My school’s Dashain holidays began on October 5. The holidays ended on October 21. During the first three days of my Dashain vacation, I worked on my project. Then I went to my village in Dhading. I had to walk for a half an hour after getting off the bus. When I reached my village, my grandmother and other members of the family were shelling maize. I also shelled more than 50 cobs of maize. We did this for many days. We even played cards. I kept losing at the beginning, but later on, I won 80 rupees in total.
On Tika day, I had to give some money, along with tika, to those who were younger than me. But some did not take the money, and I kept it for myself. My little brother gave me 20 rupees. On that day, the red tika was all around my forehead. The next day we came back to Kathmandu. My grandmother also joined, as she had to meet some relatives in Kathmandu. She was very happy.
When I reached home, I received a tika from my grandmother and grandfather. The next day we went to the Jadibuti bus park to go to my maternal uncle’s home. When we reached there, it was late, and we sat down to eat dinner because we were so hungry. The next day we put on a tika and went to Chautara and the temple. Nearby there was a swing, and my sister and I played together. We also went to Buddha Park. Then we came back. We ate rice with mountain goat’s meat. My sister and I did not like mountain goat’s meat because it was bitter. We went to a nearby shop and ate chips. We also ate Chatpate.
We came back to Kathmandu in an electric van. It was my first time riding an electric van, and I was very excited. We reached Kathmandu at 9:30 p.m. I stayed at Phupu Didi’s house because my sister was staying there. My mom did not stay there. The next day we went to Naxal. We put on Tika and went to Bode with a relative. They gave us some money and we left to go to another relative at Pepsi-Cola. Because there was puja. One of my little brothers was there as well. We played cards and football together.
The story begins with a boy named Tommy Stubbins, who lives in Puddleby. His father, Jacob Stubbins, is the cobbler of Puddleby. Due to his family’s lack of money, Tommy doesn’t go to school. He has three great friends: Joe, the mussel man; Matthew Mugg, the cat’s meat man; and Luke, the hermit.
One day, while Tommy is walking in the wild, he sees an eagle attacking a squirrel. Fortunately, when the eagle sees Tommy, it flies away, and the squirrel is saved. However, the squirrel has a broken leg, so Tommy decides to take it home to care for it until he can find someone to mend its leg. He tries to get help from Joe, but Joe doesn’t know how to fix the leg. However, Joe tells him about someone who might help – Doctor Dolittle.
Tommy asks Matthew where to find the Doctor (since Matthew knows everyone in Puddleby), and Matthew takes him to Doctor Dolittle’s house, explaining a bit about the Doctor along the way. Unfortunately, Doctor Dolittle is away on a voyage, so he isn’t home. Tommy visits the Doctor's house daily for a week, but each time, he’s disappointed. One day, while running errands, Tommy decides to check the Doctor's house again. It starts raining, and on his way back, he bumps into a man wearing a tall black hat and coat. Tommy asks if he’s Doctor Dolittle – and he is!
Tommy stays with Doctor Dolittle for the day and keeps visiting him regularly. The Doctor can speak the languages of many animals, including dogs, cats, and even eagles. He shows Tommy his zoo and garden. Tommy grows so fond of Doctor Dolittle that he decides he wants to be a naturalist when he grows up. Astonishingly, Tommy’s parents agree to let him live with the Doctor for two years, as long as the Doctor teaches Tommy to read and write.
Soon, one of Tommy’s friends, Luke the hermit, is accused of murder. With the Doctor's help, they prove Luke’s innocence, and he avoids jail. Afterward, Tommy and Doctor Dolittle set off on a voyage to Spider Monkey Island. They face many challenges along the way, like a broken ship and even a bullfight. When they finally reach the island, several important events take place, including a war, the Doctor becoming the island's king, and saving Long Arrow, a naturalist like the Doctor. Before they leave, Doctor Dolittle meets the Great Glass Sea Snail and receives seeds from Long Arrow to share with doctors around the world.
After travelling through the Great Glass Sea Snail’s shell, they finally return home. Two years have passed since the start of their voyage. In the end, Doctor Dolittle achieves his goal of learning shellfish language, while Tommy fulfils his dreams of learning to read and write and going on a voyage at sea.

Oh! It’s fun to sing,
But whenever the bell goes Ding, Ding, Ding!!!
I get little sad,
And a bit mad.
The music beats are nice,
I think they are cool like ice.
Oh! It’s time for snacks,
Good things, I have finished my tasks.
I like to hear,
Music in my ears.
A human body consists of 60% water. Without water, the earth would appear and be lifeless. It provides strength and nourishment to our bodies. Water enables the smooth functioning of our bones and helps regulate our body temperature. It quenches our thirst, forms saliva to hydrate our mouth, and protects our tissues and spinal cord. Water also helps in digestion. Plants need water for photosynthesis to survive. The sources of water include rivers, lakes, ponds, seas, and oceans.
There is a process that shows how water moves all around our planet. The process is called the Water Cycle. It starts with evaporation, which happens when the sun heats up water from places like rivers, lakes, and oceans, turning it into water vapour. As this vapour rises into the sky, it cools down and forms clouds in a process called condensation. When the clouds get too full and heavy, they release the water as precipitation, which can be rain or snow, falling back to the ground because of gravity. This whole process keeps happening over and over again, making sure we always have water on Earth.
The country that I want to visit is Japan. Japan is one of the most popular countries in the world. I want to visit Japan because it has many things that are different from other countries. The most popular things in Japan are cartoons and anime. My favourite cartoon is Doremon and my favourite anime is Pokémon. Japan is also famous for its food like sushi, ramen, miso soup etc. Japan also has smart technology like blue traffic lights, smart farming, vending machines etc. The capital city of Japan is Tokyo which is also one of the most popular cities in the world. It is said that Japan is living in the future and I think it is actually true because of the smart technologies.
Kathmandu is the capital of our country, Nepal. The city is surrounded by hills, which look beautiful. It is a very nice city, but it has been polluted in many ways. All the rivers in Kathmandu are polluted because the drains from our houses and factories are connected to the rivers. We also throw garbage into and along the banks of the rivers. If this trend continues, the Bagmati River will soon be declared the "Sorrow of Nepal" in the future.
People throw plastic wrappers, polythene bags, and other garbage on the roads, which pollutes the environment. We should stop doing this to prevent more damage to Kathmandu. Additionally, there are many old vehicles in the city that emit smoke and produce irritating noises, which are harmful to our health.
Kathmandu has many positive aspects, but pollution remains its biggest problem. One of the best things we can do is plant more trees, and one of the worst things is continuing to pollute. I urge all the people of Kathmandu, including us students, to dispose of waste properly. Recycle or reuse items whenever possible, and avoid throwing unusable things on the streets.
