During rainy seasons, when there is excessive rainfall, the river rises above the banks and flows into nearby lands causing a flood. It damages crops, roads, property, and life. In such times, water supply, communication, and electric lines get affected. There is a shortage of food, water, etc. Due to unhygienic conditions, diseases like typhoid, malaria and other diseases spread and cause to be epidemic. A cyclone is a very strong wind accompanied by heavy rains. In coastal areas flooding is caused by cyclones.
First, I want to thank our H.P.E teacher, Mr. Kuldeep Gupta for organizing Social life skill. It was a really interesting program. In our third period, we started this program. he divided us into 3 groups. The first group was assigned to Grade 1A, the second group was assigned to Grade 1B and the third group was assigned to Grade 1C. I was in the first group with my friends: Ocean and Samrat. Samrat started to teach about teeth. When Samrat finished telling about teeth to the brothers and sisters, Ocean started her presentation. When she finished her presentation, I started giving a presentation about teeth. Then, we started to ask one by one to all of the brothers and sisters. They were very excited to learn about new things. Ocean, Samrat and I made the pictures of teeth. I described teeth to all of the brothers and sisters. Mr. Gupta was taking a photo. When I finished discussing, Mr. Gupta said the class was over. So, we all said goodbye to the brothers and sisters. Then we went to class. The program was finished at 11:15.
On May 24th our school held an event called, “Back To School Night”. After the school was over we finished our snacks and had a short meeting. In the meeting we got pamphlets. Around 4:55 pm, parents started to come. I was appointed Kanchanjunga B. In my class,6-7 parents attended the program.
We enjoyed a lot during the event. We drank tea as well. My job was to guide the parents from one place to another. Firstly, I took the parents to class 3.Then the vocal room, back to class 3 again and then the music room. All the parents enjoyed being engaged in the program. I also had a lot of fun. At last I guided the parents from the music room to the ground. Grade 1 parents took a group photo. My father was also present in the program. After the program was over at around 6 o'clock my father and I returned home.

Childhood is the age where children are like a flower bud, very sensitive. Children are very smart these days. On 4th June we the students from Grade VIII went to teach dental hygiene to the students of Grade I. It was an amazing experience. The program was conducted by our health teacher, Mr. Kuldeep Gupta. He guided us about what we should do and what we should not. He gave us many ideas to make learning a fun activity and oriented us about how to teach and develop a friendship with students.
In the third period, we went to the respective sections of class one as assigned. I had to go to Grade I 'Manaslu’ with my two friends: Samrat and Sarjan. As we entered the classroom, it felt so good to listen to the little sweet voices of the students. As we started teaching them about dental hygiene they were so eager to learn about it. So they were paying attention to whatever we were saying. They were fully concentrated on things we were talking about. Whenever we asked them questions, they answered promptly. All the grade eight students were shocked to know that the students of grade I were fully aware of what should be done and what should not be done to keep our teeth healthy. The happy faces of those students reflected their inner beauty and their smartness. At the end of the class, they repeated everything we taught them and they thanked us which felt so good.
The experience of teaching had never been bad to me. It has always brought a smile on my face. And this time was a different experience to see the students eagerly trying to learn. This made me realize that “ Today’s readers are for sure tomorrow’s leaders”. It was our good luck to get an opportunity to teach them and was our pleasure to deliver our knowledge to the children.
When I heard about “Back To School Night,” I was really excited because it was the event in which parents had to come to school and study like us. Luckily, I was selected as a volunteer. I was so happy that I got selected as a volunteer in the event because I always wanted to volunteer in Back To School Night. Each volunteer were given their own classes to volunteer and I was assigned to volunteer in Grade 2B. We were clear about what we had to do. On the day of the event, we first had our snacks then we had a small meeting. When the parents arrived, they lined up for assembly. After the assembly, we took them to their respective classes. They had their classes according to the routine. After their classes were over, I took them back to the ground. They were talking with other parents and teachers. Everyone was having so much fun during the event.
Bats are the only mammals that fly. Bats' ancestors lived in trees and ate insects and fruits. Somewhere along the line, a bat was born with a flap of skin that stretched across the finger bones. Perhaps this extra skin webbing gave that bat ancestor some sort of advantage and it reproduced and passed the characteristic onto its offspring. After generations of bats, the fingers became very long and the thin membrane joined the fingers together to become wings.
Today I was really excited to teach about dental hygiene to the small children. That's why I made a different drawing to make them understand the things of about dental hygiene properly.
I think it was the best experience that I had until now. Well in the 3rd period we had the program. First of all group 1 went to grade 1 ‘Makalu’. After that group 2, and our group went to Grade 1 ‘Annapurna’. And it clearly reflected in their eyes that they were really excited to learn about dental hygiene. This made us more confident.
Well, first of all, we asked them about their teeth. And we were really happy by listening to their wonderful answers. They were very smart. After that, we asked them to show how do they brush. One brother came and showed us how he brushed. I was really mesmerized how such small children can perform so well.
Later, we taught them good habits for teeth and bad habits for the teeth. We had a wonderful experience explaining about dental hygiene. And we also gave them a worksheet to learn about dental hygiene and made them draw.
After the end of the exam, on the second day, I woke up at 5 am and went to my maternal uncle’s house. Then at exactly 3 pm, I reached there. When I reached there I was so surprised not to see my cousins there. I asked where they have gone and my grandmother explained to me everything.
Grandmother: They went to visit Rauta temple with their parents
Me: When will they return? Where is Rauta temple and why have they gone there, Grandma?
Grandmother: Why are you panicking so much? They will return soon! Rauta temple is located in Udayapur district in Sagarmatha zone of eastern development region of Nepal. It is one of the famous Hindu temples and has become a tourist spot. Many tourists come there to worship. Actually, it is a VDC and 40 km above from Gaighat.
Me: Oh! Thank you, Grandma!
Grandmother: You’re welcome!
How would you like to have a few moons named after you? The four largest moons of Jupiter are called “Galilean” moons in the honor of the first person to see them: the Italian scientists Galileo. Galileo spied these moons in 1610 A.D. using a telescope that he built himself. It contained two lenses that focused light and made the things appear 32 times larger. It was called a refracting telescope. Galileo was also the first person to see the Moon’s mountains and craters.
Nepal is surrounded by two countries. China lies in the North and the Eastern, the western and southern part of Nepal is covered by India. It lies in the Northern hemisphere. Nepal is rich in natural beauty and resources. It has long and wide rivers like Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali. We also have large lakes like Rupa, Begnas, and Rara. Likewise, we have green valleys and lovely waterfalls. It is also rich in religious and historical heritage.
Nepal is a country of highly diverse and rich geography, culture and religious values. The mountainous north has eight of the ten highest mountains in the world, including the highest, Sagarmatha. The fertile and humid South is heavily urbanized. It contains over 240 peaks more than 2000 ft. above sea level.
Nepal is small but rich in natural resources, although it is poor by economic condition. Nepal is a developing country and due to the natural resources, tourists love to visit our country. They are able to see endangered birds and animals here and they can also indulge in the natural beauty.
Nepal is a paradise. The only defect is that it has no sea access; it is a landlocked country but it has more than 6000 rivers and rivulets. What doesn’t Nepal have? It is one of the richest countries in the world in biodiversity, in hydropower/water resources; inland structure and the friendly nature of people; their customs and culture.
Nepal has a lot of things to do and to see. Boating, rafting, mountaineering, paragliding, jumping, and trekking are common things to do and see.
Although a great number of people are under the poverty line and uneducated; they are conscious enough to preserve their culture and customs. They are politically aware too.
Nepal’s present need is educational and economic development.
Although, Nepal is such a dreamland where people live happily. It is the visitors ‘ PARADISE’, where nature is always alive.
It is such a place in the world where its single touch refreshes everyone.
On the whole, “ Nepal is small but resembles the world.”
Shamanism is meant to be a Japanese old culture or spiritual power. It is said that shamanism had a great hand in developing the ancient world like science. Many people think that there is some kind of connection between shamanism and science. However, I guess there is no connection between those two. No one of that ancient age is alive till now. So, it cannot be proved that it existed. And according to me, science only believes things which are proved. And I believe in science. I don’t think that the ancient age was as developed as the modern age. If it were, the ancient age would have been a modern age. So, I don't believe in the connection between science and shamanism.
