Doctor Strange in the multiverse of madness is a movie based in marvel comics. It was directed by Sam Raimi and was released on May 6, 2022. It is a sequel to Dr. Strange which was released on October 20, 2016. It was produced by Kevin Feige.
It was one of the most awaited movies by the marvel fans. They had expected a lot with this movie. It continued the story of Dr. Strange and Wanda Maximoff after their latest movies and series. In this movie Doctor Strange teams up with a mysterious teenage girl from his dreams who can travel across multiverses, to battle multiple threats, including other-universe versions of himself, which threaten to wipe out millions across the multiverse. They seek help from Wanda the Scarlet Witch, Wong and others. This movie has both positive and negative reactions. Some haters say that after the hype they created for the movie they were left with a mess that is just CGI blobs, some light shows and some boring dialogues. Knowing the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), it is essential for understanding all that happens because allusions to Marvel TV shows like "WandaVision" and the "Avengers" movies are made repeatedly.
According to online reviews there are a lot of CGI-based action to watch, but for a while it doesn't seem like the movie is something everyone should see unless they are die-hard Marvel fans. It is difficult to understand why it was not merely a television series on Disney Plus given that it builds off the events of WandaVision and the What If television series on Disney. The movie does, however, gradually start to get stranger, sillier, more emotional, and more imaginative, also featuring more absurd gags and horrific shocks. In other words, it becomes obvious that Sam Raimi is the director. Personally, I feel that there were some characters missing in this movie. They could have added a lot through the concept of multiverse. And it felt like they nerfed Dr. Strange’s powers compared to infinity war. One of the reasons  I was excited to watch this movie was because of the fight scene between Dr. Strange and Thanos. But I couldn’t witness another scene like that. Overall  this movie was fine but could have been better if had gone beyond the limitation and established what Marvel are supposed to be.
