A Step Closer to The End: A Story of Syncope

In the loud and deep sea of human emotions, that feeling is an unavoidable wave that has caught me many times without warning, leaving me gasping for breath. For those who have had the same storm of feeling, describing the sensation, talking to people about the emotion, and understanding the web of this experience that accompany my situation is very crucial to others and mostly is misunderstood by almost everyone.  

 

Having random blackouts are my very intense episodes of fear that have traumatized me both mentally and physically. They strike me suddenly, mostly out of nowhere, or be triggered by “that” specific situation, thoughts, or memories. As the threat of anxiety wraps around my mind, I feel an overwhelming urge to run away from it all, even when there is nothing to feel threatened about. The physical manifestations of having to black out can be just as exhausting as the mental turmoil. Increase of heart palpitations, shortness of breath, trembling, sweating, dizziness are just the few symptoms that are visible to other people before i black out, it often mimics the sensation of a heart attack. One of the major indications of blacking out is the feeling of losing control over everything. Normal thoughts become clouded by fears and I start feeling like I am trapped in a never-ending cycle of worry and despair. This loss of control is very terrifying, animating the intensity of blacking out and its duration. 

 

After I wake up, I mostly feel emotionally drained, and mentally exhausted, sometimes even having the thoughts about ending it all. The adrenaline rush that accompanies me after, leaves a never leaving sense of unease, making it very difficult to relax and regain myself for the whole day. The fear of experiencing another attack is a very difficult and large feeling that casts a shadow over my daily activities and changes the way people think about me. Despite the overwhelming efforts shown by everyone towards me, there are some people who think of this as an act of seeking attention, they don’t even know the feeling I get when I am going through this. I feel like everytime I faint, I am not going to open my eyes. My life flashes in front of me everyday and it's not even in my power to somehow stop it. It is very important for people to recognize that having random black out does not defy a person’s worth or strength. It is a very common experience that most teenagers are going through these days, and seeking help and talking to someone is a sign of courage and not failure. By showing understanding and compassion for those people who go through this, people can create a more supportive environment where individuals like me feel empowered to speak and seek help. 

 

In conclusion, the feeling of having to black out is a very complex show of emotions and sensations. By showing light on the people who are mostly misunderstood on this aspect of mental health, we can create a greater empathy for those who struggle to talk about their feelings.

मान्छे ठुलो भएपछि गरिन्छ विवाह संस्कार

२ परिवारबिच जोडिन्छ नाता र सम्बन्ध।। 

 

रमाउँछौ हामी योमरी खाँदै पुष महिनामा 

देवी सरस्वतीको पूजा गरिन्छ श्रीपञ्चमीमा ।। 

 

७७ वर्ष भएपछि गरिन्छ बुढाबुढीको जंकु

मृत्युपछि नै गरिन्छ जीवनको अन्तिम संस्कार ।।

We all view history as the study of past events but in reality history is the documentation of human life on earth. History is often divided into multiple parts or sections in which our human civilization has gone through different circumstances according to their location. But even in the difference in circumstances, there often seem to be similar patterns that follow. This is the reason history seems to repeat itself. No matter whatever changes we bring, the same problem will arise once again in the future. Throughout the existence of human civilization we have made various mistakes. These mistakes will be read in books for the rest of eternity. 

 

Throughout the existence of our civilization the most repeated events are wars. The urge of dominance and power has led to the downfall of multiple nations and empires. A king or an emperor always has an urge to expand their nation and gain dominance. Every leader is always in the search for superiority. Whether it's in territory or a specific sector. If the decisions of the leader are not appreciated by the public they will cause a social movement. Social movements also show the repeating nature of history whether it's from labor movements or civil rights movements etc. Each generation has its own problems and its own solutions but people often take notes from past strikes.But in most of the strikes whether from the past or in the present there is always a clash between tradition and progress.

 

Despite the great achievements in our civilization, human nature has not changed. People still have the same desires, fear and the same greed and ambition for power and dominance. These qualities influence our behavior and create recurring patterns. Even though there are no changes in the qualities of our human nature. There is a huge difference in our perception of our past. Our past has created the present but we as a society have failed to learn from our previous mistakes. This is a result of our ignorance towards the past. Our past is meant to serve as a path which leads us to  the future. Our mistakes are meant to guide us towards the right path. Without putting historically important events into consideration we will make the same mistakes as our predecessors. 

 

History is very complex. There is no certainty that we can predict the future using our past. But there is also no certainty that we can’t. Some events repeat with time due to our ignorance of our past. If we completely ignore something then it will cause massive issues in the future. 

 

In conclusion, we can say that history is repeated by our ignorance toward the past or our arrogance for the past. It is the result of us not paying attention to our problems. Our human nature is also the one to be blamed. We try to achieve something greater than when we have. We often tend to search for diamonds when we already have gold. We as humans are never happy or satisfied to the full extent. We alway have the hope of achieving something better. To end the repetitive nature of history we have to change. History is a guild and will not change. We are the ones to adapt to our history and we are the ones to change it at the same time.

The concept of mental health has been prevailing throughout history but it was never really familiarized to society in the past, as any issues regarding mental health problems were often just chalked up to superstitions of ghosts, witches, and black magic depending on the mythologies of the country. The cure to these sorts of diseases was most often exorcism where the patient was beaten to death with a broom of some sort, lobotomy where using a metal rod a hole was made in the frontal lobe of the patient, and some sort of physical torture that made the patient overall unresponsive to any sort of interaction. Death was such a common occurrence while performing such cures on the patient to the point that people just assumed that mentally ill people who came from hell were sent back to hell. This was a truly disturbing period of time throughout the history of human civilization.

 

Today in modern society we are finally able to identify a long list of mental diseases ranging from slightly concerning to serious concern raising. People are becoming more accepting of mental health. This means they understand that mental health is just as important as physical health. People are starting to realize that it's okay to talk about feelings and struggles. They're learning that mental health problems are common and nothing to be ashamed of. More and more, society is offering support and resources for those who need help. This acceptance is making it easier for people to seek help when they're not feeling well mentally. It's like opening up a door for everyone to feel okay about taking care of their minds, just like they do for their bodies.The a 

 

Movies about mental health can teach us a lot and help us understand it better. When these movies are advertised and shown to society, they can make a big impact. People watch movies to be entertained, but they also learn from them. When movies talk about mental health, they can raise awareness and reduce stigma. For example, a movie might show a character struggling with depression. When people see this, they might understand better what depression is like. This can make them more compassionate towards others who are going through similar struggles.

 

When mental health movies are advertised, they start conversations. Families might talk about what they saw in the movie. Friends might discuss how they feel about mental health. These conversations can break down barriers and make people feel less alone. It's important for everyone to know that it's okay to talk about mental health. Movies can also show that help is available. They might feature characters getting therapy or reaching out to support groups. This can encourage people who are struggling to seek help for themselves. हामीले हाम्रो यात्रा पोखराबाट सुरु गर्याैँ । १ दिन पोखरामै घुम्दै हामीले आरोहणको लागि चाहिने सामग्रीहरू किन्याैँ । अर्को दिन हामी दिउँसो  गाडी चढेर पोखरा देखि लेगुवा गयाैँ । ३ घण्टाको यात्रा सवारपछि हामी लेगुवा पुग्याैँ । त्यहाँ हामीले भरियालाई भेटेर हाम्रो सम्मान जिम्मा लगायौँ । एकछिन अलमल गरेर हामी आफ्नो बाटो लाग्याैँ । यो यात्रामा मेरो परिवार र मेरो बुवाको साथीको परिवार गएका थियाैँ । लेगुवाको बाटोमा एक लामो झाेलुङ्गे पुल थियाे । त्यहाँ फोटो खिचेर हामी आफ्नै बाटो लाग्याैँ । त्यहाँको शीतल भाव धेरै नै राम्रो थियाे ।  हरियालीले भरिपूर्ण जङ्गल र विभिन्न प्रकारका फूलले ढाकिएका तरेली । हामी हिँड्दा हिँड्दै  त्यो भावमा रमाइरहेका थियाैँ । 

हामीले बाटोमा हिँड्दा हिँड्दै प्रकृतिमा भएका धेरै कुरा याद गर्याैँ । हाम्रो गाइडले हामीलाई प्राकृतिक तातो पानीबारे जानकारी दिए । त्यो प्रकृतिको एक असामान्य उपहार थियाे । जब आरोहणपछि आरोहीहरू फर्किन्छन्,  त्याे तातो पानीमा जिउ सेकाउने इच्छा हुन्छ र ताताे पानीले जिउ सेकाउँछन् । त्याे जाेसुकैलाइ पनि निकै सम्झनलायक थियाे ।  हामीले फर्किँदा त्यो ठाउँको भ्रमण र त्यहाँकाे

 आनन्द लिने विचार गर्याैँ । बेलुका अँध्यारो हुँदासम्म हामी हाम्रो गन्तव्य पुगिसकेका थियाैँ । बाटोमा हामीले  सबैलाई ३ समूहमा विभाजन गरेका थियाैँ । ६ बजेतिर समूह १ र २ त पुगिसकेको थियाे तर समूह ३ लाई ढिला भैरहेको थियो । धेरै कुरेपछि उनीहरू आए र हामीले हाम्रो खानपिनको काम गर्याैँ । त्यसपछि हामीले लोवर चाम्राेङमा रात बितायाैँ । अब जाडो असाध्यै बढ्दै गइरहेको थियो । हामी दिनको थकाइले छिट्टै निदायौँ। 

 

अर्को दिन म बिहान नित्यकर्म सकेर खाजासाजा खाएपछि हामी फेरि आफ्नो बाटो लाग्याैँ । अब हामीले त्यहाँको दृश्य याद गर्न थाल्याैँ । हिउँले ढाकेका सेताम्मे हिमालहरू, घाममा मोतीझैँ टलक्क टल्किएका थिए । बाटोमा गीत सुन्दै म आफ्नै तालमा जम्दै थिएँ । हिउँ हेर्नेहरू स्वदेशी र विदेशीहरूकाे ठुलै जमात थियाे । धेरै प्रयासपछि त्यो भिडभाड भएको ठाउँबाट निस्केर आफ्नो बाटो लागेँ । म एक्लै हिँड्दै थिएँ । करिब २ घण्टाकाे हिँडाइपछि हिमालय भन्ने ठाउँमा पुगियाे । त्यो ठाउँ खासगरी विदेशी पाहुनाहरू लक्षित थियाे । निकै सुन्दर र आकर्षित थियाे । हिमाली / पहाडी क्षेत्रमा सजिलै नपाउने सुविधाहरू पनि त्यहाँ थिए । त्यो ठाउँमा हामी सबै बसेर केही खाने कुरा खायाैँ । त्यसकाे आनन्द लियाैँ । त्यसपछि हाम्राे फर्किने यात्रा सुरू भयाे र फर्कियाैँ ।

वि.सं. २०८० का पाशुपत क्षेत्रका सकारात्मक परिवर्तन

गत वर्ष २०८० मा मैले धेरै सकारात्मक विकासहरू आफ्नो समाजमा देखेँ ।  ती विकासहरूको पछाडिकाे कारण भनेको पक्कै पनि असल नेता अर्थात हाम्रो वडा ८ का वडा अध्यक्षकाे सक्रियता हाे । उनले आफ्नो तर्फबाट वडालाई विकास गर्न धेरै काम गरेका छन् । जसको सकारात्मक परिणाम म आफैँले अनुभव गरेँ। 

सर्वप्रथम साल २०७९ मा चट्याङ्गले क्षति पुगेको मेरै घर बाहिरको मृत्युञ्जय महादेवको नयाँ ढाँचा तयार पारी पुननिर्माण गरिएको थियो । यस पुननिर्माणको काम मलाई किन राम्रो लाग्यो भन्दा पहिला बाटोमा बग्ने फोहोर नाला मन्दिरभित्र जान्थ्यो तर पुननिर्माण गर्दा त्यस्तो नहोस भनेर मन्दिरको शिवलिङ्ग नै उठाएर मन्दिर अग्लो बनाइएको छ । त्यसैगरी मैले केही संरचना भत्केको तथा जग्गा खाली गरेको पनि समाजमा देखेँ । राज्यको सम्पत्ति राज्यले पाएको छ । त्यसैगरी मैले आफ्नो समाजमा केही नयाँ फल्चा तथा डबलीहरूको पुननिर्माण पनि भएका छन् । केही फल्छ त धेरै अघि हराएका र म जन्मेदेखि थाहा  नपाएका पनि छन् । वडाबाट पुननिर्माणको काम गरेपछि मात्र ती फल्चाहरू त्यहाँ थिए वा हुनु पर्नेबारे थाहा पाएँ । 

त्यसैगरी वि.सं. २०८० मा नै काठमाडाैँ महानागरपालिका तथा ग्वोल बाज खलको आयोजना भएको सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम “ग्वोल अर्क्रेस्ट २०८०” हो । यस अर्केस्ट्राको मुख्य उद्देश्य भनेको यस ग्वोल क्षेत्र अर्थात् पशुपति क्षेत्रमा स्थित ९ इनार, ९ पोखरी, ९ बाजा, ९ डबली, ९ ढुङ्गे धारा, आदि प्रवर्धन गर्न थियो । त्यसको लागि विभिन्न सांस्कृतिक धिमे नाच तथा २/३ घण्टा लामो यहाँ रहेका  सांस्कृतिक बाजा बजाएर अर्केस्ट्रा तयार पारिएको थियो । यस अर्केस्ट्रा ७/८ भन्दा बढी टोल तथा बाज खलको सहभागिता रहेको देखिन्छ । यसमा हामीले धिमे, धा, न्याखी, बाँसुरी, पोङ्गा, दाफा भजन आदि देख्न पायौँ । त्यसैगरी यस सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रममा हामीले अरू यहाँ हुने जात्राहरू पनि देख्याैँ । लाखे धुनमा लाखे नाच, रोपाइँ जात्रा तथा खड्ग जात्राको स्वरूप देखिएको थियो । त्यसमा अर्केस्ट्राको स्वरूप झन् बढाउन नेवारी खाजाका स्टलहरू पनि लगाइएको थियो। 

त्यसैगरी ताम्रेश्वारा मन्दिर नजिकै रहेको इनारको पनि पट्ट लगाएर पुननिर्माणको काम सुरु गरियो । त्यो इनार पनि त्यहाँ रहेको हामी सबैले पहिलो पटक थाहा पायौँ । त्यसैगरी अरू पनि ३ इनारको ठाउँ थाहा पाएको र यस आउने आर्थिक वर्षमा निर्माण प्रक्रिया सुरु गर्ने भनिएकाे छ । त्यसैगरी जय वागेश्वरीकाे पुरानाे बाटोमा पनि डोजर चलाई ढुङ्गा छाप्न थालिएको छ, जसले हाम्रो समाजको सांस्कृतिक पहिचान फेरि फर्काउने छ । त्यसैगरी मेरो घर नजिकै ब्रह्माको मन्दिर पनि भेटिएको थियो जुन त्यहाँ रहेको कसैलाई थाहा थिएन । विज्ञका अनुसार वि.सं. १९९० को भूकम्पमा त्यो मन्दिर भत्किएको थियो । जस्तो काम आउने आर्थिक वर्षमा अवश्य हुने छ । त्यसैगरी शिवरात्री, तीज जस्ता पर्वमा पशुपति क्षेत्रवासीको आवतजावतमा सहजका लागि नागरिकता हुनेको स्थानीय परिचय पत्र पनि बनाइएको छ जसले यहाँका बासिन्दालाई धेरै सहज हुने छ र पशुपति क्षेत्रवासी हो भन्ने प्रमाण पनि हुने छ ।

यी हुन् मैले देखेका र अनुभव गरेका २०८० का आफ्ना समाजमा भएका सकारात्मक विकास जुन राम्रो र असल वडा अध्यक्षले गर्दा सम्भव भएको हो । यसले हाम्रो सम्पदाको जोगेर्ना हुनेछ र आउने पुस्ताले यी हाम्रा सांस्कृतिक महत्त्वका वस्तु र परम्परा देख्ने छन् । बाँकी रहेका काम वि.सं.२०८१ मा अवश्य पूरा हुने छन् ।

Cloud seeding is a scientific method that enhances a cloud's potential to produce rain or snow and affect other weather occurrences. The technology, sometimes known as weather manipulation, can be extremely beneficial in locations where natural water supplies are insufficient. Following cloud seeding, precipitation (rain or snow) will fall from the clouds to the ground.

 

Starting of Cloud Seeding

Scientists at the General Electric Research Laboratory first used this technique in 1946. They found out that using dry ice and silver iodide could help them improve the creation of ice crystals in the clouds. The cloud seeding technology used right now also involves dry ice and silver iodide.

 

How Does Cloud Seeding Work?

According to sources, not all clouds can create rain, and even if they do make rain water, only a few clouds have enough moisture for a large raindrop. Cloud seeding gives clouds lots of ice crystals, and if done in a right time, it leads to more moisture supply, which eventually creates rainwater.

 

Silver iodide is used instead for natural ice crystals, as silver iodides structure is very similar to natural ice crystals. When they put silver iodide in the top part of the cloud, the silver iodide crystal grows quickly once exposed to the cloud's moisture. Right after that, the ice crystals in the cloud become heavy and a large raindrop. 1 gram of silver iodide can create up to 10 trillion artificial ice crystals.

 

Why Cloud Seeding?

Cloud seeding is done in locations with a limited amount of water and in places where it doesn't rain a lot because cloud seeding can help increase the amount of rain in these locations and reduce the scarcity of water, especially in hot and dry regions of our planet. An example of this is UAE.

 

Another reason for cloud seeding is to increase the overall GDP of a nation. Since running and crop yields are related, cloud seeding can help increase the overall GDP of a nation. A higher overall GDP means the living standards of people will also increase. If living standards and overall GDP increase, tax revenue for the government will also increase, and the government can spend it on infrastructure and development projects.

 

Cloud seeding can also help improve the living conditions of people. If the overall GDP and crop yield increase, the local population can earn more wealth and income, which allows them to afford all their necessities. If their wealth and income increase, they can afford to send their kids to school and provide them with good and proper education. In turn, a higher number of kids will be able to improve their future.

 

Negative Impact of Cloud Seeding

Though cloud seeding can make many positive impacts on the world, it also has many negative impacts, and if we don't understand them and find a way to nullify them in time, then we might bring a new man-made disaster to the world. 

 

One negative aspect of cloud seeding can be, it uses and relies on harmful chemicals in order to work. Large amounts of dry ice, silver iodide or potassium iodide are used for cloud seeding. These chemicals can be very harmful for our environment if they are used in an excessive manner.

 

Cloud seeding can cause our soil to be infertile as the chemicals that are injected into the clouds fall down on the surface in the form of rain. In the long run, it can cause the soil to be infertile and polluted. If the soil gets too polluted, then planting crops will not be possible, and this will cause a disruption in the food supply.

 

In the same way, cloud seeding can also cause water pollution and contaminate water sources like rivers and lakes. This will also have a negative impact on groundwater and cause it to be contaminated as well.

If water sources are contaminated, then the health of humans will also be in danger, as we humans drink the same water.

 

Conclusion

From the above, we can see the many positive and negative impacts of cloud seeding on our environment and our health. We can’t say anything right now but instead improve this technology and try to neutralize or minimize the negative effects of cloud seeding on our environment and our health.

Having good mental health means you can cope with life’s challenges and feel good about yourself. Keeping our mental health good means having a healthy life. 

 

To achieve something in our life, we need to maintain our life and live a healthy life. It can only be possible when we have a good status of our mental health. There are several ways of keeping our mental health good. We need to maintain our time and set our boundaries. We need to get enough sleep, eat well, stay active, engage in different hobbies, limit screen time, seek help when we need it, etc. If we manage to maintain all of these things, it can be beneficial for us. 

 

In today's generation, many people, especially children, struggle with mental health. There are many children suffering from different problems like anxiety, depression, stress, and many more and this is all the symptoms of bad mental health. Most of the children are not able to share things with others and keep it to themselves and take stress which can lead to more serious issues if left untreated.  

 

Good mental health is vitally important for overall well-being and quality of life. There are many important and benefits of having good mental health and they are: they help us to reduce our anxiety, it boosts productivity at work and school, help us to maintain physical and well-being, improves our mood, anxiety, creates peace in our life. If we manage to make our mental health good, we can live a healthy life and it can show a positive impact in our physical life. 

 

Our physical health and mental health are closely connected. When we have a physical health problem, it can affect our mental health, and when we have a mental health issue, it can affect our physical health. Taking care of our physical health through exercise, healthy eating, and getting enough sleep can help improve our mental health. Similarly, taking care of our mental health through relaxation techniques, therapy, and self-care can help improve our physical health. It is important for us to remember that our overall health and our body is connected so taking care of one aspect can have a positive impact on the other. 

 

Taking care of our mental health is crucial for living a happy and healthy life. By making it a priority, we can build strong relationships, succeed in our goals, and feel good about ourselves. It's okay to ask for help, and there are many resources available to support us. It is also true that when we feel good mentally, it helps us to handle our stress and can give us a more peaceful and calm environment for relaxation which can provide us with a healthier relationship.

हाम्रो भ्रमण २०७८ साल ०९ महिना ०९ गते शनिबारदेखि सुरु भएको थियो । पानीको थोपा तपतप गरेसँगै मेरो आँखाको ढकनी बिस्तारै खुले । मैले मेरो हातमा लगाएको घडी हेरेँ । बिहानीको ५:३० भएको थियो । वरिपरि हेर्दा सबै जना बाहिर जान तयार हुँदै हुनुहुन्थ्यो । मेरो अचम्मित अनुहार देखेर आमाले जाडो बिदा सुरु भएर हामी लुम्बिनी जाने भनेर बानाएको योजना बारे सम्झाउनु भयो । मैले भुसुक्कै बिर्सिएकी थिएँ। मैले हतार हतारमा कपडा लाएर तयार भएकी थिएँ । गाडी ६:३० मा काठमाडौँबाट लुम्बिनी जाने थियो । हामी बिहानै बसपार्कमा पुग्दा पनि गाडी गइसकेको रहेछ । पोखरा जाने गाडी भने त्यहीँ थियो । त्यसैले हामी पोखरातिर नै जाने भनेर निर्णय गर्यौँ । हामी पोखरा जाँदा करिब साढे सात बजेको थियो होला । हामीले पोखरा जाँदा बाटाेमा सुन्दर रमणीय ठाउँहरूको अवलोकन गर्दै गयौँ । हामीलाई अलि भोक लागेको जस्तो भएपछि हामीले नजिकै एउटा होटेल खोजेर खाना खायौँ । त्यसपछि त्यहाँ भएका नदीहरू हेरेर फेरि गाडीमा चढेर पोखरातिरै फेरि नै लाग्यौँ । हामी पोखरा पुग्दा  करिब करिब साढे चार भएको अनुमान गर्न सकिन्छ । हामीले पोखरा पुगेपछि एउटा होटेलको व्यवस्था गर्न खोज्यौँ । केही समय खोजेपछि हामीले एउटा सुन्दर होटेल पायाैँ । त्यहाँ हामीले बाहिर एउटा सुन्दर दृश्य देख्न मिल्ने रहेछ । हामीले होटेलमा थान्को मुनको लगायौँ र बाहिर निस्क्यौँ । भोकाएको भएर हामीहरूले एउटा होटेलमा गएर खाना खायौँ । बेलुकी हामी होटलमै फर्केर त्यहाँ विश्राम गर्यौँ । 

दोस्रो दिन हामी पोखराका सुन्दर र धार्मिक स्थलहरूमा जाने भनेर निर्णय गर्यौं । हामी पहिला फेवा तालमा गयौँ । त्यहाँ माछालाई चारो दिनु सँगसँगै हामीले त्यहाँको बिचमा रहेको सुन्दर मन्दिरहरूकाे पनि अवलोकनमा गर्याैँ यस्तो सुन्दर र सांस्कृतिक धार्मिक स्थललाई देखेर मन पुलकित भएको थियो । भोक लागेको कारणले हामीले खाना खाने र विश्राम लिने भनेर निर्णय गर्यौं। त्यसपछि हामीहरू पोखराको चमेरे गुफा हेर्न गयौँ । त्यहाँ माथि रहेका चमेरा देखेर मनमा त्रासको भाव आयो । त्योसँगै हामी महेन्द्र गुफा पनि गयौँ । त्यो दिन हामीले त्यतिमा नै सक्यौँ ।

तेस्रो दिन हामी पोखराको डेभिड फल्स हेर्न गयौँ । पानीको कल्कलसँगै पनि त्यहीँ डुबेको मैले सोचेकी थिएँ । त्यस दिन हामीले पोखराको अरू ठाउँहरूको पनि अवलोकना गर्यौँ । हामीले त्यो भ्रमण पाँच दिनको मात्रै राख्ने भनेका थियौँ । त्यसैले हामीले त्यसै दिन प्यारा ग्लाइडिङ पनि गर्ने भनेर निर्णय गर्यौँ । म सानै भएको कारणले मैले प्यारा ग्लाइडिङ गर्न पाइएन । तर आमा र बुबाले गर्नुभयो । आकाशबाट खस्दा सार्है मजा आउने रहेछ भनेर बुबा र आमाले मलाई भन्नुभयो । 

चौथौ दिन म बिहान घाम उदाउनु अगाडि नै उठेकी थिएँ । हामीले आफ्नो नित्यकर्म सकेर गाडीमा चढ्याैँ । हामीले हिमाल हेर्न गएका थियौँ । सेतो हिमालमा सुन जस्तै टल्किने सूर्यको किरण देखेर मेरो मन आकाशको नौ तले दरबारमा थियो । गाडीमा चडेर हामी होटेलमा फर्कियौँ । त्यस दिन हामीले सेती नदी पनि हेर्न गयौँ । शान्त भएर पनि छङछङ सुसाउने सेतीलाई देखेर मन निकै रमायाे । हामी थकित भएका कारण हामीले त्यस दिन विश्राम गर्ने भन्यौँ । अन्त्यमा हामीले सबै सर सामान मिलायौँ । 

पोखरा जस्तो सुन्दर, प्राकृतिक र रमणीय स्थललाई छाडेर फर्किने दिन आयो । थोरै दिनमै पोखरा र यसको सुन्दरताले मेरो मन चोरी सकेको थियो । तर सबै राम्रो कुरा सधैँ पाइँदैन । त्यसपछि हामी फर्कियाैँ । काठमाडौँ फर्कने हवाइ जहाजमा चढियाे । हवाइजहाजबाट बाहिर हेर्दा मैले सोचे, “कति रमाइलाे  यात्रा रह्यो यो!”

एक दशकको अनुभव

मानिस आफ्ना अतीतका र पहिलेका समयमा घटेका गल्तीहरुबाट अनुभव बटुली नवयात्रामा प्रस्थान गर्छन् । उसको त्यो नवयात्रामा उसले प्राक्तन वा अतीतका गल्तीहरु नदोहो¥याउनुमा नै उसको नवजीवनको यात्रामा सार्थकता आप्लावित हुन्छ । तसर्थ आफ्नो अनुभवबाट नयाँ नयाँ कुरा सिकी र गल्तीलाई परिष्कृत गरी चरितार्थमा ल्याए जीवन र जीवनयात्रा अर्थपूर्ण हुने कुरामा द्विमत छैन । कक्षा १ देखि १० सम्मको अक्षुण्ण यात्रामा मैले भिन्नभिन्न विषयका अनुभव बटुलेको छु । १ देखि १० सम्मको लगभग एक दशकको यात्रामा मैले अनुभूत गरेका सारा विषयवस्तुहरु केलाउन मुस्किल नै हुन्छ किनकि आफ्नै जीवनमा घटेका घटनाहरु पनि विस्मरणीय हुन्छन् ।

 

मेरो स्मृतिमा खेलिरहेका छन् पूर्वप्राथमिक तहमा ४ वर्ष बिताएका ती पलहरु । विद्यालय जान हिच्किचाउने, रुने, कालान्तर पछि विद्यालय खोल्दा जीवन नै हारेको पीडासरह रुने, कराउने र पुनः विद्यालय गएपछि फेरी खुशी हुने, साथीहरुसित रमाउने इत्यादि अनेकौ कुराहरु स्मरणीय छन् । ती कुराहरु मनमस्तिष्कमा खेलाइरहँदा अनायासै अप्रत्याशित मुस्कान अधरमा आउँछ । ती तहमा बनेका साथीहरुमध्ये ओमजङ्ग बस्नेत, स्नेहा बज्राचार्य, कर्तव्य कार्की, प्रयुष मानन्धर, गुनगुन कार्की आदिले कहिल्यै नमेटिने गरी स्मृतिमा नाम छाडेर गएका छन् । अहिले त्यस समयका अधिकांश साथीहरुको नाम नै याद छैन । कोही कोही फेसबुकमा साथी छन्, कोहीकोहीको फेसबुक नै छैन, अझ मुख्य विडम्बना त धेरैको नाम नै स्मृतिमा छैन । पर्यावरणीय अवस्था थाहा नभएको ती पल नै सम्पन्न लाग्दो रहेछ, न ईष्या हुन्थ्यो न द्वेष, न स्तर हेरिन्थ्यो न त अनुहार नै ।

 

पूर्वप्राथमिक तहबाट १ कक्षामा जाँदाको अन्तिम दिनमा साथीहरुलाई छोड्नपरेको चिच्याहट् र पूर्वाग्रह स्वभाव प्रदर्शन गरेका कुराहरु सम्झँदा पनि अहिले हाँस्न मन लाग्छ । आखिर अतीतका अपरिपक्व व्यवहार भविष्यमा हाँस्नुकै लागि त बनेका रहेछन् ।

 

कक्षा १ मा भर्ना गर्न जाँदा वि.सं. २०७२ सालको समयावधि थियो । २०७२ साल वैशाख १२ गते १ कक्षाको लागि भर्ना गर्न जाँदै गर्दा आएको आकस्मिक भुकम्प मेरो एक दशकको भयानक अनुभूति मध्ये एक थियो । त्यस समय मानिसहरुको सुस्केरा, रोदन मैले श्रवण गरेका थिएँ तर बुभ्न सकेको थिइन किनभने त्यो बेला म अपरिपक्व नै थिएँ । मैले ‘भुकम्प’ पढेर हैन भोगेर थाहा पाएको थिएँ । त्यस समय भुकम्पले भत्काएका घरहरु र रोइरहेका मान्छेहरु देखेर मेरो मन खल्लो भएको थियो । तत्पश्चात् लामो समयसम्म विद्यालय बन्द भएको र विद्यालय खुलिसकेपछि पनि सुविधासम्पन्न कक्षा नभई माथि प्लास्टिकको पाल राखी १ कक्षा पढ्नु परेको थियो । म १ कक्षामा नै हुँदा मेरो हजुरबुवा सत्यरत्न शाक्यको मृत्युशोक व्यहोर्नुपरेको थियो । तत्पश्चात् नै मृत्युको परिभाषा पढेर हैन परेर जानेको थिएँ । 

 

कक्षा १ देखि कक्षा ७ सम्म मैले एउटै विद्यालयमा अध्ययन गरें । कक्षा २ देखि ७ सम्म मैले कक्षा १ मा जस्तो असुविधायुक्त कक्षा पाएको थिइनं । कक्षा २ देखि ५ सम्म आफैलाई अपरिपक्व भनेर नै भन्नेछु किनभने त्यस समय मैले शिक्षाको महत्त्व बुझेको थिइनं, हुन त त्यो समय को नै परिपक्व होला र ? कक्षा १ देखि ७ सम्मको सप्तवर्षीय अनुभव एक दशक जीवनको कठोर अनुभव थियो । कक्षा १ देखि ७ सम्ममा ‘अनिवार्य अङ्ग्रेजी’ मात्र अङ्ग्रेजी भाषाको विषय हुन्थ्यो, अरु सबै नेपाली माध्यममा पढेको थिएँ । कक्षा ५ र ६ मा अङ्ग्रेजी विषय भएतापनि शिक्षकको अनुपस्थितिको कारण पढाइ नै भएन र अन्य विषयमा पनि शिक्षक नआउने र आए पनि नपढाउने जस्ता प्रवृत्तिले राम्रोसित पढ्नै पाइनं । कक्षा ६ र ७ मा शिक्षाको महत्त्व अवगत भएको थियो । तत्पश्चात् पाठ्यक्रमको शिक्षासँगै नयाँनयाँ किताबहरु किनी पढ्न थालें । रामदेव पाण्डेले लेख्नुभएको बालमनोवैज्ञानिक कृति ‘हजुरआमाको लौरो’ मैले बच्चाबेलामा पढेको मात्र थिएँ, बालमनोवैज्ञानिक कृति भनेर पछि मात्र परिभाषित गर्न सक्षम भएको थिएँ । शिक्षाको महत्त्व धेरै छ भनेर पाठ्यक्रमका विषयहरु निकै घोट्टिन्थे र परीक्षामा उतारी मस्तिष्कलाई शान्त पार्थे अनि शैक्षिक महत्ता सार्थक पारेको प्रतीत हुन्थें जुन कुरा अहिले सम्झँदा पनि हाँस्न मन लाग्छ ।

 

विद्यालयीय पर्यावरण जस्तासुकै भए पनि मसित ज्ञानको असाधारण क्षुधा थियो । बुवाले खाजा खानुका लागि दिनुहुने पैसामा रु. १० पत्रिका किन्थे र बाँकी पैसा भोली अर्को पत्रिका किन्नका लागि राख्थें । मसँग खाद्यान्न क्षुधाभन्दा शैक्षिक क्षुधा ज्यादै थियो । दिउँसो भोकै रहेर सीधै राति खाँदा मलाई फरक पर्दैनथ्यो । 

 

कक्षा ७ बाट ८ कक्षामा म डियरवाक सिफल स्कुल आएँ । आरम्भमा त अङ्ग्रेजी माध्यमबाट पढ्नु पर्दा धेरै सङ्घर्ष गर्नुपरेको थियो । अङ्ग्रेजी, गणित, विज्ञान, कोडिङ जस्तो विषयमा धेरै रुनुपरेको थियो तर पारिवारिक आश्वासन र वैयक्तिक परिपक्वताले सकभर आफूलाई सम्हाले । ८ कक्षामा आधारभूत अङ्ग्रेजी सुधारमा धेरै प्रयत्न गरें । ९ कक्षामा निकै सहज र नैसर्गिक बने सबै विषयहरु । ८ कक्षाको तुलनामा ९ मा त्यत्ति रुनु परेन र १० कक्षामा हृदय कमजोर नबनाउने अङगीकार गरेको छु । चुनौतिका साथै थुप्रै अवसर पनि पाएँ । 

 

समग्रमा भन्नुपर्दा एक दशकको मेरो अनुभूति निकै सङ्घर्षमय रह्यो तर त्यही सङ्घर्षमा पनि रोदनानन्द थियो र अभावानुभूतिको मज्जा लुप्त थियो । यो एक दशकमा प्राप्त संविद् नै आउँदो दशकको मूलाधार बन्ने छ । मलाई सङ्घर्ष गर्न, प्रलयहरुको परिभाषा सिकाउन एवम् परिपक्व बनाउन यही एक दशकको महत्त्वपूर्ण भूमिका रहेको छ । यो मेरो अनुभव सङ्घर्ष, बोध र पीडाको समभुज त्रिकोणात्मक त्रिवेणी हो ।

Mischievous Diary: The Book and The Shook

Have you ever read the series, “Diary of a Wimpy Kid”? I have. I don’t know what the author was thinking while writing this book but he sure is keeping all of us on the hook. The book is cool. It has kept me in a situation where I have completed all books released till now. It’s cool and all but the boy in that book is testing my patience. 

   

Rowley whom he calls best friend is nothing but just a piece of tool to use and throw for him. But Rowley is too innocent for me to not try to become a titan and crush Greg (the main character). Well nonetheless, it’s a pretty decent diary about his experience and I have nothing to say about his life, because trouble follows him like a tail. 

 

Well well, I suggest we leave this wimpy kid to his own and move on right now. However, I have to say that Greg had quite an unforgettable life. I sometimes wonder if I have something unforgettable in my life. To be thinking, many things are unforgettable, though most of them are something I would like to forget. 

  

Like come on, who likes to remember the time they squished a cockroach by their feet without even knowing… But hey it was not like I wanted to, I didn’t even realise I had stepped on a cockroach until I turned the lights on. I was just going to my room to get some stuff when I realised I had stepped on something gooey. When I turned the light on, I felt my life flash back before my eyes before dashing to the bathroom to purify myself. 

 

I swear whoever thought of dropping off these cockroaches onto this earth is pure evil. I get it that they serve a role in the ecosystem, but really.. They could’ve dropped off any other insect rather than this. 

 

Now then.. I do not wish to further elaborate on this cockroach situation but you see now that I think more about it, I am now thinking, just what kind of “positive” unforgettable event has passed till now for me… 

 

I mean, there has been a lot happening in my tiny life till now. But I don’t know what to put here.

 

However, every day, something special happens. But if I try to dig up my memory I can date back to when I was in kindergarten. Ah yes, that day was one of the most memorable days when I think about it now, but it was painful at the time. 

 

So, gathering it all from the first. I had two close friends, let's call them umm... Eggroll and Burger. For now, that is. Now, I was obsessed with cartoons such as Ninja Hattori, Power Ranger and ninja stuff at that time, so I would go around forming a group with Egg Roll and Burger and act as if I were teaching them some forbidden ninja technique and they would act as I would say although I had to bargain with chocolates for them to do such. 

 

So, unlike any other day, we three were playing in the playground while I was “teaching” them ninja tricks when my brain got this great idea of teaching them how to climb the tree. I don’t exactly remember what they said or acted but I do remember myself trying to climb the tree behind me. I don’t remember what kind of tree it was but it was tall, a bit bent down and didn’t have many leaves/dry. 

 

Just as I climbed like what? After 3 steps I slipped. The next thing I remember, teachers checked my back skin which was completely cut when I fell and I was dragged by the tree’s drg trunk. I wasn’t crying… definitely… Ok fine I was. But don’t worry it didn’t keep me from pulling stunts. 

 

But let me tell you something, I do not regret anything because it was fun.
