Dashain is mainly celebrated by Nepali Hindu people. People celebrate this festival happily with their family and relatives. We had 15 days of holidays at my school during Dashain. During Dashain, I went to the market with my parents and bought new clothes: a jacket, sweater, jeans pants, and shoes. They were all beautiful. It suited me a lot. I flew kites. I enjoyed flying kites when it was very high in the sky. My grandfather prepared a swing for me at home. I was so excited, I played cards with my father. I went to 11 different Bhagavati temples. It took a whole day. I ate different kinds of delicious foods. They were tasty. On Mahanavami, we worshipped scooter and my bicycle. On that day, it was my father’s birthday. My mother and I baked a cake at home. The main day of Dashain is Dashami. I put Tika and Jamara from my elders and got blessings. I put Tika and Jamara to my little brother Ayan. I was so happy to put him tika. After this day, I went to my relatives' houses to put tika. It was so much fun to visit different places and meet all the relatives. I collected Rs 8200 as a gift. On the last day of Dashain, we worshiped Goddess Durga. It was a wonderful Dashain.

I enjoyed it a lot in Tihar. I watched Chha Maya Chapakai on my holiday with my parents. I went to the airport to receive my elder brother. I bought new clothes for me and my brother. I worshipped Laxmi, cow and crow and fed dogs too. I prepared marigold and makhamali mala for my brother. I played with lights and lamps. I enjoyed being with my mother when she was cooking Sel roti.

First Day-

Today was the first day of the sports week. I was so happy and excited. Our ma’am took our photos because we got appreciation cards on that day. After clicking photos we all gathered on the ground to participate in sports.

The first game was a musical chair. Class 1,2,3 were participating in the game. I had so much fun. The second game was bursting the balloon. My friend Nivi won this game. I also burst some balloons. The third game was a 100 meter race. I also took part. Sauravi won the 100 meter race. This way we finished day one.

Second Day-

Today was the second day of sports week. I was so excited. We all went to our playground. The first game was flour and chocolate. I was so happy, I won this race. It was so much fun. The second game was a mathematical race. There were problems to solve. It was also a lot of fun. I won that race too. I was so happy to win two games. The third game was the sack race. My friend won the race.

Third Day-

I was so excited. We all gathered on the playground. The first game was an obstacle race. Sauravi became first and I became second. It was so much fun. The second game was a spoon and marble race. It was also so much fun. My friend won. At last, we all danced a lot. Like that, our day ended.

Fourth Day-

It was the last day of sports week 2076. It was also so exciting. We all gathered on the playground

The first game was Hot Potato. It was so much fun. My friend Anshu won this game. The second game was the Zig Zag race. The Yellow House won. It was also so much fun.

Day 1-

On the first day of the sports week, I wore sportswear and went to school to play sports. The first sport was the musical chair. The first turn was class 1, the second turn was class 2 and the last turn was class 3 of all sports. I got lost in the musical chair. The next sport was bursting the balloon. I was first at bursting the balloon. The next sport was a 100-meter Sprinting race. I tried but I came second.

Day 2-

I woke up and went to school. The first sport was only for class 1 and 2. It was a chocolate race and flour and chocolate race for class 3. I came second in the flour and chocolate race. My classmate Sayoon was first at flour and chocolate. Another race was a mathematical race for classes 1, 2 and 3. I became fourth in the mathematical race. And the next race was only for class 3. It was a sack race. I became first in the sack race.

Day 3-

I woke up and went to school with my outfit at 8:20 am. I was very fast to go to school. The first sport was the Obstacle race. I became the last. Next was the Spoon and marble race. I became second last at Spoon and marble. My best friend was first in the Spoon and marble race.

Day 4-

I woke up and went to school with my outfit. The first sport was Hot Potato. That day my best friend Ujjwol was absent. The winner of the hot potato was Ruska of 3 ‘Lotse’. The last sport was the zig-zag race. My friends were in the final but they became second. 

Our sports week started from Monday 21st October 2019 to Friday 25th october 2019. Monday is the first day. We had 3 games.Our first game was Musical chair. Our second game was a 100m sprinting race. Our third game was Bursting the balloon. Tuesday was our second day. The first game was flour and chocolate, our second game was Mathematical race. Our third race was sack race, Wednesday was our third day. The first game was an obstacle race. Our second game was a spoon and marble race. The last day of sports week was Thursday. Our first game was Hot potato. Our second game was the Zig Zag race.

I spent my Dashain vacation very nicely. I went to so many temples of Goddess Durga like Taleju, Naxal Bhagwati, Maitidevi, Kalikasthan, Bhadrakali, Dakshinkali, Guheshwori, etc. I visited so many hotels like Soltee hotel, Marriott hotel, etc. I also went to my maternal uncle’s house and other relatives’ houses to receive tika. I enjoyed a lot during my Dashain vacation.

We had oral health class during the science period. Our nurse ma’am, Ms. Smritee, taught us how to brush our teeth properly. She taught us first we should make our brush in a circular motion. After that, she taught us to clean back, slide teeth. She also taught us that we need to brush our teeth for two minutes. We had fun and we even clicked a group photo with our class teacher. I would like to thank my teachers for all these things.

Ghatasthapana:

Ghatasthapana is the first day of the Dashain festival. On this day, my brother went to Bagmati River and brought sand. My grandmother cleaned the house and put sand, some oats and watered them. After 10 days, the oats would turn into Jamaras.

 Phulpati: Phulpati is the seventh day of Dashain. From Gorkha Durbar they bring Phulpati and keep it in Hanuman Dhoka.

 Ashtami: Ashtami is the eighth day of Dashain. On this day, we fly kites. We worship Goddesses.

Nawami: Nawami is the ninth day of Dashain. On this day, we eat beaten rice and worship Goddess Durga.

Vijaya Dashami: Vijaya Dashami is the tenth day of Dashain. Vijaya Dashami is also known as Tika day. We put Tika on our forehead and Jamara on our ear. Tika is celebrated till Purnima.

Purnima: On this day, I worshipped Goddess Laxmi. We went to Guheshwori temple, Bagh Bhairab temple and so on. Then, we went to a restaurant in Narayan Gopal Chowk. In the restaurant, we ate momo.

 This year's Dashain was very much fun. I enjoyed the festival with all my family. On the eighth day, I went to my mama ghar at night for dinner. On the ninth day of Dashain, we went to Jhapa. While going to Jhapa, we saw the Koshi River. We reached Jhapa at night at 8 o'clock. I ate my dinner and went to sleep. 

On the tenth day of Dashain, I brushed my teeth and my eldest uncle put swing and I played with it after eating lunch. We went to my eldest grandmother's house. Then we went to the Domekha River. There we drank Fanta. When we were going to take my Grandmother’s, we saw the Mechi river and took my grandmother and went home. On the eleventh day, we went to see our farm. We crossed the river named Mai Khola and on the other side, there was Durga's Temple. We again crossed the river. That night I went to my father's friend’s house and put tika. I ate my dinner there and my uncle’s mother gave me the jelly. On the twelfth day, it was my father’s birthday. I woke up at 5 o'clock and came back to Kathmandu. We came to Kathmandu at 3 o'clock.

We went to the Horticulture Center for the field visit. We had so much fun. We saw lots of trees. We saw vegetables and fruits. We saw birds and heard their sound. We ate snacks after watching different plants. We also played. I sat in the last row of the bus. We came back to school and filled the visit reflection sheet.

Today, our class visited the Horticulture Center of Kirtipur. There were 4 teachers, 2 drivers, and 44 friends. On my field visit, I saw a very big garden. There were different kinds of plants. The plants were oranges, pears, guavas, grapes, chestnuts, and kiwi fruits. I saw the beautiful flowers and trees. We clicked photos with friends and teachers. We enjoyed eating snacks with friends and teachers. I got scared when I saw insects on my leg. My favorite part was sharing snacks with friends.

Today, our class visited Horticulture Center, Kirtipur. We saw so many plants there. We saw cactus, oranges, pears, chestnut, kiwi fruit, lemon, and roses. We saw huge caterpillar and eagle flying up in the sky. We heard the sound of the parrot. We saw some old houses too.
