A human body consists of 60% water. Without water, the earth would appear and be lifeless. It provides strength and nourishment to our bodies. Water enables the smooth functioning of our bones and helps regulate our body temperature. It quenches our thirst, forms saliva to hydrate our mouth, and protects our tissues and spinal cord. Water also helps in digestion. Plants need water for photosynthesis to survive. The sources of water include rivers, lakes, ponds, seas, and oceans.

ThereĀ  is a process that shows how water moves all around our planet. The process is called the Water Cycle. It starts with evaporation, which happens when the sun heats up water from places like rivers, lakes, and oceans, turning it into water vapour. As this vapour rises into the sky, it cools down and forms clouds in a process called condensation. When the clouds get too full and heavy, they release the water as precipitation, which can be rain or snow, falling back to the ground because of gravity. This whole process keeps happening over and over again, making sure we always have water on Earth.
