I like flowers
It's fun to see when the rain gives them a shower!
Red, orange, yellow and pink
They are so beautiful, I sometimes think.
I like flowers
I, sometimes water them in my garden
I pluck and place them in my room
I take care of them each day
Because I like watching them bloom!
Tihar is the second-greatest festive celebration in Nepal after Dashain. Tihar is also known as 'Diwali.' Not only in Nepal but also in India, it is celebrated. Tihar falls in the month of October or November (Kartik). In the Newar community, it is known as 'Swanti,' and among the 'Madhesi,' it is known as 'Diwali.' This festival is the festival of light.
Tihar is celebrated for five days. The first day is called 'Kag Tihar,' when people worship crows as message carriers. Similarly, on the second day known as 'Kukur Tihar,' people worship dogs as the protectors of their houses and properties. People offer them garlands and tika and provide them with food.
The third day of Tihar is known as 'Gai Tihar' or 'Laxmi Puja.' On this day, people worship 'Cow' and 'Goddess Laxmi.' 'Goddess Laxmi' is also known as the 'God of Wealth' or 'Fortune,' so on this day, cows are worshipped as incarnations of Goddess Laxmi. People offer Tika, garlands, and food. People believe that if Goddess Laxmi is pleased, they can have a lot of wealth. So, houses and surroundings are kept clean, decorations are done with garlands like 'Saya Patri' and 'Makhamali,' and different hand designs are made on the floor using colours, rice, and sand, known as 'Rangoli' or 'Manda' in Newar.
In the evening, 'Diyos' (oil lamps or candles) are lit inside and outside of the house to bring blessings and welcome to Goddess Laxmi. The fourth day of Tihar is known as 'Maha Puja' (self-body worship) or 'Govardhan Puja,' which involves worshipping cow dung. On this day, the 'New Year' of the 'Nepal Sambat' calendar is marked.
The fifth and last day of Tihar is known as 'Bhai Tika.' On this day, sisters worship their brothers by applying a seven-colour tika (Saptarangi Tika) on their foreheads and garlands around their necks. This is done to wish for the long life, blessings, and protection of the brothers from the Lord King of Death (Yamraj). Sisters also present gifts along with sweets, nuts, fruits, and other specialty food items.
This festival represents love, joy, and happiness. It is also an occasion to strengthen the bond between brothers and sisters.

I have a lot of lovely friends
I’ll stay with them till the day ends
They help me to study and learn
My friends are my valuables that I have earned!
I help them with classworks
And sometimes with homeworks too
It's fun and pleasure to have such friends
Those who stay with me just like I do!

Cricket is a very famous game played by many countries and people. It is an outdoor game. It was invented in the early 17 century in South England. The game is played between two teams. It is played with bat and ball.
The batter has to hit the ball to earn more runs while the fielders in the baller team try to catch the ball in the air or stop it from going out of the field to give fewer runs. The baller has to hit the ball to the wicket or to the wicketkeeper to make the batters out. There is a small stick known as a bell on top of the wicket that lights up when the ball hits the wicket. If the teams are the second team to bat, they have to chase the runs of the team that batted first, and if the second team makes more runs than the first team the second team wins but if the second balling team takes more wicket than the first team second team will win.
The cricket match will go on till it’s finished, it is not like football, or basketball with a time limit. Some famous players from our country and other countries are Virat Koli (India), Kushal Malla (Nepal), Steve Waugh (Australia), Mark Waugh (Australia), Sandeep Lamichhane (Nepal),
Mahendra Singh Dhoni (India), etc. I like playing cricket and it is one of my favorite sports.
