Being social is important because if we don’t be social, we will not be able to do anything in our life. We will not be successful in our life. If we become social, we can try to do better and better. If we become social, we can improve our behavior and discipline. If we become social in our life, we can choose right and wrong. There are some social programs like marriage, Bratabandha, etc. Being social is important because it helps us to fulfill our aim.
Diversity is briefly known as different varieties of people living in a particular place or in an area. In Nepal, diversity is seen because in Nepal various kinds of diversity can be seen; diversity in culture, language, religion, caste and ethnic groups. Nepal is known as the home of a wide variety of diversity. Diversity includes economy, race, disability, religion, political beliefs etc.
In order to make the country the best we should follow and respect diversity. If we need to make good relations with our neighbors of different caste, religion we should respect diversity. Just for example, let's think that a Brahmin and a Buddhist are neighbours and if each of the religion followers respect each other then there will be no conflict among them and also the increment of respect. When we respect diversity, social harmony is enhanced, the mutual understanding as well as co-operation, slowly and gradually the country will eventually be developed.
Finally, we should respect diversity in any condition and alway remember “सय थरि बाजा एउटै ताल सय थरि गोडा एउटै चाल”
Being social is very important. Being social helps us to be a good person. Being social also helps us to respect others and help them in times of trouble. If we go to a party or marriage or other places, we can help them and talk with them. Being social is that we can help millions of people. We can also help animals if we become social. If we become interactive with animals, they will also respect us and they also help us. We can keep our society clean. We can also teach and be aware of people about the importance of being a social person. To some extent, we can be independent and also being social. We can learn and utilize various things.
Diversity includes gender, economic status, race, ethnicity, disability, religion, political beings and so on. We should respect all types of gender, race, religion, etc. We should not discriminate anyone. Discrimination is a social problem which people do in order to race and religion. For example, there are 4 members in a family. There are 2 children, one boy and one girl. The boy always goes to school and on the other side, the girl does not go to school to do household works. The girl always sees her brother go to school because she also wants to go to school and learn many things and make friends. It's true that we need to help our mother in the household and we should go to school to be educated, either girl or boy. It is also true that girls are supposed to do household works but it is not true that girls should stop going to school and only do household works. I think that we should live in diversity. We should do our work in a team not considering any factor such as race, caste, colors, etc.
We should always respect our diversity. People live in diversity to get security in society. Example: There is a society in which the road has very unmanaged stone is between roads. People think that they should do something to take out the stone by joint efforts. They think of making the road nice and beautiful by planting many trees and graves all over the road. The advantage of doing the work in team or diversity is that we will finish the work on time.
Being social is very important because we can explore many things. For example, a wedding reception. A year ago, there was a wedding reception for my uncle. His name was Ayush. His bride's name was Dibyata. The title of the wedding was ‘Diyush’. The first day it was Sangeet. They informed us before so we had practiced from 2 months ago. We went to practice in a different home and had dinner. In Sangeet, every single person danced. On the second day, there was a wedding. That day there was only one event named Supari. Before the bride and the groom's arrival, we decorated the room with roses and balloons. It was very fun. I enjoyed the Sangeet and engagement a lot. So, if we are invited to visit them then we should not be lazy and stay at home. So, being social is important. My aunt was Miss Nepal Universe 2015 “Dibyata Vaidhya”.
The parent of Drabisha Pokhrel, Mr. Drona Pokhrel, visited our school and explained to us about insurance. We learnt a lot of things in the process and we got to know more about insurance. So, the origin of insurance can be traced to Babylon, Iraq. And he explained the phases of “insurance” very thoroughly. We learnt that people used to trade their goods which was also a type of insurance. And the bet that we wage is also an insurance which originated in England.
In the context of Nepal, the insurance started about 72 years ago which was probably 2004 B.S. The first insurance was Nepal Insurance which was established by Nepal Bank. As we learned more about insurance, we came to know that the scopes of insurance is very vast: Vehicle Insurance, Health Insurance, Marine Insurance, House Insurance, School Insurance, Hospital Insurance, and so on.
Overall, it was a great experience, learning about such a vast topic. Now, I have all the general knowledge of insurance and all thanks to my school and Mr. Drona Pokhrel.
Respecting Diversity is known as respecting gender, race, ethnicity, disability, religion, economic status, political belief. Respecting Diversity means not doing discriminating.
Nepal is a small landlocked country. There are different types of diversity. They are Agricultural Diversity, Geographical and Natural Diversity, Caste and Ethnic Diversity, Cultural Diversity, Religion Diversity, Class diversity, Social Diversity, Linguistic Diversity and so on.
The social, economic, cultural, administrative and political diversities and the way of living of its people are also associated with Nepal's physical diversity.
Nepal has many castes, races, ethnic groups, religion. We Nepalese always respect each other. Everyone says that Nepal is home of diversity.
On August 27, the students of grade eight and ten attended the Parents Talk Program where the parent of Drabisha Pokhrel, Mr. Drona Pokhrel, taught all of us about insurance. He gave us information about what insurance is and its importance. He also gave us information about its types. He described the phases of insurance very vividly.
We got to know that insurance gradually started in different countries through bets and exchange of goods that is trade. However, insurance started in Nepal 72 years ago. The first insurance in Nepal is the Nepal Insurance. We also got to know that the people in foreign countries have insurance for their nails too. It is a rare case in the context of Nepal.
Overall it was a great experience and we got to know a lot about insurance.
Big telescopes on Earth are great, but they can only see so far. Then the view is affected by Earth’s atmosphere, artificial light, and air pollution. To get really clear views at what’s out there, scientists are sending into space. The most famous space telescope is the Hubble, which was launched from the space shuttle discovered in 1990. It orbits Earth at a height at 370 miles(576 km). In July 1999, the Hubble was joined in space by the Chandra X-ray Observatory. This telescope “sees” X-ray given off by space by space objects that are billions of light years away. Photographic equipment and computers turn the X-ray into pictures for us. The Hubble has sent back amazing pictures of Mars and other planets.
On July 1, 2019; we, Grade VIII and IX, went to Police Canine Division which is located at Singha Durbar. There are 8 different types of dogs in Nepal for security. There were many dogs of different breeds like German Shepherd, Labrador, Bloodhound, etc. There are many branches in Dharan, Biratnagar, Hetauda, Pokhara, Dhading, etc.
From 2062 B.S. Police Dog Service started. The dogs give services like check on program, search drugs, search for thieves, etc. The main role of dog is VIP security. Dogs in Canine performed for us. The first performance was by a German Shepherd. Its name was Macsal. He showed us how it searched. The second performance was by a Labrador. It showed us how it finds bombs. The third performance was by a German Shepherd again. Its name was Dj. It showed us how it helped in crime investigation. The fourth performance was by a German Shepherd named Messi. It showed us how it found drugs. Likewise, the fifth performance was by a Labrador named Mario and showed us how it obeyed the commands and other basic things. And lastly, the sixth performance was by a Labrador showing how it goes through the obstacles.
After seeing all the performances, we went to look around. We saw many other dogs and horses. And then we returned to the school.
On July 1st, we, the students of Grade VIII and IX, went to the field visit to Police Canine Division. It is located at Singha Durbar. We arrived at the school premises at 9 am. We attended the circle meeting. We, the students of Grade VIII, went by van with a police officer as our guide. And the students of Grade IX went through the bus with a police officer as their guide. After half an hour we reached there. When we reached there we saw a big field and a statue of a dog. While we were proceeding we saw a small puppy. It was so cute.
There was a place to sit in the field. We sat there. In no time, the Head Officer Ram Chandra Satyal came and explained to us about different dog breeds. We got to know that Police can keep 20 breeds of dogs but in Nepal, we only had 8 breeds. They are Labrador, German Shepherd, Dutch Shepherd, Golden Retriever, Blood Hound, and Cocker Spaniel.
After the introduction of dogs, the dogs started to demonstrate their duty. First of all, a dog named Marvel demonstrated us how he would catch a thief. After that, a labrador demonstrated how he find bombs. Then a German Shepherd name Messi showed us how he would find drugs.
After the demonstrations were over, we went to look around the camp. There were 38 dogs all total. We caught a nice quotation written, “When it's too hard to look back and you are too afraid to look ahead, look beside you I will be there.”
In conclusion, the trip was fun and knowledgeable.
On Friday, we had “Back to School Night”. After school was over we had our snacks and a meeting. In the meeting, we got our pamphlets where classes names were written. We were given training about how to stand in assembly. After 4:55 pm, parents started to come. I was in 2"Makalu". We drank tea and enjoyed a lot in the program. After the program was over, my mother bought her phone and we took photos. I enjoyed the program very much and I loved my job very much. The parents also had a gathering. They were talking to each other and the teachers. Everybody enjoyed very much. Then we said goodbye to all and went home.
