Hello Friends. My name is Eshana Oli. I am writing about my favorite fruit. My favorite fruit is orange. Orange is very tasty. Strawberries are also my favorite. I like to eat strawberry flavored ice creams. My parents bring me ice cream. I enjoy eating ice cream.
It is always said that God could not be everywhere so he created mother. She is that person who loves her child more than herself.No one loves us purely than mothers do. She is happy to wake up the whole night to make us sleep when we are sick. She is that person who happily stays with an empty stomach to make sure we get enough food. No one can be like mother. So, it is our duty to keep her happy when we grow up.
We eat Kwati in Janai Purnima. Kwati is a mixed soup of nine types of sprouted beans. It is a traditional Newari dish. The commonly used ingredients are black gram, green gram, chickpea, soybean, field pea, garden pea, cowpea, and rice bean.
Janai Purnima is a Hindu festival. Every year, Janai Purnima is celebrated on the full moon day in the month of Shrawan. On this day, some ethnic groups of Nepal change the Janai given by the priest. We also celebrate Raksha Bandhan on this day. We eat Kwati on this day.
Bhanubhakta Acharya is the poet who translated Ramayana from Sanskrit to Nepali. He was born in 1814 AD at Chundi Ramgha village in Tanahun district. He was educated at home by his grandfather, Shrikrishna Acharya. He is honored with the title of ‘Adikavi’. The Aadikavi Bhanubhakta is said to be inspired by a grass-cutter. Inspired by the words of the grass-cutter, he wrote these lines:
भरजन्म घाँस तिर मन दिई
धन कमायो ।
नाम केहि रहोस् पछि भनी
कुवा खनायो ।।
घाँसी दरीद्र घरको
तर बुद्धी कस्तो
मो भानुभक्त धनी भैकन
आज यस्तो
मेरो इनार, न त सत्तल पाटी केहि छन्
जे चिज र धनहरु छन्
घर भित्र नै छन्
त्येस् घाँसीले कसरी
आज दिएछ अर्ती
धिक्कार हो मकन
बस्नु नराखी किर्ती ।
Teej festival is one of the most popular festivals in Nepal. This festival is celebrated for the long life of a husband. Unmarried women or girls also celebrate this festival for a good husband. This is also a religious, cultural, and social festival. It is celebrated for three days. The first day of Teej is 'Dar Khane Din'. On this day, all family members, especially women sing, dance, and have a grand celebration. The fun goes on till midnight. Dar Khane Din is celebrated as the eve of Teej.
The second day is called Teej. It is a fasting day. Women get dressed in red sarees or kurtas and visit nearby Lord Shiva Temple. They don't eat anything for the whole day.
The third day is Rishi Panchami. On this day Sapta Rishi is worshipped.

Gai is cow and jatra is a procession or festival. This festival generally falls in the month of August/September. This year's Gaijatra was on August 4, 2020, that is on Shrawan 20, 2077. This festival is one of the most popular festivals in Nepal. It is said that people in ancient times started worshiping Yamaraj, the god of death on this day. Gaijatra was started by King Pratap Malla. In Newar community in the Kathmandu valley, families who have a death during the year participate in Gaijatra. It is a festival which empowers people to accept the reality of death.
Butterflies are the most beautiful insect. It has bright and colorful wings. Butterflies are found in gardens, parks, and forests. They fly from one flower to another. Butterflies are found in various colors like red, blue, yellow, white, etc. They attract everyone’s attention. Children like to play with butterflies. The life of the butterfly has four stages. The first stage is an egg, then it turns into a caterpillar. Caterpillar eats lots of leaves and goes into a resting stage and becomes a pupa. The pupa breaks and a butterfly comes out. Butterflies are nature's beautiful gift.
My school’s name is Sifal Secondary School. There are many buildings in my school. There are many rooms where we can do yoga, dance, singing, and reading. There is a big library too with many books. In my classroom, there are colorful tables and chairs. There are many office rooms for teachers. My school also has a big playground and an assembly ground. There is a stage for students to perform. There are canteen and a garden. The name of our principal is Mr. Bijaya Shrestha. I love my school.
