On 10th Jan our school took us for a field trip at Bhaktapur Durbar Square. We wheeled up at 9:30 and reached our destination at 10:00. In the bus we all had fun. We all enjoyed a lot. At first, we went to the fifty-five windowed palace. We saw stone inscriptions and copper inscriptions there. We visited two museums. In one we saw the photos of King and their descriptions. In the other, we saw the place where someone tried to kill King Prithvi Narayan Shah. We took many photos. We saw small shops where there were masks and clothes. But because of the earthquake, the place was mostly damaged in many parts. We had a chance to see the pond where the king and the queen used to bath.
On 10th Jan, we went on a field trip. I and my friend Rushina were partners. We visited Bhaktapur and it was very fun there. We saw the destruction of monuments due to the earthquake. There were a lot of statues of animals and gods and goddesses. We saw tall buildings, temples, and different scripture monuments. Due to the earthquake, the buildings were damaged so the construction was going on by the local people. We saw many shops and restaurants. When we reached there we also saw less amount of people. In the shops, we saw photos, art and craft, jewelry, clothes, frames, art collection, puppet dolls, bags, ornaments, food, god marks etc. We also saw stone inscriptions. We saw Dhungedhara, Big temple, soldier statues, the temple’s decorations, bird statues, etc. We saw weapons and goddesses, god picture, god picture, and king. Then we ate lunch and came back to school.
The first things that we saw in the museum are some temples, some statues, fifty-five windowed palace, stone inscriptions, and handmade items and other stuff. Many buildings collapsed due to the earthquake of 2072. They were all under the process of reconstruction. There were also painting materials that have been used for making god’s masks. We saw beautiful stone inscriptions in many places and also we saw elephant statues, Nyatapola( the famous 5-story roofed temple), Sarak pond, etc. We also saw King Taleju temple. The Sarak pond was used for the king and the queen taking a bath. The things that we saw in Bhaktapur were wonderful and historical.
Today is September 7th, 2018. I hurried to go school because today is Literacy Day. Our school was going to organize a program for Literacy Day, in which I was going to perform as well as there are other students who are participating, too. In this program, I was going to be a doctor. When I started to perform my performance on the stage, I felt very happy because all of the audience were praising me and after that, my teacher also told me that I have done well.
I woke up at 6:30 AM. I did some exercise and got freshened up. Then I drank my milk at 6:50. At 7:00 AM I dressed up for school. I still had time to leave for school so I practiced for literacy day. I practiced till 7:30. Then I read my books and it was already 8:00 AM so my sister and I went downstairs and waited for the school van to come. I reached school at 9:00 AM. I went to my class. In the first period we had our social test then we had our art class. Ms. Rukmani taught us to make father’s day card. We had sports in the third period but the school decoration was going on so we could not play. Thus we helped in school decoration. Later after lunch, we had our Sanskrit class. It was so much fun. And finally, after practicing for 5th, 6th and 7th period we were already at the end of the program and it was already 3:30 PM. We were all so tired but we had fun. I came back home, took a rest for a while, finished my home works, ate my dinner and slept.
I love you, Father. You are the best person for me in the whole world. You are always there for me. You never leave me. You are always there to encourage me. I always see you working hard for me. You have bought me everything I wanted and most importantly you gave me the education by sending to a wonderful school. I promise that one day you will be very proud of me and I will never make you disappointed by anything.
On the literacy day, I got to dress as an announcer. I was so excited because I was chosen for the profession I love. In the first period, Ms. Yukta took unit test. In the second period, Ms. Rukmani asked us to make Father’s day card. In the third period, we had our sports but we could not play because other classes were decorating. In the fourth period, we had Sanskrit period. I was not happy because I did not get a chance to recite a poem. Then, in the fifth, sixth and seventh period we were asked to decorate chart papers for the literacy day. After completing the work, we presented it to parents as well as teachers. I was so happy because our principal came to me to shake hands.
I woke up early in the morning and started practicing for today’s Literacy Day programme as we were participating in a book talk. After practicing for some time, I went to have my breakfast and left to school with my father as it was already 8:20 in the morning. After I reached the school, I greeted all my friends and we all were very excited about today’s programme. After talking for some time, we all went to our classroom and started preparing our book talk for the programme as our class teacher told us to do. We were divided into four groups. For example, there are skit, Character Sketch, Book talk and Profession. In each group we had to do English and Nepali versions. We were doing our work sincerely without delaying. After having our lunch, it was time for our exhibition where we had to explain the book without looking. Parents of our junior siblings and teachers listened to us and praised us for our work. By the end of the day, the programme was over and I was very happy with my work because everybody praised and liked the work done by me and the group.
On October 7th 2018, we celebrated Literacy day. Before lunch there were regular periods. After lunch we practiced our skit which we were going to perform. In my group, I, Surabhi, Sanskriti and David were selected. We had prepared the skit from a lovely book named MATILDA. We chose the chapter ‘The parents’. In our allocated time, we started the skit. I was nervous but we performed it well. I loved performance from grade six. Their acting was amazing. This will be the one day which I will never forget.
I want to say that I love you my lovely father. On the occasion of Father’s Day, I woke up early in the morning and wished my father. He smiled and hugged me tightly and looked very happy. I had never seen him so happy. He always fulfills my wishes and wants me to be a very good person in future. He always helps me in my studies whenever he is free from his work. He is very helpful and kind. Father - thank you for giving me firm foundation, guidance, love and support. Happy Father’s Day!
My Father is working very hard in order to make all my dreams come true. He always motivates me to do well in exams and secure good marks so that I can have the bright future ahead. He always says that “practice makes a man perfect” and encourages me to practice in my studies on daily basis so that I can secure good marks in the examination. Whenever I do something good in school I tell my father and he becomes very happy with a big smile on his face which overwhelms me and my determination of studying harder further gets stronger. My father works day and night to give me quality education, so that my future gets secured. His love and care for me is so wonderful and I love him so much. I love you father and Happy Father’s Day.
