- Bipana Shrestha - 24017, Grad ... 09 September, 2022

- Ambira Pradhan - 24009, Grade ... 07 September, 2022

Doctor Strange in the multiverse of madness
- Aashutosh Shrestha - 23004, G ... 07 September, 2022

Doctor Strange in the multiverse of madness is a movie based in marvel comics. It was directed by Sam Raimi and was released on May 6, 2022. It is a sequel to Dr. Strange which was released on October 20, 2016. It was produced by Kevin Feige.
It was one of the most awaited movies by the marvel fans. They had expected a lot with this movie. It continued the story of Dr. Strange and Wanda Maximoff after their latest movies and series. In this movie Doctor Strange teams up with a mysterious teenage girl from his dreams who can travel across multiverses, to battle multiple threats, including other-universe versions of himself, which threaten to wipe out millions across the multiverse. They seek help from Wanda the Scarlet Witch, Wong and others. This movie has both positive and negative reactions. Some haters say that after the hype they created for the movie they were left with a mess that is just CGI blobs, some light shows and some boring dialogues. Knowing the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), it is essential for understanding all that happens because allusions to Marvel TV shows like "WandaVision" and the "Avengers" movies are made repeatedly.
According to online reviews there are a lot of CGI-based action to watch, but for a while it doesn't seem like the movie is something everyone should see unless they are die-hard Marvel fans. It is difficult to understand why it was not merely a television series on Disney Plus given that it builds off the events of WandaVision and the What If television series on Disney. The movie does, however, gradually start to get stranger, sillier, more emotional, and more imaginative, also featuring more absurd gags and horrific shocks. In other words, it becomes obvious that Sam Raimi is the director. Personally, I feel that there were some characters missing in this movie. They could have added a lot through the concept of multiverse. And it felt like they nerfed Dr. Strange’s powers compared to infinity war. One of the reasons  I was excited to watch this movie was because of the fight scene between Dr. Strange and Thanos. But I couldn’t witness another scene like that. Overall  this movie was fine but could have been better if had gone beyond the limitation and established what Marvel are supposed to be.

COLLEEN HOOVER BOOKS - PEAK OF ROMANCE LITERATURE?
- Anushka Basnet - 24011, Grade ... 06 September, 2022

Colleen Hoover is an author known for her books written in the romance genre. She is exceptionally popular among young adults and teens. Her popularity is mostly seen in the famous social media app TikTok. Her book “IT ENDS WITH US '' was a huge hit. Personally, I was very intrigued with the hype surrounding Colleen Hoover back. Hearing her name and seeing her books in every bookstore I went and all over my social media really grabbed my interest. I felt the need to read her books. It was as if her books were a must read.  However popular she and her books might be, her works were not worth the hype in my opinion. I read ‘It ends with us’ last year right when it was surfacing the internet with great deal of popularity. The book talked about domestic abuse, jealousy and mental illnesses as the themes with romance as the main genre. The points of discussions in the book were great but everything else was average for me. It was disappointing to be honest but overall it was an okay-ish read. It was overhyped, yes, but it still was a good read.
Then I read another of her works “Ugly Love”. it was also very much in hype. I didnt have any great expectations from the book as i was already disappointed by her previous work. But i got disappointed even with low expectations.  Reading the book, I noticed some very disturbing plots. The male lead once used to be in love with his step sister and had a kid with her. That single line says a lot about the book. There were also many confusing paragraphs. There was overuse of NSFW content and unwanted arrogance in male lead. I can easily add this book to my least favorite books of all times.
One thing I noticed in Hoover’s books was that she almost always included the pregnancy trope, the male lead treating the female lead like garbage then having a mysterious overnight personality upgrade and then a sudden happy ever after ending. The anger issues and unwanted jealousy with undiagnosed bipolar in male leads in Colleen Hoover books are always present.
I personally like mystery thrillers alot and prefer it over romance books. So i got another book recommendation “Verity”. Another of Colleen Hoovers’ books. I was suggested this by my friend. I read some reviews online and some people thought it was a great thriller book. Some said it was far better than her other works. So i gave it a try. There were many plot holes and honestly I felt like reading it was a waste of my time.
Personally I don't think Colleen Hoover’s books are worth reading. They have hidden misogyny and many confusing sentences. I would not recommend her books to anyone. They are not the peak of romance literature. This is nothing against Colleen Hoover or anyone who enjoys her works. I personally would not be reading her books and would also not recommend it to anyone. Her writing consists of a lot of first person narration, which may be interesting to some but for me it reminds me of wattpad stories. I don't like her works and I don't discourage anyone from reading her works but for me I don't think I will ever read her works again.

- Sashwat Paudel - 23038, Grade ... 06 September, 2022

- Aaditya Sapkota - 23001, Grad ... 02 September, 2022

Are We Trapped?
- Siddhartha Pandey - 24056, Gr ... 02 September, 2022

In today’s modern time, do you think you are proceeding according to your own free will? Are you there, reading this article because you wished to?
If we take a good look around, all we see is people struggling and working day in and day out for money; the main asset that takes you to your start line of whatever you want to pursue. But people spend their entire lives just grinding to get hold of that asset and instead of stepping into the start line after they have earned enough, it is already time to step out of life itself. This cycle of the linear proceeding where people just come here, work hard, and leave, is quite sickening to look at. There are other variations where one may not have had to struggle, or it was an easy way to the start line, or they couldn’t even make it to the start line. But my question is, from when did it become normal to chase after money for your entire life, and completely forget about that start line that awaits?
People have their own interests, things that they are absolutely mesmerized by; things that they want to learn deeply about- things that they want to spend their entire lives with. One may want to become a dancer and keep indulging in any occupation related to it their entire lives. Another may want to become a researcher of human psychology and keep meeting new people and keep helping them as long as he can. Having taken birth into this world, every person has something they want to dedicate their lives to. But these days people don’t even discover that special thing of theirs, either they discard it way too soon without even giving it a chance, all because their “circumstance” doesn’t let them. “The world is a cruel place that doesn’t provide for everybody.” People make do with just that and then proceed to an immensely monotonous life of no meaning. Saying that it isn’t possible, saying there are other things I need to take care of, I have responsibilities; the most hilarious one I know is- “I don’t have time for my interests”, are some of the many ropes that people are tied to. I agree that these bindings are unavoidable in today’s age where survival itself has become hard for people that aren’t rich. Can you imagine? Humanity progressed from the very beginning so as to make survival easy and comfortable but here we are again, trapped in the pit that we dug ourselves.
If we take a recap of all of human existence, all we’ve done is build this cage where one has nothing to think about; just a bland life to circle around. But there are these rare people who say that earning money is easy and have reached the start line on time and are exploring and enjoying what lies beyond it. They’ve got out of the sick trap that holds everybody down. They are living. What about you?
