- Aakanchhya Khadka - 27001, Gr ... 15 June, 2021

The solar system
- Sayuri Shrestha - 28017, Grad ... 14 June, 2021

The earth we live on is a planet. Earth is called a planet because it is always in motion moving in space around the sun. Apart from earth there are other planets too, that move around the sun . In fact , till august 2006 AD, it was accepted that the sun has a family of nine planets . However , on 24 august 2006 AD the international astronomical union (IAU) voted for a change . Based on a new definition for a planet , our sun now has only eight planets . Pluto, which was earlier a planet  now called a dwarf planet, as are a few other bodies . These eight planets and dwarf planets move around the sun in their fixed paths called orbits.

Almost every planet has a satellite, or moon , that revolves around it . A satellite is any free flying object, the earth or any other planets have. The sun , the eight planets , their moons , and the dwarf planets form the solar system . The eight planets that revolve around the sun in the order of increasing distance from the sun are mercury , venus , earth , mars,  jupiter, saturn , uranus and neptune. The dwarf planet Pluto is present beyond Neptune and no spacecraft has ever visited Pluto .

The moon is what we call a satellite of the earth . The moon does not have an atmosphere to protect it from extreme heat or cold . so the temperature on the moon can be as high as 100 celsius at noon , and as low as -173 celsius at night . The moon does not produce its own light like the sun does . It shines because it reflects sunlight from its surface. (the American astronaut Neil Armstrong was the first man to set foot on the moon. He went with his colleague Edwin Aldrin on the US spacecraft Apollo 11 . They landed on the moon on 20 july 1969 AD . )

We see many things from the earth we see the sun, the stars, the moon, the clouds, the sky but there are more things that we cant see from the earth , there are more things above our heads just then the sky , sun , moon and clouds there is a whole universe on top of our heads and that one day most probably we will be able to see all those things.

आमा
- Rushav Paneru - 28018, Grade ... 13 June, 2021

Israel-Palestine conflict
- Sauharda Bajracharya - 26010 ... 10 June, 2021

We all know that how Hitler killed millions of Jews. But, Jews have been treated badly in the past. It all started hundreds and thousands of years ago. It is said that Jesus Christ was born in a Jewish family and due to this many Christians tried to crucify Jews. When there were many crusades hundreds of years ago, many Christians killed jews in a high amount. At that time there were many rumors like how Jews had drunk Christian children’s blood and how they used children for religious rituals. Jews had to bear all of this until the 1800s when the Jews started feeling that other countries don't trust them and in order to stay in peace, they need their own country. In the 1880s, Many Jews demanded their own separate country. And due to this, a large migration of Jews took place in 1881, the Jews made permanent settlements in Palestine. At that time, there was no Israel, Gaza, or the West Bank. It was just Palestine and Palestine fell under the Ottoman empire. Now let's fast forward to 1915, World war I had begun and the British, French, and the Arabs were fighting against the Ottoman empire. And this is where the story takes a turn, the British played it very cleverly and told the Arabs that they would give Palestine to them, will be theirs and they promised the same to the Jews, But the British had already made a deal with the French that they would divide the Middle East. So when the Ottoman empire lost WWI, France and Britain divided the Middle East region and The British took control over the Palestine region. Now after the year 1948, Hitler started killing the Jews and many Jews had to flee from Europe and go to Palestine but the British refused to let the Jews in which lead to the Israeli Nationalist Movement and then after some years British had enough of controlling Palestine, so they handed it over to the United Nations and United Nations divided a certain part for Palestine and certain part for the jews. The two countries agreed, but their neighboring countries did not like it and Israel’s neighboring countries started wars for several years. Israel alone constantly won all the wars. And in 1993, there was a peace accord between the Israeli Prime Minister and the Palestinian prime minister. The peace accord was successful and the two prime ministers were also awarded a Nobel Award. But this is where everything falls apart, the prime minister of Israel gets assassinated and many terrorist groups start to form in both countries. They were many riots, suicide bombings and Several bombing and protests were made in both countries and from that assassination since today, the two countries have been in a conflict.

- Ravi Raj Singh - 27010, Grade ... 09 June, 2021

Harry Potter and the Philosopher’ Stone
- Sonam Sunner - 27017, Grade V ... 09 June, 2021

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone is a popular movie. It is also called ‘Sorcerer's Stone’. Harry Potter and the Philosopher's stone is the first part of the Harry Potter movie. It starts when a boy named Harry, at the age of 1-2 years old, saw his parents die from the most powerful wizard named ‘ Voldemort’. But guess what? Voldemort couldn't kill Harry after he killed his mom and dad. He was just left with an unusual scar. And why couldn’t Voldemort kill Harry? Because of the power of love from his dad and mom. And then it goes on with Harry who has to live with his aunt and uncle who didn’t like him because he was a wizard but Harry didn't know that. This already sounds interesting doesn’t it? If I could rate it I would give it a 10/10 !Harry always wondered why he got that scar. It looked like a lighting bolt. Once he got mail, his aunt and uncle were shocked, because he never got mail. Once they read it his uncle and aunt tore it apart. After some time a whole pile of letters came from the chimney, window, door and more. His uncle said to move away where no-one would find them to give them letters. They found a hut. They were sleeping there until the door started banging. A tall man came through. He was Hagrid the wizard. He said all about the letters and said Harry was a wizard. Harry was shocked. His aunt and uncle wouldn't let him go to Hogwarts “The wizard’s school”. But what can they do? They are just humans. They can't fight a wizard. So the next day Harry went to Hogwart. That's when the interesting parts come. You might be wondering what a philosopher stone is, because that’s the title of the movie. Well a philosopher stone is a stone that can make you live forever, well atleast in the movie. And the only person who has eaten it is Nicolas Flamel who is the partner of Albus Dumbledore, headmaster of Hogwarts. When someone destroys the philosopher's stone the person who would eat it also dies. Voldemort, the most powerful wizard, was trying to get the philosopher's stone because he mistakenly gave Harry his powers when trying to kill him. While Harry was going to Hogwarts he met Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. He also met Draco malfoy but Harry didn't seem to like him. Harry, Ron and Hermione were selected in Gryfinndor house at Hogwarts. I really recommend this movie but if you can't find the movie then you can buy the book.
