“The One and Only Ivan" by Katherine Applegate is a beautifully written novel that tells the story of a silverback gorilla named Ivan, who has spent his life at the Exit 8 Big Top Mall and Video Arcade.
"The One and Only Ivan" is about a gorilla named Ivan who lives in a mall. Ivan has been living in a small cage for 27 years, and he has become used to it. He spends his days watching TV, drawing pictures, and hanging out with his friends—an old elephant named Stella and a stray dog named Bob.
One day, a baby elephant named Ruby arrives at the mall. Ruby is scared and doesn't understand why she's there. Stella, who is like a mother to Ruby, makes Ivan promise to take care of her and make sure she has a better life.
After Stella dies, Ivan becomes determined to keep his promise. He starts drawing pictures of a zoo, a place where animals like Ruby can be free. Ivan hopes that people will see his drawings and help them.
A girl named Julia, who is the daughter of the mall's janitor, notices what Ivan is doing. She and her dad help get the word out about the animals. Soon, people start to care about what happens to Ivan and Ruby.
In the end, Ivan and Ruby are moved to a zoo where they have more space and are treated well. Ivan is finally free to live with other gorillas, and Ruby has a new home where she is safe and happy.
This story is about friendship, bravery, and the importance of doing the right thing. Ivan learns that even though he lived in a cage for a long time, he could still make a big difference for his friends.
I think "The One and Only Ivan" is a really powerful and touching book. It tells the story of Ivan, a gorilla who lives in a cage at a mall, and his journey to help his friend Ruby, a baby elephant. What makes this book so special is how it shows us the world through Ivan's eyes. Even though he is a gorilla, he has feelings and thoughts just like us, which makes it easy to understand and care about him.

In Nepal, Janai Purnima is also known as Rishitarpani Purnima. On full moon day, a large number of people go to the holy riverbanks, where they take dips in the water by following a ritual process using different holy materials and chanting mantras. They offer tarpan to Saptarishi. They pray to God Shiva and put on Janai. Brahmin and Chhetri people change Janai (cotton thread worn diagonally from the left shoulder to the right waist). Whereas, other Hindus tie colorful holy thread around their wrists. On the same day, we also celebrate the bond of brothers and sisters called “Raksha Bandhan." Sisters tie rakhi on their brothers' wrists and offer them some sweets and gifts.
We also eat kwati (a mixed soup of nine different sprouted beans) in Janai Purnima. Kwati is a healthy food because the soup contains a variety of beans. This recipe is high in protein. Newari people celebrate this day as Gunhi Punhi. They celebrate this day by enjoying a variety of meals with their family and relatives. This festival is celebrated all over Nepal, and the people celebrate it according to their own cultures and traditions.
Teachers are the people who guide and educate students. They solve our problems and help us to learn and grow. Teacher's Day is a very important day to show our love and affection towards them. On this day, students give flowers, cards, cakes, and gifts to the teachers. Students prepare different programs to celebrate. On this day, students say “Thank you” to all the teachers for their hard work. Teachers play a very important role in students' lives. They help us learn new things every day. They are like our second parents. Teachers are the reason behind our success; they shape our lives by providing a good education. They encourage us to be good humans. They help us understand the world around us. They teach us academic subjects, skills, technology, games, and more. Every day, our teachers encourage us to do our best. Our teachers entertain us every day, but on Teacher's Day, we entertain them. We are greatly influenced by our teachers' good behaviour, teaching skills, and the love and respect they show us. We should appreciate our teachers not only on Teacher's Day but every day. We should always respect our teachers and help them.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is a fun book written by Roald Dahl. In the story, there is a kid named Charlie. His grandfather used to work at the chocolate factory. The factory was owned by Willy Wonka, but he closed the factory. Nobody knew why the factory was closed, but there was still some smoke coming out of the factory. One day, Willy Wonka released a new chocolate bar. Inside the chocolate bar, there was a golden ticket. Only four people could get the golden ticket. Everyone in the town was talking about the golden ticket. The next day, a Wonka Bar for his birthday. He opened it, and there was no golden ticket. That night, one of his grandfathers gave him some money to buy Wonka bars. Charlie went to the shop and bought a Wonka bar, and then ran back home. After he got home, he opened the Wonka bar but there was no golden ticket. They got sad and slept. The next morning, Charlie found a 10 dollar coin on the ground. He rushed to the nearest store and bought a Wonka bar. In that Wonka bar, there was the golden ticket. Everyone said they would give him a lot of money for the golden ticket, but the shopkeeper told Charlie to go home and not give the ticket to anyone. Charlie ran home and showed the golden ticket to all of his family members. They were happy, but someone needed to go with Charlie to the factory. His grandfather said he would go, and then he did a funny dance. I wonder what will happen next?
Tihar is my favourite holiday of the year. This festival lasts for five days, each with its own significance. The days are Kaag Tihar, Kukur Tihar, Gai Tihar, Lakshmi Puja, and Bhai Tika.
Kaag Tihar
On Kaag Tihar, people worship crows by placing grains and seeds in their yards, balconies, or roofs. Crows are believed to be associated with God Yama.
Kukur Tihar
The second day, Kukur Tihar, is dedicated to dogs. Dog owners apply tika on their pets' foreheads, offer them treats, and adorn them with marigold necklaces. It is believed that God Yama had two dogs with four eyes who watched over the gates of Naraka.
Gai Tihar and Lakshmi Puja
The third day is Gai Tihar. Cows, the national animal of Nepal, are worshipped. This day is also significant as it is when Goddess Lakshmi is welcomed into clean homes. A special puja is performed to invite her blessings of wealth, good health, and prosperity.
Govardhan and Mha Puja
This day is also known as Goru Puja. Cows are worshipped, and cow dung is shaped into a mountain (Himal) and revered.
Bhai Tika
The final day, Bhai Tika, is a time for family gatherings. Relatives come together to put tika on each other’s foreheads, exchange gifts, and celebrate with traditional foods like sel roti. Sisters put tika on their brothers' foreheads and offer them gifts, and the whole family enjoys festive meals.
During Tihar, people light diyos (oil lamps) both inside and outside their homes. They also decorate their floors with colourful patterns made from rice, petals, and other materials, known as Rangoli. Firecrackers are sometimes used, but their use has been banned by the Nepali government due to safety concerns.
Kids go door-to-door singing songs and asking for gifts, while adults often play games like kauda, which involves cards.
Tihar falls between October and November each year and is a vibrant and joyous celebration of culture and family.

Do you know what pollution is? Pollution is when air, water, land, or soil etc is polluted by various materials like plastic, smoke and harmful chemicals etc. Most pollution is caused by human activities. The main types of pollution are water pollution, air pollution, and land or soil pollution. Pollution is very injurious to health. It damages our environment.
Water pollution is when water is contaminated with chemicals and microorganisms like viruses and bacteria. Water bodies like oceans, seas, lakes, rivers, ponds, etc are contaminated with chemicals. Air pollution is when the air gets contaminated by harmful smoke and dust. Land or soil pollution is exploitation of land due to deforestation, acid rain, sewage, urbanisation etc. To protect our environment, we should get involved in many awareness programs and keep our surroundings clean.
