नेपालको मुटु भनेर चिनिने काठमाडौँमा लगभग एक करोड जति मानिस बसोबास गर्दै आएका छन्, जुन नेपालको एक तिहाई जति जनसङ्ख्या हो । यहाँ स्वास्थ्य, सुपरमार्केटदेखि अन्य व्याक्तिगत आवश्यकताका विभिन्न सुविधाहरू हामीले यहाँँ पाउन सक्दछौँ तर खानेपानीको कुरा गर्ने हो भने सुरक्षित भन्नका लागि हामी निकै नै टाढा छौँ ।

खानेपानीमा विश्वको दोस्रो धनी देश भए तापनि यहाँ प्रशस्त खानेपानीको व्यवस्था गर्न दशकाैँअघि सुरु भएको मेलम्ची खानेपानी आयोजना जसले काठमाडौँको पुरै जनसङ्ख्यालाई पुग्ने खानेपानी सबैको घरमा पुर्‍याउने लक्ष्य राखेकाे थियाे, त्यो पनि पुरा हुन सकेकाे छैन । यो आयोजनाले दैनिक लगभग दुई करोड लिटर खानेपानी सबैकाे घर घरमा पुर्‍याउने लक्ष्य राखेकाे थियाे । सन् २०२० काे अन्त्यतिर आइसक्दा पनि काठमाडाैँ वासीले खानेपनी किनेर खानुपर्ने अवस्था यथावत् छ । यो काठमाडौंका मानिसहरूको दैनिकीको प्रमुख समस्या बनेको छ । काठमाडौंमा उपलब्ध पानीकाे लगभग असी प्रतिशत पानी खान लायक छैन किनभने यसमा भिभिन्न रासयनकाे मिसावट पाइएकाे छ जसकाे सेवन हाम्रो शरीरका लागि घातक हुन सक्छ ।

काठमाडौँका खुल्रा धारा, ढुङ्गेधारा, पानी तान्ने कल, इनार आदि खानेपानीका विभिन्न स्राेतमा सञ्चालन गरिएको परीक्षणमा इ-कोली नामक जीवाणु पाइएको थियो भने आइरन, मर्करी, अमोनिया आदिको मात्रा विश्व स्वास्थ्य सङ्गठनको मापदण्डभन्दा एकदमै धेरै पाइएको थियो । तीमध्ये पनि जमिनमुनिका पानीका स्राेतहरूमा भने ती रसायनहरूकाे मात्रा सबैभन्दा बढी पाइएको थियो । यसकाे कारण भनेको औद्याेगिक र घरेलु फोहोरहरूको राम्रो व्यवस्थापन नहुनु हो र यसले धेरै असर गर्ने भनेको एक पेट खानका लागि दिनरात काम गर्ने मनिसहरूलाई हो । त्यसकारण स्वच्छ खानेपानीकाे व्यवस्थाका लागि काठमाडाैँमा व्यवस्थित सहरीकरणकाे आवश्यकता छ भने हामी सबैको होसियारीको पनि जरुरत छ ।

Water is an inorganic, transparent, tasteless, colorless chemical substance, which is the main component of the earth. Its chemical formula is H2O. It is important to all forms of life, even though it is tasteless. Water has the important ability to dissolve many substances. Life is believed to originate from water. All plants and animals need water to survive. If there is no water we can’t survive on the earth.

Directly or indirectly water affects all things of the earth. Without it, there will be no vegetable, no land, no oxygen, and ultimately no life. If the drinkable water is finished it will be hard for living beings to survive on the Earth. Every part of our body contains water. Insufficiency of water will make us dehydrated, ultimately leading to death. We must drink water in a proper amount so we can run our brain optimally, it even helps us to digest our food, make us healthier, etc. To do our household activity we need water. We can generate electricity out of the water which helps us in the increment of the national treasure. So water has multiple purposes, human beings have to use it wisely by using their conscience.   

Water plays an important role in agriculture, climate, production of foods, and even creating independent scenarios. For agriculture, water is an important source because it helps us to keep the land fertile and as we know plants need water to grow. Due to plants and trees, we can get oxygen to live our life adequately. Even in the water, there is oxygen so that aquatic animals can breathe in water. Water also helps in climate change, due to the water cycle climate changes in different forms. As water vapor circulates through the atmosphere and in the ocean, it alerts the temperature and pressure. With the help of selling water, we can also earn money. In the deserted country, there is a lack of water which leads to the death of thousands of animals, species as worst as possible. So, where there is less amount of pf water people are not able to live there. If one can produce more hydro-electricity, they can lead their nation towards prosperity and can put themselves in the world economic forum as leading countries.

Human beings have been polluting the water, going against nature, but we forgot the reality, that water is important for our survival, we should always use it wisely so that generations will not die from lack of water and save this planet for our future generations. From now onwards, we should use water wisely and raise our voice against the excessive use of water and stop polluting water which is also one of the critical resources.

Racism is a concept in which society places individuals in superior or inferior positions on the basis of physical characteristics (such as skin color, hair type, facial form, and eye shape). Though many believe that race is determined by biology, it is now widely accepted that this classification system was in fact created for social and political reasons, and to oppress people on the basis of color that privileges white people.

According to the statics, In 2018, the number of African Americans in U.S. prisons was at its lowest in almost 30 years and yet, "the imprisonment rate of black males was 5.8 times that of white males, while the imprisonment rate of black females was 1.8 times the rate of white females," the Bureau of Justice Statistics said in a report in April. For every 100,000 black residents, 1,134 were in prison, compared to 218 for whites.

Racism in the United States has existed since the colonial era, and it involved laws, practices, and actions that discriminated against various groups or otherwise adversely impacted them based on their color and ethnicity, while most white Americans enjoyed the rights which were denied to members of other races and minority groups. Groups that were especially impacted by racism included immigrants from Europe, including the Irish and Italians, who were often subjected to racist exclusion and other forms of ethnicity-based discrimination in American society until the late 19th and early 20th centuries. According to the most recent census data, there are nearly 160 million more white people in America than there are black people. White people make up roughly 62 percent of the U.S. population. 

Fifty-six percent of black Americans, 33 percent of Hispanics, and 27 percent of Asian-Americans said they experienced racial discrimination when applying for jobs, according to a 2017 survey. Their self-reporting is backed by data. A 2017 meta-analysis of field experiments on racial discrimination found that for black Americans, discrimination has been static and has not changed since 1989. Whites still receive more than a third more callback for jobs. So by these sources, we can analyze that discrimination still exists in this era.

After reviewing all the factors, I believe that racism should be stopped. Racism has occurred for centuries, but there is still a chance to end it. I believe racism should end because if it continues, it can split the unity of the human race. It may also lead to more violence within the countries. Racism should be stopped because no race is superior. All races must be given equal opportunities, rights as other races.

नयाँ बच्चाको जन्म हुनु अगाडि अमेरिकामा आ-आफ्नो परिवार र नजिकका आफन्तहरूलाई बोलाई एक प्रकारको कार्यक्रम आयोजना गर्ने गरिन्छ । यस चलनलाई अमेरिकीहरूले ‘जेन्डर रिभिल पार्टी’ भनेर नाम दिएका छन्। पहिलो उल्लेखनीय ‘जेन्डर रिभिल पार्टी’ सन् २००८ मा ‘जेन्ना’ नाम गरेकी महिलाले आफ्नो बच्चाको लिङ्ग घोषणा गर्दा आयोजना गरिएको थियो । त्यस पार्टीमा जेन्नाले केक काट्दा भित्र निलो रङ्ग भेटियो भने छोरा र गुलाबी रङ्ग भेटियो भने छोरी हुन्छ भनेर रमाइलो खेल आयोजना गरेकी थिइन् ।

बिस्तारै यो चलन सम्पूर्ण अमेरिकाभर फैलन थाल्यो । यो चलन फैलन मात्र होइन, यसमा परिवर्तन पनि हुन थाल्यो । सुरु सुरुमा त केक काट्ने मात्र चलन थियो तर बिस्तारै निलो वा गुलाबी रङ्गको बेलुन उडाउने, रङ्ग उडाउने, छोरा भए निलो र छोरी भए गुलाबी रङ्गको लुगा किनिदिने जस्ता विभिन्न प्रकारका सृजनात्मक उपायहरू खोज्न थालियो तर यस्तो सृजनात्मकता जहिले राम्रो पनि मात्र हुँदैन । बरु झन अहिले आएर राम्रोभन्दा बढी हानिकारक घटनाहरू देखिरहेका छन् ।

हालसालै अमेरिकाको क्यालिफोर्नियामा जेन्डर रिभिल पार्टीको नाममा ७००० एकड क्षेत्रफलभरि आगो फैलिएको थियाे । बच्चाको लिङ्ग घोषणा गर्ने बेला धुवाँ उत्पादन गर्ने यन्त्रका कारण आगो बलेर जङ्गलदेखि मान्छेका घरहरूसम्म जलेका थिए । याे आगोका कारण क्यालिफोर्नियाका धेरै बासिन्दाहरू आफ्नो घर छोडेर जानुपर्ने अवस्था आइपुगेको थियाे । आगो निभाउनका लागि ५०० भन्दा बढी ‘फायर फाइटर’ र ४ वटा जति हेलिकप्टरको सहयोग लिनुपरेको थियो । यो आगोको कारण सयौँ मानिसको सम्पत्तिको नोक्सान भएको र एकजना ‘फायर फाइटर’ को ज्यानसमेत गुमेको खबर छ । 

थोरै रमाइलोका नाममा आफ्नो वरिपरिका कुराहरूमा ध्यान नदिएका कारणले अरूको त नोक्सान गराइहाले, सँगसँगै आफ्नो र जुन बच्चाका लागि यो दुर्घटनात्मक कार्यक्रम आयोजना गरिएको थियो, उसको समेत जीवन बरबाद भयो । यस घटनाबाट केही राम्रो कुरा नआए पनि आफ्नो वरिपरिको वातावरण हेरेर काम गर्नुपर्छ भन्ने कुरा सिक्न सकिन्छ ।

             We live in a world that is crazed by physical attraction and to boost this even more, we have media which has become one of the most important sources of discovering ourselves in front of the whole world. It has been very important for people to look perfect every time. There are many influencers, public figures that we admire look very perfect with no flaws. And to match their level, we buy different cosmetics items spending billions of dollars. We start carving a different image of ourselves rather than being who we are. It’s true that applying beauty products makes you perfect from your physical appearance but does it build your character and define who you are? The real truth is that we shouldn’t live our life according to others' perceptions. There is nothing wrong with us. We are perfect in the way we are. Who we are is more important than what others want us to be. And as soon as we understand this, we will realize that there is nothing wrong with us.

              By accepting ourselves, we overcome the issue regarding self-esteem and when we start loving ourselves the way we are every person starts loving us. As said by Lucille Ball “Love yourself first and everything else falls into line. You really have to love yourself to get anything done in this world.” By dealing with every obstacle confidently, we’ll be able to attain our goal through inner energy, and this time the world also accepts us the way we are and gives an opportunity for our success. We should not forget the fact that inner beauty defines our true happiness. A smile is more than enough for us to be beautiful, very beautiful.

                So, just try to find your inner happiness rather than craving for your physical appearance with certain beauty products. Learn to love yourself the way you are and you’ll see everything beautiful in the world.

नारी आजको युगकी सान हुन् । नारीले नै यस संसारलाई जन्माएकी हुन् । यही नारीले गर्दा नै यो संसारको निर्माण भएको हो । आजको युगमा शिक्षा मानिसको लागि अत्यन्तै आवश्यक हुन्छ । यसै शिक्षामा नारी शिक्षा पनि आवश्यक हुन्छ । अहिलेको युगमा नारी र पुरुषबिच विभेद नभए पनि हाम्रो देशमा भने अहिलेसम्म छोरालाई प्राथमिकता दिने चलन चलिरहेको छ ।

 नेपालजस्तो देशमा नारी शिक्षा अत्यन्तै आवश्यक हुन्छ । नेपालका गाउँघर अशिक्षित छन् । कतिपय गाउँलेहरू अन्धविश्वासको पछि लागी छोरीहरूलाई पढाउन रुचाउँदैनन् । यस्ता ठाउँमा छोरीहरूलाई प्राथमिकता दिने जस्ता भाव  देखिँदैनन् । छोराहरूले परिवारको वंश अगाडि बढाउँछन् भन्ने सोचाइले गर्दा कयौँ गाउँलेहरू छोरीहरूलाई हेला गर्दछन् । छोरी न जन्मियोस् भनेर पहिले धेरै मानिसहरूले गर्भपात गर्थे । छोरीहरूलाई पढाएर शिक्षित बनाउनुको सट्टा घरायसी कामकाज गर्ने  शिक्षा दिन्थे । कतिपय गाउँलेहरू छोरीहरूको बच्चामै विवाह गरेर अर्काको घरमा पठाइदिन्छन् । नेपालमा धेरै गाउँहरू भएकाले शिक्षा र चेतनाको अभाव बढी देखिन्छ । त्यसैले हामीले शिक्षाको लागि जनचेतना जगाउनुपर्छ । जुन घरमा आमा शिक्षित छैनन्, त्यहाँ शैक्षिक वातावरण बनाउन मुस्किल हुन्छ । बच्चाको भविष्य निर्माण गर्न मुस्किल हुन्छ । त्यस घरमा अशिक्षाको अन्धकार छाउँछ तर नारी शिक्षित भइन् भने देश तथा संसारभर एक उदाहरण प्रस्तुत गर्न सक्छिन् । 

अहिले कतिपय नारीहरूले आफ्ना नाम कमाउन सकेका छन् । नारीहरूले सबै स्थानमा काम गरेर पहिलेको समाजको सङ्कीर्ण सोचलाई बदल्ने प्रयास गरेका छन् । मलाला युसुफजाईको नै उदाहरण लिई नेपाली नारी पनि शिक्षाको महत्त्व सम्झन सक्छन् । मलालाले नारीहरूले शिक्षा पाउनु उनीहरूको अधिकार हो र यो अधिकारलाई कसैले खाेस्न सक्दैनन् भनेर आवाज उठाइन् । आधा शरीर नचल्ने पारिजात पनि नेपालमा एक उदाहरण बनिन् । उनले आत्मबल र  आत्मविश्वासले कलम चलाई पुरै नेपालभर एक चर्चित साहित्यकार बनेर नाम कमाइन् ।

आजको युगमा नारी पनि पुरुषभन्दा कम छैनन् । चुलाेचौकाे छाडेर  नारीहरू डाक्टर, इन्जिनियर बन्न सक्षम भएका छन् । यो संसारकै लागि गर्वकाे कुरा हो । गाउँघरतिर भने शिक्षाको उचित बन्दोबस्त नभए पनि धेरै गाउँलेहरूले सञ्चार तथा जनचेतनाको माध्यमबाट नारी शिक्षाको महत्त्व बुझ्न सकेका छन् । अझै चेतना जगाई हामीले नारी शिक्षाको आवश्यकता पुरै संसारभर फैलाउन सक्छौँ ।

We, humans, take productivity as a directly proportional quantity for being successful and accomplished. The Google search for the term “Productivity” had seen a great spike in late March of 2020 just as the world began to shut down. People started feeling that they were wasting their time, just spending time on YouTube, Netflix, or just taking long naps and wanted to get things done and learn new skills. 

To accomplish what you want, it shouldn’t be about doing your least favorite task first then doing the activities you enjoy doing. In fact, it’s exactly the opposite. Ever wondered why you have high motivation and enthusiasm to do the things that you like and not having the same zeal when you’re doing something that you don’t like. It’s because of the energy you get while doing the activities you like, they are dependent on Domaine, the hormone your brain releases when you are happy and enjoy doing it but you can’t trick your brain to release dopamine while not doing anything. What your goal, to get things done, should be starting with the activities that you love while you complete that task, dopamine is released and it makes you happy and motivated and while you are satisfied with the work you did, you should be going after the other things that don’t seem so appealing. 

Doing tasks that appeal to you first should be your goal to achieve what you don’t like. It basically sums up to, starting your day, doing the project or your assignments that you have avoided will make you avoid it again that day as well but starting out with the activities that you are interested in or something that gives you satisfaction after completing it, will make you look forward to completing the remaining tasks.

Google as of now is a potential threat to our privacy. Google, LLC is an American multinational technology company that specializes in Internet-related services and products, which include online advertising technologies, a search engine, cloud computing, software, and hardware. It is considered one of the Big Four technology companies, alongside Amazon, Apple, and Microsoft. It began in January 1996 as a research project by Larry Page and Sergey Brin when they were both PhD students at Stanford University in Stanford, California. Page and Brin originally nicknamed the new search engine "BackRub", because the system checked backlinks to estimate the importance of a site. But now it may be one of the greatest threats towards our privacy and data.

As Google is so much involved in our life that we can’t even think of a life without it. Now, Let me explain to those who are thinking it is not involved in my life. You use Android that’s by Google, you want to surf the internet you use google chrome, you want to search something you use google search, as of now, I am using google docs in google chrome listening to a podcast on youtube. Now if we have a private company so close to us it is sure to use that closeness to their advantage to get more fortune.

Have you noticed that the ads you see on Google, YouTube and even Facebook are so much optimized and most of the time it shows ads of your last google search or your last website visit? To these private companies which are free to use they need a stable flow of money and that is not possible as they are free so we are trading our information and lifestyle.

I got the information about my data and privacy which is not with me and is with a private company. I hate that so I now wanted to get off on my own where I am the master of my data and privacy and while thinking how I was going to achieve it I came up with the first move to use windows phone instead of android. Which is a little back in development in terms of hardware and software but is way developed in keeping my privacy and data with me. Next, I changed the browser which blocks all the cross-site trackers and other creepy stuff on the internet and is faster than google chrome. Because of which I am 40% more private than others not doing the same thing. Now, I wanted to step up the game and I didn’t want google as my main search engine provider so I started searching for other options and was convinced with some but was not totally ready to entrust them. Now, I was in trouble but I am not a quitting kind of person so now, I wanted to use my 5 years of programming experience to use and make my own search engine which respects privacy ( basically what I wanted a search engine to be like ) and uses three servers before it reaches the end-user, this will makes data so private that you, your router and your internet provider are the only ones able to get that data. I am making it right now and it will also probably be one of the first search engines made in Nepal, it is nowhere to be completed. It can just show search results right now and if the amount of requests is increased to the server it freaks out and gives one search result which is hilarious to watch, my server crying doesn’t do this to me.

I named it Khoji or also known as Khoji hera and after it is complete I will be 90% more private on the internet. Go to Khoji to see what it can do right now. You will be able to use Khoji hera after it is out at Khoji. And the other 10% out of 100 is something that we don’t have the power to control yet. But I know one day we will be completely private and our data will be our own, none of theirs.
