कुनै समय हरिया नामको कुनै एउटा थियो । ऊ झट्ट हेर्दा त्यति राम्रो पनि थिएन । तर ऊसँग सुनको मुटु थियो । ऊ दयालु र घृणा गर्दथ्यो जसले अरूलाई हानि पुर्‍याउँछ । उनका बुबा राजनीतिज्ञ थिए । ऊ ठुलो घोटाला गर्ने थियो र उसले मानिसहरूलाई ठगी गरेर ठुलो रकम कमाउने गर्दथ्यो । हरिलाई कसरी घोटाला गर्ने भनेर सिकाउनुहुन्थ्यो तर हरिले सुनेनन् ।
एक दिन हरिको बुबा हृदयघातका कारण बेहोस भए र चाँडै मृत्यु भयो । उहाँको अन्त्येष्टिमा आउनुबाहेक, उहाँका नजिकका साथीहरूले उहाँको मृत्युको उत्सव मनाए र उहाँको आफ्नै श्रीमतीले पनि उसले पाउने सबै पैसामा खुसी थिइन् । तर त्यो मानिस तपाईंले सोचेभन्दा चलाख थियो । उसले आफ्नो सबै पैसा र उनीहरू बसेको घर पनि उसले गरेका सबै पापहरूको लागि परोपकारमा दान गरेको थियो । कुनै समय धनी र शक्तिशाली हरिसँग अहिले केही थिएन ।

बुबाकाे मृत्युपछि उनकी आमाले अर्काे धनी मानिससँग विवाह गरिन् र हरिलाई सडकमा छाडिदिइन् । केही नभए पनि दयामा विश्वास गरेनन् । उनले भिख मागेर जम्मा गरेको पैसा सामुदायिक आश्रयमा जम्मा गर्न थाले । तर एक-दुई दिनपछि उसले एक हात भएको घरबारविहीन भिखारी देख्छ । उसले त्यसलाई आफ्नो सबै पैसा दिन्छ, जुन उसले खानाको लागि राखेको थियो । केही मिनेटपछि एक हातले भिखारीले आफ्नो टिसर्ट मुनिबाट आफ्नो दोस्रो हात तान्छ र जब हरि उसको सामना गर्दछ । उसले हरिलाई पिट्छ र उसलाई नग्न बनाउँछ ।

हरि रातभरि भोकले पुलमुनि बसेर रोए । उसले भोकले मर्नेछ भन्ने सोचेको थियो । तर भोलिपल्ट बिहान ऊ एक बदलिएको मान्छे उठ्छ । उसको आँखामा दयाको चमक घृणामा परिणत भएको थियो । उसले पछिल्लो दिन भेटेको भिखारीबाट सिकेको प्रविधि प्रयोग गर्न थाल्छ । ६ महिनापछि एक वृद्धासँग झगडा भएपछि उसको हत्या गरी उसको शव पुलमुनि गाडियाे । उसले धेरै साथीहरू बनाउन थाल्छ र तिनीहरूले मानिसहरूलाई घोटाला गर्न समूह सुरु गर्छन् । एक वर्षपछि तिनीहरू ठुलो अपराधीकाे समूह बन्छन् । 
उसले अपराध समूहका प्रत्येक सदस्यलाई घृणा गर्यो र ती सबैलाई मार्ने र उद्योग कब्जा गर्ने योजना बनायो ।१५ वर्ष अपराध उद्योगमा काम गरेपछि उसले आफ्नै कल सेन्टर खोल्छ र अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय मानिसहरूलाई घोटाला गर्छ र पैसाले ठुलो रकम कमाउँछ । उसले बनाएका सबै साथीहरू पैसाको लागि बनेका थिए । एक दिन उसले आफ्नो बुबाको मृत्यु भएको सपना देख्छ। उसको टाउकोमा महिनौँसम्म दुःस्वप्न दोहोरिरहन्छ र उसलाई एउटै सन्देश दिन्छ "घृणाको बाटो छोडिदेऊ । 

She has become an addict 
An addict with intoxication of “Fitting in” in her veins 
No matter how hard she tries people come toward her 
When it was their own gain

Everyone in the school had their own little group
Well she didn’t
Everyone seemed funny and interesting
While she was an antique book locked up in a cell.

Her perfect plan to fit in has become a disastrous mess 
Loneliness seems to be her only  friend .
She was perfectionist after all 
Delusion of everything going perfectly well .
seem to be the only way to make her feel at bay.

She tries to look up to “cool” people 
Trying to imitate them  
And I ‘ve got to say 
She is quite a fabulous  actress.

It was all dust to the eye  
It was not she who she was
But even though it wasn’t the real her 
She was finally starting to belong somewhere.

I am a proud citizen 
Of the so-called homely country
With development blooming here and there
People smiling at the progress everywhere they said.

The land where we were born
The place we once lived with happiness 
The area once filled with laughter and joy
Is now packed with sadness and cries.

Are we ever going to be happy again?
Is the country ever going to develop?
Will we ever succeed in escaping today's situation?
Are the questions that arise in citizen's heads every day?

The leaders are filled with cruelty and greed
The citizen's cries are going unheard
The crisis is increasing day by day 
All people can do is always pray. 

The country is blowing with suffer
The rich are getting a rise in the hill 
The poor are getting elevation of down 
They shed tears painting the whole town

We hope the country will rise again 
To a better place with flower rain
With love and patience in us
We will grow together though. 

नसक्ने वाचा कहिले नगराऊ 
अरूलाई आशा मात्र नदिई राखौँ 
वाचा त गरौँ तर नसक्ने नगरौँ 
राम्रोको लागि वाचा गरौँ
तर नराम्रो केही नसाेचाैँ ।

सबै दिएका वाचा पूरा हुनुपर्छ भन्ने छैन 
आफूलाई वाचा बाँधी काम गर्न लाग्नुपर्छ
बाँकी अरूलाई हैन, आफैँलाई
राम्रोसँग राम्रो बोल्नु नराम्रोसँग  त्यस्तै 
त्यस्तै गरी भने जस्तै, जस्तालाई त्यस्तै ।

अरूको दुःख सुखकाे साथी
सके जति मद्दत गरौँ भएर माथि 
हाम्रो राम्राे काम अरूकाे नि राम्राे
असल मार्ग पछ्याउनु गन्तव्य हाे हाम्राे ।

अरूलाई रुवाएर आफू खुसी किन बन्नु ? 
मान्छे भएर जन्मेपछि राम्राे काम गर्नु 
सके जति मद्दत गरौँ भेदभाव नगरी 
खुट्टा तान्ने त धेरै छन्, राम्रो कामकाे सरी 

जे कटलर आफ्नो मधुरो उज्यालो होटेलको कोठामा एक्लै बसेका थिए । उनी ओलम्पियामा लगातार चौथो पटक रोनी कोलम्यानपछि दोस्रो स्थानमा आएका थिए । यो निल्नको लागि तितो चक्की थियो ।  शङ्काले उसको दिमागको छेउँमा कुदियो । उसले रोनीलाई हराउन सक्छ ? यो पनि सम्भव थियो ? तर जे सजिलै हार मान्ने व्यक्ति थिएनन् । उसले ऐनामा आफैँलाई हेर्दा, उसलाई थाहा थियो कि, यो हारले उसलाई परिभाषित गर्न सक्दैन ।
"धिक्कार, जे, फेरि होइन," उसले मनमनै गुनगुनायाे । उसले पहिलेभन्दा धेरै कडा तालिम लिएको थियो, जिममा घण्टाैँ लगाएको थियो । अझै पनि यस्तो देखिन्छ, कि ऊ सधैँ दोस्रो उत्कृष्ट हुने भाग्यमा थियो । ओछ्यानको छेउँमा बसेर । आफ्नो टाउकोमा प्रतिस्पर्धा दोहोर्याउँदा जयको दिमाग दौडियो । रोनी फेरि एक पटक अपराजित थियाे । उनको शरीर,भाव निर्दोष थियो । यो आफ्नो सिंहासनमा दृढताका साथ रोपिएको राजालाई पदच्युत गर्ने प्रयास गर्नु जस्तै थियो । जे लगातार मुकुटको अभावमा डुबेको थियो । त्यसपछि, उसको दिमागमा एक फरक विचार आयो । एक विचार जुन उसले वर्षौंदेखि पालनपोषण गरेको थियो ।  एक विचार जसले उसलाई सबै अवरोध र निराशाहरू पार गरिरह्यो । किनभने आखिर जित्न सक्छु भन्ने विश्वास थियो । उसले प्रयास गरिरहनुपर्‍यो, आफैँलाई धकेल्नु थियो ।  

जय उठेर र झ्यालमा गयाे । तल सहरको बत्तीहरू हेर्दै । रातको अन्धकारले उसले भित्रको अनिश्चिततालाई झल्काएको जस्तो देखिन्थ्यो । तर, शङ्कालाई उसले खान दिन सकेन । उसले आफ्नो सुरुवातबाट धेरै लामो यात्रा गरिसकेको थियो । उसले अहिले छोड्न धेरै कडा परिश्रम गरेको थियो । बडिबिल्डर बन्ने सपना बोकेको एक ठुलो किशोरकिशोरीले पहिलो पटक जिममा पाइला राखेको याद आयो । उनले रोनी कोलम्यानलाई म्यागजिनको कभरमा देखेका थिए, र त्यो छविले उनको भित्र आगो प्रज्वलित गरेको थियो । उनी रोनी जस्तै बन्न चाहन्थे । त्यो ओलम्पियाको मञ्चमा उभिन र विश्वको उत्कृष्टको ताज बन्न चाहन्थे । वर्षौंको दौड र अथक परिश्रममार्फत् आफ्नो शरीर परिवर्तन गरेका थिए । उनले पदकहरू जितेका थिए । ओलम्पिया चरणमा आफ्नो स्थान बनाए ।

उसले झ्याल बाहिर हेरिरह्यो । उसले साेच्याे कि निर्णायकहरूले कसरी प्रतिस्पर्धा गरे भनेर नियन्त्रण गर्न सक्दैनन् । उसले आफूलाई नियन्त्रण गर्न सक्नुहुन्थ्यो । उसको आफ्नै समर्पण, र उसको महानताको अथक प्रयास । उसलाई थाहा थियो कि यदि उसले आफैलाई धकेल्यो । पूर्णताको लागि प्रयास गरिरह्यो भने, उसको समय आउनेछ । जय झ्यालबाट फर्कियो र ऐनामा फर्कियो । उसले आफ्नो प्रतिबिम्ब हेर्यो, उसको शरीर अझै प्रतिस्पर्धाबाट पम्प भयो । उनले पसिना र आँसु देखे जुन हरेक प्रतिनिधि, प्रत्येक सेट, हरेक खानामा गएको थियो। उसले आफ्नै आँखामा दृढता देख्यो।"म सक्छु र म गर्नेछु," उसले आफैँसँग फुसफुसाउँदै भन्यो ।  उसले आफैँलाई गरेको प्रतिज्ञा थियो। उसले प्रयास गरिरहन्छ, धकेल्दै रहन्छ, र जित्न सक्ने क्षमतामा विश्वास गरिरहन्छ अब ।
अगाडिको बाटो अनिश्चित थियो, र शरीर निर्माणको संसारमा कुनै निश्चित थिएन । तर जे त्यहाँ उभिएपछि, उसलाई एउटा कुरा पक्का थाहा थियो । उसले आफ्नो सपनालाई कहिल्यै छोड्ने छैन। रोनी कोलम्यान अहिलेको लागि ओलम्पिया चरणको राजा हुन सक्छ, तर जे कटलर एक दिन त्यो मुकुट लिन कटिबद्ध थिए । र शरीर सुगठनको संसारको शीर्षमा उभिने, विजयी र गर्व नगरुन्जेल ऊ फिर्ता आउने, लडाइरहने थियो ।

What is the most important source for a country to develop? Many might say, ‘money’ . But it is not so; the real answer is human resources. They are the most valuable resource a country could have. If there are people willing to work for the nation and invest money in the country, it will certainly develop. Nepal is a small country situated in between the heart of himalayas. Nepal is also one of the struggling countries due to the lack of human resources for the past two decades.
The world is developing very rapidly. A small developing country can barely keep up with that pace so many countries fail and Nepal is also on the timeline of failure. Nepal; a country with less population and being landlocked it is hard for the goods to import and export and the local business can not grow beyond these boundaries. Nepal's politics is changing faster than a chameleon changing its colour; it is very unpredictable.

Nepal lacks human resources, it has been facing many other problems for a very long time because of it. Very fertile lands have been deserted. A land that could sustain not only itself but also provide some to other nations as a help has been long left alone. The agricultural sector is not the only one which is getting affected by the lack of human resources, even sectors like education and healthcare have been affected by it. Many skilled human resources are needed to grow a country where the most needed ones are research and field workers.

Many skilled personnel have been taken to other countries from Nepal. Nepali not getting paid enough go to other countries or they think they could have a rather peaceful life in other countries. My uncle, who I would like to call Ram (name changed), went to Malta. He is a great craftsman. He used to make shoes very skillfully. He went to Malta as his labour did not pay his son’s tuition nor was it enough to sustain their lives. Now he earns 4 times the money he used to earn here in Nepal.

In order for a person to sustain themselves, a single income is not enough. Starting a business has a lot of risks, and there is no guarantee of the returns of the investment. The Nepal government should support people who are risking to start a business and help them grow. They should bring policy to help research and fund the ideas opening job opportunities for people and there should be a sustainable politics.

Now in order to stop skilled human resources who  directly contribute to the development of Nepal should get the required funding and support. We should create more job opportunities and help people sustain themselves, else there is no future in Nepal.

त्यसैले म यो मित्रता, एक साँचो बन्धन भन्छु,
जसले मेरो कठिनाइमा मेरो हात कहिल्यै छोडेन, तर मलाई हँसायो र मलाई बिर्सियो,
मलाई थाहा छैन तिमीले यो देख्नछाैँ वा छैन तर,
म तिमीलाई भन्न चाहन्छु कि, तिमी मसँग भएको सबैभन्दा ठूलो चीज हाैँ।

We’ve all heard of poems before, most of us have written them as well, but where did poems start? What are the rules for writing poems? Do all poems need to have a meaning? Let’s start at the beginning with the main question, “What is a poem?”

The word “poem” originated from the Greek word “poiein” which has the meaning of “to make” and poems can be somewhat defined as an art form that uses lyrical verses to portray different perspectives. Though we don’t have a defined date for when people started to create poems, many assume that it had started back around as early as the 13th Century BC. Since poems are forms of art, there isn’t an exact set of rules that need to be followed when in the process of writing one, though this can differentiate depending on the type of people you’re writing to. There are many forms of poems which originate from different areas of the world. Some are listed below :

Haikus
Haiku poems originate from 13th Century Japan and follow a certain pattern, the first line of a Haiku poem will have five syllables , the second line will have seven, and the third line will have five once again. For example,
I write, erase, rewrite

Erase again, and then

A poppy blooms.

This is a Haiku poem written by Katsushika Hokusai that symbolizes how the writing process works, how many writers need to have several drafts before a poppy blooms or in a more basic sense, before their beautiful work is finished, among being a poet Katsushika Hokusai was also a brilliant artist and if famous for many of his artworks such as “Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji”.

Limerick 
Limericks originate from England though no one is exactly sure of when the use of Limericks started. Limericks are usually meant to be humorous, satirical, poems that follow a certain five-line rhyming pattern of AABBA, which means the first, second, and fifth line rhyme with each other and the third and fourth line rhyme with each other. For example:

“Hickory Dickory Dock,
The mouse ran up the clock.
The clock struck one;
The mouse did run.
Hickory Dickory Dock.”

This poem is one of the most commonly known limericks by Mother Goose who often wrote Limericks for children. Mother Goose is one of the widely known authors for young children stories or at least she is the fictional character that is often credited for children nursery rhymes that have been passed down for generations.

Free Verse
Free Verse is a modern form of poetry in which the poet can write pretty much whatever they wish, Free Verse poems do not have specific restrictions and is one of the most commonly used poems in today’s world. The writing of Free Verse poems started in the 19th Century. An example of a free verse poem :

so much depends
upon
a red wheel
barrow
glazed with rain
water
beside the white
Chickens

This poem was written by William Carlos Williams and published in 1923. It has a nice background to it as the poem is actually about a African-American friend named Marshall that William Carlos Williams had.

Among the poets mentioned above, there are also other famous poets, for instance, William Shakespeare, Edgar Allan Poe, Emily Dickinson, etc. 
William Shakespeare was an English playwright, actor, and one of the highest regarded poets in history. One of his most popular works is the play  “Romeo and Juliet”.
Edgar Allan Poe was a poet who was also famous for writing various short stories usually in the genre of death, love, thriller. His famous works include “The Raven”.
Emily Dickinson was an American poet who wrote a collection of lyric type poems including one of her most renowned works “ “Hope” is the thing with feathers ”.

Now, do all poems have to have a deep meaning, or just a meaning at all? The plain and simple answer of this is no. As we can see from the previous poems mentioned, poems don’t need to have a meaning and furthermore, poems are a form of art and therefore can be interpreted differently by different people. Yes, there might be a certain message that the poet might be trying to convey, but it’s entirely possible for people to miss the concept and think it’s trying to imply something else. Most poems nowadays don’t bluntly say the entire meaning of the said poem, instead the poets use similes, metaphors, personification, etc. and in my opinion, it’s a beautiful way of writing.

Why have we fallen this low? 
Abandoning growth we used to know 
Going all the way back to square one 
For we are back in oppression’s shadow

Why did we fight for the rights of all? 
If we ourselves were to destroy the results 
Did we struggle, get up and learn nothing? 
For we ourselves are making others feel lower.

Our hearts used to be open for all, 
Now all there is left of it is a lock. 
A lock that doesn’t seem to open, 
A lock that guards hatred for others.

We once preached of happiness and peace, 
Yet today we destroy it with no guilt. 
Today nobody but ourselves matters, 
Because our hearts have been obstructed.

We aren’t like oil and water, 
Never mixing isn’t in our nature. 
We people are all in this together, 
With no violence, we can make peace bloom in any weather.

We have to join hands again, 
For history cannot repeat itself. 
It is never too late to make a difference, 
As we all learn from mistakes.

Let's once again embrace each other with grace, 
Let's all love each other for our own unique traits. 
Let's all stick together and break the cycle, 
For the world can and will, for good, change.

हामी नेपाली हाैँ
हिमालको हिउँमा खल्दै,
हामी नेपाली हाैँ,
तराईकाे गर्मी झेल्दै
हामी नेपाली हाैँ
पहाडको चिसाे हावामा रमाउने,
