मानिसहरू काम गर्छन्

हावा नगएसम्म गतिहीन

 

निराशा, क्रोधले मानव मनमा बाढी आउँछ

मकैले यी भावनाहरू महसुस गर्न सक्दैनन्

तिनीहरू अँध्यारो आकाशको अनुहारमा अग्लो उभिन्छन्

तिनीहरूका पातहरू आफूलाई जोगाउने प्रयासमा फड्फडिरहेका छन् ।

 

मानिस दबाबमा पर्न सक्छ

घृणा र एक्लो महसुस

मकैको बोट अग्लो हुन्छ । 

घृणाको संसारमा नाच्दै

 

घृणाको संसारमा नाच्ने मकै

तिनीहरूले आनन्द ल्याउँछन्, समृद्धि

तिनीहरूले जीवनको तनावको कुनै सङ्केत देखाउँदैनन्

तिनीहरू बाँच्न पाउँदा खुसी छन् ।

 

फड्फड् गर्दै  र नाच्दै

तिनीहरूका पातहरूको आराममा न्यानो बेरिएको

तिनीहरू पृथ्वीको तालमा नाच्छन्

मेरो देश नेपाल एउटा सुन्दर, शान्त र सानो राष्ट्र । मेरो देश प्रकृतिले भरिपूर्ण छ । त्यस्तै म यो देशको असल नागरिक । मैले आफ्नो देशलाई धेरै थरीको क्षेत्रमा योगदान दिन सक्छु । म मेरो देशको नाम चर्चित धेरै थरीका काम गर्न सक्छु ।पहिले, म राम्ररी पढेर मेरो र मेरो देशको विकास गर्न सक्छु । मैले मेरो देशको विकास गर्नको लागि महत्त्वपूर्ण योगदान दिनुपर्छ । 

मैले राम्ररी  मिहिनेत गरेर मैले आफ्नो देशमा विदेशबाट रोजगार  मानिसहरूलाई स्वदेशमा बाेलाएर  ती मानिसहरूलाई रोजगारीको अवसर दिन्छु । यी कामहरू म पढेर, देशमा गर्न चहान्छु । 

दोस्रो, म एउटा राजनीतिज्ञ भएँ भने म देशको विकास गर्छु । राजनीतिज्ञको काम नै देशको विकास गर्नु हो । तर त्यो काम पनि कुन कुन क्षेत्रमा गर्ने भन्ने सोचेर गर्नुपर्छ । पहिले त म  मेरो देशमा राम्राे बाटोको व्यवस्था गर्थेँ । म बाटाहरूकाे पुननिर्माण गर्थेँ । मैले पाउँने पैसाजति जति सबै मबाटाेमा लगानी गर्थेँ । अहिलेका राजनीतिज्ञहरू हाम्रा जन प्रतिनिधिहरूकाे त कुरा नै के भयाे र ! उनीहरू त आधाभन्दा कम पैसा मात्र यस्ता विकास निर्माणका काममा लगाउँछन् । यस्ताे काम एकदमै गलत हाे । सरकारले विकास निर्माणका लागि छुट्याएकाे रकम सदुपयाेग हुन नसक्दा देशमा प्रत्येक वर्ष बेरुजु दर बढ्दाे ५ ।  बाटोको व्यवस्था राम्राे गरिसकेपछि म शिक्षाको व्यवस्था गर्थेँ । पारिवारिक समस्याको कारण, घरको आर्थिक स्थिति कमजाेर भएका विद्यार्थीहरूलाई म छात्रवृत्ति प्रदान गर्थेँ । म मेरो देशका जुन जुन राम्रा राम्रा पर्यटकीय स्थलहरू छन् ती स्थलहरूकाे राम्राे विकास र विस्तार गर्थेँ । तेस्रो म मेरो देशको लागि क्रिकेट खेल्थेँ भने म त्यसमा पनि धेरै नयाँ याेजना ल्याउँथे । म अहिलेको नेपाल क्रिकेट टिमको आवस्थालाई एकदम राम्रो बनाउने प्रयास गर्थेँ । खेलाडीहरूलाई धेरै अभ्यास गराउँथे । उनीहरूकाे सेवासुविधा बढाउँथे । क्रिकेटको सबै ढाँचामा लाग्ने प्रयास गर्थे । टि - २० विश्वकपमा जित हासिल गर्न  योग्य बनाउने प्रयास गर्थेँ । म धेरै टुर्नामेन्टहरू जितेर मेरो देशको नाम उच्च राख्थेँ । म मेरो देशलाई आजसम्म नगएको टुर्नामेन्ट टेस्टमा पनि लगेर टेस्टको विश्वकप जित्ने योग्य बनाउन चाहन्छु । अहिले हाम्रो देशको क्रिकेट टिमलाई अरू देशको क्रिकेट टिमले त्यति महत्त्व दिँदैनन् । म त्यहाँ पुगेर हाम्रो देशको संसारभर चम्काउन चाहन्छु । 

अन्तिममा, म एउटा शिक्षक हुन्थे भने म विद्यार्थीहरूलाई राम्ररी पढाउँथे म उनीहरूलाई सजिलो तरिकाले  सबै कुराहरू सम्झाउँथे । उनीहरूलाई राम्रो र नराम्रो भन्ने कुरा केके हुन् भन्ने कुरा सिकाउँथे र बुझाउँथे पनि । म उनीहरूलाई भविष्यमा एकदम असल व्यक्ति बन्ने तरिकाले पढाउँथे । म उनीहरूलाई देशको मूल कानुनको बारेमा बताउँथे । म उनीहरूलाई हाम्रो देशको अहिलेको सामाजिक सञ्जालले मानिसमा फैलिएकाे विकृतिबारे पनि सचेत बनाउँथे । म यस्तै थुप्रै राम्रा कुराहरू देशकाे लागि गर्न चाहन्छु । मैले देशको लागि गर्ने सक्ने योगदान यिनै हुन् । म देशको विकास र देशलाई सुधार्नको लागि यी कामहरू गर्न चाहन्छु ।

How Have Us Humans Changed Over the Years?

Over the past few centuries us humans have undergone a tremendous transformation. Across cultural, technological, social and ethical grounds. With these  tremendous transformations we have also made various achievements in different sectors. With the remarkable achievements there are also great changes that came with it. Whether it would be the change in behavior or the change in the information in textbooks or maybe the changes in the life or ordinary people. People nowadays talk about how the Covid pandemic has changed our lives. Covid pandemic has made unprecedented impacts on human civilization but at the same time it has also made us realize how we have evolved over the past centuries. Other than the Covid pandemic there have been many other instances where our human civilization has to endure changes and adapt to our environment.

 

Firstly talking about cultural changes, there have been various points in history where our cultural structures have changed. Whether it would be the two World Wars or the great depression. It has heavily forced changes in our society. These events have shaped our human civilization and increased globalization along with the development and communication.  In the 19th century we had the Spanish Flu and in the 21th century we had the Covid pandemic. During the Spanish Flu of any viral outbreak in the19th century there were no modern technological devices and this is a major factor. During the Covid 19 pandemic there was a significant growth in the usage of social media. Even after the pandemic social media has been the same. Using social media people found new ways to communicate or express themselves online.

 

Talking about technological changes or advancements, this topic needs no introduction. This is a very well known topic. We all know the differences between the technological advancements in or prior to the 19th century and the 21th century. Back then humans had managed to land on the moon, improve industrialization and also made various inventions but new people have developed other things like the internet, smartphones or accessibility to information etc. Technological advancements have revolutionized our lives making it easier and simpler./ At one time we had to visit a library to get extra information but now we can just get any information we want at the click of a button. It is that easy and this is just one example we can find many other examples like this in history. 

 

Social and ethical changes are also taking shape. Matter of fact there are still various social changes happening around us. Social and ethical changes are the only processes that will keep evolving with us humans. It existed during the beginning of the human race and it will end with the destruction of the human race. In the past people lived in a society where there were only 2 genders but now that has changed and people believed that they can openly change their gender, pronunciation and identification. This is a change brought with the development of socialism. This is the effect of rapid globalization But it is not a wrong thing. People have their own beliefs and our society just accepts it.

 

In conclusion, humans are animals. We are never in the same state. We might be happy or sad to a certain extent but the same level of happiness, sadness or any other emotion can never be felt again. We can never be the same and our lives and also in the state of changing. Whether it would be biologically, socially, ethically, technologically or culturally.

The Culture of Apologies in Sweden and China

Apologies are what we call an expression of many emotions, regret, sorrow, grief, hindsight etc.“I'm sorry” seems like a harmless and effective phrase to blurt out everyone you caused inconvenience or trouble but qualified researchers are actually doing reports on just this broad topic. Their findings, which are quite surprising, actually states that people with different cultures ethnic backgrounds have different views on apologies. Cultures and mannerisms are known to be different all across the world and apologies are no exception. An apology is defined as a regretful acknowledgement of one’s offense or failure, but that is just the textbook definition, as we learned from the report discussed previously in English; The West have different definitions to apologies than the East. Since the report proved that the striking differences are between the East and the West, I will be discussing the differences in apologies between the Swedish and the Chinese.

 

When it comes to the Chinese, or if speaking on a, studies have shown that, saying sorry is a pretty common practice and they apologize to show respect, or express grief. Apologies are quite common and used almost everyday, there is a chart for those too. For example; there is a certain word for sorry in Chinese which is only used when a dish is broken by accident. Using grammatically correct words is also seen as noble in China. Older people tend to get offended when youngsters use crude apologies to them. People apologize on many occasions in China. It’s customary to apologize to friends and relatives if leaving a place or leaving to go to the restroom. So, we can conclude that the Chinese take apologies very seriously and one’s way of apologizing also determines themselves in the eyes of others .

 

An article submitted by Business News Daily summarizes the cultural differences in apologies in Sweden from the rest of the world very well. In Sweden, punctuality is considered the most important virtue to have and in most cases it is probably the only time you’ll apologize in a day. Swedish people also appreciate honesty, so being frank about your wrongdoings is also greatly smiled upon in Sweden. Swedish people dont waste their time with lengthy apologies and reasons and instead just want you to acknowledge that you’re wrong and go on with your day. They believe that wasting your own and other’s time with meaningless rambling, defending yourself from a crime which is not even serious is useless.

 

Though, the idea of apologizing remains the same, the way of executing it and when we execute it is different. In China, apologies are used as words that show respect and understanding. Being a cultural country, the apologies are important and are focused on a lot. Even though the culture of using different apologies for different scenarios is wearing out, saying the right thing at the right time is still considered useful in China.

While in Sweden, apologies are sort of abbreviated and shortened. Apologizing does not hurt anyone, not apologizing can. An example to really tell the difference between the apologies in China and Sweden. If a friend informs a Chinese person of a bad thing that’s coming his/her way. Their first reaction would be to say sorry and see if there’s anything they can do to help but a Swedish person informed of the same thing would first admit that it’s bad and offer help. They don’t think an apology is necessary.

Psychological experiments are done with two possible outcomes, they can either turn out to be good or they can either turn out to be bad, throughout the years there have been many psychological experiments conducted and these psychological experiments have led to two outcomes every time, let's take a look at some of the  experiments done. The first experiment is the radio experiment where the scientist of uk had attached radio  wires to the brain of the volunteers, from which the volunteers could take a guess at the picture and they would get it right, this was a successful experiment until after a week the volunteers claimed that they had faced severe anxiety and depression, and later the brain had fried up.

There are some experiments which benefited the research as well, and the most famous one was, Stanford Prison experiment, where the prisoners were given a role, and this experiment was done to understand human nature and they had concluded that any human in power would have a change in behavior. The psychological experiments are not  done just to adults, they were also done to babies and animals. This experiment showed us human manipulation, they showed us that  just with the sound of the food, they could make the dogs drool and make the babies alert. These experiments were the positive experiments which were used for human research. These experiments have a huge impact on human beings, most of the experiments done have caused harm toward the mental health of the individual. Psychology and mental health are interlinked within each other. That's why the top organizations and the scientists must not only think about the profits that they get, but they should also consider what harms it could bring for someone's life while doing so .

विश्व वातावरण दिवस जुन ५ मा मनाइन्छ । विश्व वातावरण दिवस वातावरण र वातावरणीय समस्याहरूसँग सम्बन्धित चेतना जगाउने विश्वव्यापी मञ्च हो । विश्व वातावरण दिवस हाम्रो वरपर भइरहेको वा वातावरणमा नकारात्मक र सकारात्मक प्रभाव पार्ने चेतना जगाउन मनाइन्छ । विश्वव्यापी चेतना जगाउन र ग्रह र वातावरणको संरक्षण र संरक्षणलाई प्रोत्साहित गर्न पनि यो मनाइन्छ । विश्व वातावरण दिवसले मुख्यतया जलवायु परिवर्तन, प्रदूषण, र दिगो विकास जस्ता कार्यहरू हाइलाइट गर्दछ । आगामी पुस्तालाई दिगो र सुरक्षित भविष्य प्रदान गर्ने उद्देश्यले विश्व वातावरण दिवस मनाइन्छ ।

वातावरण भनेको मूलतया हाम्रो वरपरको वातावरण हो, चाहे त्यो प्रदूषित होस् वा सबै हरियो होस् भन्ने बुझिन्छ। विज्ञानका अनुसार पृथ्वी करिब ४ अर्ब ४३ करोड वर्षदेखि रहेको छ र यस अवधिमा हाम्रो पृथ्वीले धेरै परिवर्तनहरू पार गरेको छ । विशेष गरी हाम्रो वातावरणसँग सम्बन्धित परिवर्तनहरू हाम्रो पृथ्वी धेरै समय र यस अवधिमा सामूहिक विलुप्त हुँदै गएको छ । यी सामूहिक विलुप्त धेरै प्राकृतिक प्रकोपहरू भए जसले हाम्रो वातावरणलाई असर गर्‍यो । जस्तै ज्वालामुखी विस्फोट जुन विश्वभर भएको थियो, त्यस समयमा वातावरण धुवाँ र बाफले भरिएको थियो । यी विलुप्तहरू लाखौँ वर्ष पहिले भएका थिए । टेक्नोलोजीहरू अहिले धेरै उन्नत रूपमा बढेका छन्, र हामी भविष्यमा डुब्ने क्रममा, प्रविधिसँग सम्बन्धित क्षेत्रमा आउँदा रोकिने सङ्केत देखिरहेका छैनन् ।  हामी भन्न सक्छौँ कि धेरै प्रविधिहरू सिर्जना गर्न वा त्यो क्षेत्रमा बढ्दै जाँदा वातावरणलाई झन् बिगार्न सक्छ, तर यसको नकारात्मक पक्ष मात्रै हेर्नुको कुनै अर्थ छैन, यदि हामीले यसका सकारात्मक पक्षलाई हेर्छौं भने, हामी देख्न सक्छौँ कि केही प्रविधिहरू । हामीले सिर्जना गरेको वातावरणको दिगोपनको लागि प्रयोग गरिएको हो । प्राकृतिक प्रकोपहरू पनि हाम्रो वातावरणलाई असर गर्ने चीजहरू हुन् । जस्तैः सुनामी, तिनीहरू वातावरण विनाशको लागि जापान जस्ता ठाउँहरूमा मुख्य कारणहरू मध्ये एक हुन् । प्राविधिक क्षेत्रले प्राकृतिक प्रकोपलाई रोक्न, वातावरणलाई अझ सुरक्षित बनाउनुका साथै दिगोपनको दर पनि बढाएको छ । 

 

प्रत्येक वर्ष, एक फरक राष्ट्रले विश्व वातावरण दिवसको आयोजना गर्दछ, जसले विशेष विषयवस्तुका साथ दबाब वातावरणीय मुद्दाहरूलाई केन्द्रित गर्दछ । जलवायु परिवर्तन, जैविक विविधताको हानि, र प्लास्टिक प्रदूषण हालैका विषयहरू भएका छन्। प्रत्येक वर्ष, एक फरक राष्ट्रले विश्व वातावरण दिवसको आयोजना गर्दछ, जसले विशेष विषयवस्तुका साथ दबाबपूर्ण वातावरणीय समस्याहरूलाई हाइलाइट गर्दछ । जलवायु परिवर्तन, जैविक विविधताको हानि र प्लास्टिक प्रदूषण हालैका विषयहरू हुन् । यस दिनका कार्यक्रमहरूमा नीति वकालत र शैक्षिक कार्यशालाहरूदेखि रूख रोपण र सरसफाइ अभियानहरू सम्मका सबै कुराहरू समावेश छन्। सँगै, सरकारहरू, व्यवसायहरू, र मानिसहरूले वातावरणीय भण्डारणमा आफ्नो समर्पण देखाउँछन् । यस दिनको उद्देश्य आगामी पुस्ताका लागि वातावरण संरक्षण गर्ने हाम्रो साझा दायित्वको सम्झनाको रूपमा सेवा गर्नु हो। प्राकृतिक संसारलाई सम्मान गर्नुको साथै, विश्व वातावरण दिवसले वातावरणीय समस्याहरू समाधान गर्न अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय सहयोगलाई बढावा दिन्छ । यसले सबैका लागि स्वस्थ वातावरणकोसुनिश्चितता गर्ने दिगो अभ्यास र सक्रिय उपायहरूलाई समर्थन गरेर विश्वलाई हरियाली र थप लचिलो बनाउन खोज्छ।

In the 21st century stress and anxiety are very common and finding a solution to this problem is a necessity. Most prominently people at the age group of 13 to 34 most often face problems related to mental health. Some do it because they compare themselves to others and some because they have family or financial problems. Family problems could be helped by talking with the family members but the other two problems are very hard to fight against. 

 

An important problem is financial problems. 1 in 3 households has financial problems. Many are unemployed or at some places due to over inflation the business is not working. The only way for countering this problem would be to open more business and maintain a stable politic in our country, add more opportunities and attract foreigners to invest in nepal. This would help to make people happier and depression rates would drastically decrease. 


The problem of comparing each other could be helped by not comparing ourselves to others. The lives we see in social media and the so-called ‘perfect life’ we see are not even real so we should not compare ourselves with others, we are not the same. But if someone has already got mental problems like depression and anxiety then therapy and medication can help overcome that but there is an easier and healthier way for this problem: exercising. Beyond physical benefits exercise also provides some mental benefits, offering an accessible means of managing depression and anxiety.  

   

Exercise triggers the release of endorphin, a neurotransmitter known as (feel-good) chemical. These chemicals react with the receptor of the brain and reduce feelings of pain and trigger positive feelings as the effect of morphine. This also makes the mood better and reduces the symptoms of depression. Physical activity also works as an agent for stress relief. Engaging in exercise stimulates the production of dopamine that plays a huge role for controlling mood. Additionally, exercising reduces stress hormones and relaxes the state of mind. Exercise not only helps to build muscles it also helps to build new neurons cells and brain cells in our brain. The study has shown that with the help of exercise new brain cells that are capable of storing huge amounts of memory are also formed. Improving brain health helps to fight against mental disorders as well. With the help of group exercises, group yoga in school and classes helps the student to bond with their friends and fight against the social anxiety.

 

Hence, we should prioritize exercise for the overall physical and mental health benefits. I do not advocate that exercising is the only solution, however, it is a small step on the right way.

सपना र मित्रताको कथा

नेपालको एउटा सानो गाउँमा अर्जुन नाम गरेको केटा थियो । नेपालको पहाडमा बसेको एउटा विचित्र गाउँमा हुर्केकाे अर्जुन ज्ञानको तिर्खा र अन्वेषणको प्रेमका साथ जिज्ञासु र साहसी जवान केटा थियाे ।  जसलाई सानै उमेरमा पनि नयाँ कुरा सिक्ने र खोज्ने जोस थियो । उसले आफ्ना साथीहरूसँग बिताएको समयको कदर  गर्थ्यो, सँगै रमाउँदा र खेल्दा आएको आनन्द र रचनात्मकताको आनन्द लिन्थ्यो।

 

अर्जुनको दिन सधैँ सन्तुष्टिको अनुभूतिका साथ सुरु हुन्थ्यो किनकि उसले सिक्ने र व्यक्तित्व विकासका लागि अवसरहरू खोजेको थियो । अन्य विद्यार्थीहरू जस्तै चुनौती र अवरोधहरूको सामना गरेर असफलताबाट निराश हुन अस्वीकार गर्थ्याे,  बरू, उसले अटल दृढताका साथ अडिग रहेर, आफ्नो प्रगति गर्ने क्षमतामा विश्वस्त बढाउँदै लग्थ्याे । उसले जीवनका साधारण आनन्दहरूमा अपार आनन्द फेला पार्यो, विशेष गरी ऊ आफ्ना साथीहरू सँग घुम्ने खेल्ने आदि जस्ता रोमाञ्चक काम गर्थ्यो । ऊ घण्टौँ खेल्न र जीवनभरका सम्झनाहरू सिर्जना गर्न बिताउँथ्याे । 

एकदिन, अर्जुन र उसका साथीहरू आफ्ना आकाङक्षाहरू, डरहरू र सङ्घर्षहरू साझा गर्न एउटा ठुलो  रूखमुनि एकसाथ आए । एकअर्कालाई बुझेर तिनीहरूले साझा अनुभवहरूमा सान्त्वना पाए र मित्रताको बलियो बन्धन बनाए । यसले उनीहरूलाई एकअर्कालाई विश्वास गर्न प्रोत्साहन र मित्रता वृद्धिको वातावरण सिर्जना भयाे  । तिनीहरूको भित्री विचार र भावनाहरूको यो कमजोर साझेदारीको माध्यमबाट, तिनीहरूले जडान र समझना को गहिरो भावना पत्ता लगाए । मित्रताको यो नयाँ भेलाले पारस्परिक सहयोग र प्रोत्साहनको आधारको रूपमा काम गर्‍यो । व्यक्तिगत विकास र सशक्तीकरणको वातावरणलाई तिनीहरूको कडा विश्वासी समूह भित्र बढाउँदै सङ्घर्ष गर्ने निधो गरे । सधैँ एकअर्कालाई मद्दत गर्ने र राम्रो मानिसहरू बनी आफ्नो गाउँ ठाउँलाई विकासतर्फ लैजाने योजना बनाई सबै आफ्नो दैनिक कामतर्फ संलग्न हुन थाले । 

 

अर्जुन र उसका साथीहरूकाे सहयाेगले गाउँमा खानेपानीकाे समस्या समाधान भयाे । धेरै समयदेखि पानीकाे हाहाकार भएका गाउँलेहरू उनीहरूकाे सामाजिक कार्यबाट खुसी भए । सकारात्मक साेच विचार र सामूहिक कार्यबाट गाउँ, समाज र सिङ्गाे देश नै विकास हुनसक्छ भन्ने कुरा उनीहरूले पनि सिके ।
