Society is dynamic. It always changes as time runs. 20 years ago, society was different than what it was today. We can see a lot of changes in then and now.
Having a conversation with my father about social behavior 20 years ago was interesting. 20 years back people used to live in family-like today. But still, their behavior; socially were not the same. People were closer to each other. They had time for their families. The whole village used to be a family. Marrying at a small age was very common. The society accepted it. The use of gadgets or any devices was very less. If someone had some device, many people would gather there. Taking an example, my father was the only one who had a radio in the village. The radio was considered to be a magical thing. So, many people from neighboring villages came to see the radio because they were not familiar with it. That's why they would see it in an astonished manner.
Many changes in the social behavior of people took place in 20 years. Some behaviors were good 20 years back and some are good now.
A mother’s love can’t be described in one word. It needs unlimited words to be described. She is the only person who has no such demands, except one: our bright future. She always wants us to be happy. A mother is the person who is very important in everyone’s life. Mother’s love can’t be given by others. Mother is our first teacher and best friend. We can’t compare other pain with the pain our mother felt when she gave birth to us.. She can sacrifice her life to make our life better. Our mother always understands our problem even if we do not say it to her. She is the one who thinks of other’s happiness more than her own. We should always be thankful to God for creating such a wonderful human. A mother’s love is like the blessing of God for every child. Never hurt your mother because she is the one who spends sleepless night when you are sick. So respect your mother because every child doesn’t have a mother to care for them.
We went to Dog Training Center in Samakoshi. We went from school at 9:30am. We reached there around 10:00 am.
We got to learn about many things. We also got to know that Nepal has 89 dogs who are government officers. In Kathmandu we have 48 and in Tribhuvan International Airport there are 10 dogs. Nepal has 8 breeds of dogs out of 200+. We also saw some tricks and skills. They were very well trained and also very intelligent.
After the trip we returned to school at 11:30 am. We had a lot of fun.
On Asar 23, we, the students of Grade X, visited the Nepal Police Canine Division. It was basically a place to train certain breeds of dogs for crime investigation. It was established in 2023 B.S. CPU and GPU are two frequent terms used in the modern world of technology usually in gaming. You may have heard gamers talking about how powerful his/her CPU/GPU is. So, in this article you will be getting information about CPUs and GPUs.
So, as all of us know that CPU is the main component of the computer. If it is not there, the computer will not run. The CPU makes the computer versatile by having potential to run many applications and do many operations at the same time. But, the GPU is not that versatile like the CPU. Its one and only sole purpose is to render graphics. GPU helps to run resource hungry games. The best GPU till date is the Nvidia’s GTX 1080 series. The best CPU till date is the Intel i9 processors.
Therefore, CPU is a versatile component but the GPU is only for rendering graphics and giving an optimised graphics experience while using some games.
On Friday, me and five other students with Kuldeep sir attended a program held in Lumbini Academy in Chabahil. Many students from different schools were also there in the program. The first part of the program was based on the violence on women. We were shown a few clips of how women’s violence took place in different parts of our country. Even if it was long it was very knowledgeable. We were served snacks while all of us took a break. In the second part of the program, Ms. Saroja Nepal; a famous writer taught us the major components of child literature and taught us how to write them in a more efficient manner. At last, we were asked to write a story and narrate it in front of everyone. The program was well organized. We enjoyed a lot.
Unreal Engine (UE) is a game engine developed by Epic Games. It was first shown in the highly popular first person shooting games. Unreal was released in 1998 AD on PC. For many years the Unreal franchise and the Unreal Engine were going head to head with the Quake franchise and its engine. It can still recall the fiery debates about which game was better Quake III Arena or Unreal Tournament. I bet this is still a hot topic among old school FPS players.
This year’s first grand event of DSS, Back to School Night was held on 24th May, 2019 from 4 PM to 7 PM. All the students except the volunteers went home at 3:45. I was assigned as the volunteer for Grade X. I along with my fellow volunteers gathered at the stage to have a discussion with the principal and the teachers. At around 4:30 parents started to arrive. The bell rang at 4:55. All the parents lined up. They had an assembly like how we students do. Then at 5:10 the parents were taken to their respective child’s classes. They had to attend each class for 15 minutes. They took four classes overall. The classes ran upto 6:15 PM. After the classes, parents came down on the school grounds where they conversed with the teachers. The parents really adored the event. I hope they assimilated and remembered their past days in school.

Time waits for no one. Time is one of the most valuable things we have and it should be spent wisely. If money is lost, it can be earned again, but once the time passes it’s gone forever. Time plays a very important role in everyone’s life. For instance, students, service people, business people, housewives and so on. It is very essential to manage and utilize time to its best. We will have to set time to accomplish any task and finish it on time. Time only gives us one chance and we have to use it in the best way. We have to take it as an opportunity and make the best out of it.
We, the tenth graders, were taken on a field trip to dog training centre. The whole idea of the trip was to make us understand how police dogs are trained and what they are actually capable of doing in various aspects of police department.
We headed to the training centre at 9:40. It felt like a fraction of seconds before we reached there. It wasn’t that far. After we reached there, people in the centre were so kind. They guided us to the training ground. There was a little stadium facing the ground. We sat there. Then, a policeman came and explained to us about dogs and the canine.
There are 8 breeds of dogs in the canine. One of the dogs breeds that they owned was worth 7 lakhs and it had the most powerful smelling ability that it could sniff the evidence if it is taken to the crime scene within 96 hours. All the dogs presented there had their own uniform called harness that they put on while they are assigned to do some tasks. They had to work for crime investigation, scouting for narcotics, search for bombs and help in rescue.
