Various aspects of the relationship between science and shamanism have been cited by modern historians of science and religion, philosophers, theologians, Scientists, and others from various geographical regions and cultures. Even though the ancient and medieval words did not have conceptions resembling the modern understanding of “science and religion”, certain elements of these modern ideas are found throughout history. It was in the 19th century when the phrases “religion and science” or “science and religion” first emerged in the literature. This coincided with the refining of “science” from the studies of “Natural Philosophy” and "religion” as distinct concepts in the last few centuries partly due to the professionalization of the sciences, the protestant reformation, colonization, and globalization. Many people characterize the relationship as either conflict, harmony, complexity or mutual independence.
In Shamanism, psychedelics are taken only in a ceremony under the guidance and supervision of the shaman or the spiritual leader of the community. The shaman would administer these compounds only for very clear circumscribed reasons such as an initiation rite or a healing ceremony to address individuals with severe medical or psychological problems. In the shamanic world, these compounds are never taken for frivolous reasons.
Both science and shamanism are complex social and cultural endeavors that vary across cultures and have changed over time. Most scientific and technical innovations prior to the scientific revolution were achieved by societies organized by religious traditions. Elements of the scientific method were pioneered by ancient pagan, Islamic and Christian scholars. Therefore, I believe that there is a relation between shamanism and science.
Shamanism is a practice that involves a practitioner reaching altered states of consciousness in order to perceive and interact with what they believe to be a spirit world and channel these transcendental energies into this world. The history of Shamanism has been traced to every continent on the planet, some dating back more than 10,000 years. It is a path to wisdom and knowledge, which is gained through direct experience with different aspects of the natural world.
I believe the science of Shamanism is the science of quantum physics. A shaman is a modern day quantum physicist who understands that energy is a building block of everything we can see and measure in the universe, including our bodies and minds. What if there was concrete scientific proof that shamans, energy workers, psychics, and other traditional healers were truly trapping into a higher realm to help others? Well, it looks like we may have finally gotten there.
For centuries, scientists have been searching for the ultimate ‘theory of everything.’ and, there have even been times when they thought they were getting close to that holy grail. Only recently have we really begun to appreciate the extent of what we don't know, as space probes and telescopes have expanded our access to the macrocosm whilst quantum physics and nanotechnology have expanded our access to the microcosm.
Today, we have been proven the existence of 'non - locality’ - Shamanism - the implication of the mathematics underlying quantum Physics that led Einstein to reject the theory because it let to quantum entanglement, or as he described it,' spooky action at a distance. As this appears to contradict his belief that nothing could travel faster than the speed of light, Einstein rejected quantum physics. But technological advances have given proof of non-locality - Shamanism in the lab as well as in the world of abstract mathematics.
Shamanism was an integral part of humanity for thousands of years, I believe, in our modern age with a technology that grants us access to knowledge from around the world, we have brought the old wisdom back, and in the most stunning of ways. Science has actually come to parallel the ancient practices of shamanism. Here is a list of five ways the sub-atomic level of reality parallels with the core methods of shamanic healing.
1)Observer Effect
2)Multiverses
3) Non-locality
4) Planck length/String Theory
5) Photon Inclusion and Electron Exclusionwide
The word "Shaman means the one who knows, Indeed, the ancient cultures deemed that status fittingly, as the shamans of the past had the most remarkable abilities. They tapped into the fundamental forces of the universe to find a solution to our problems. To meet, that is a more powerful feat than anything we have accomplished in the modern age. The wisdom of the ancients was more advanced than us in many ways.
On January 14th, the students of grade 7 visited DSS canteen to learn the social life skills and to teach the lower primary school students about their dining etiquette and table manners. It was a great success due to the tremendous efforts and hard work. The program started from 11:25 to 12:05 pm. The students were assigned to different areas according to their respective duties.
For me, it was a great time. Education is not only confined to several course books, but it includes life skills and other education too. The event went wonderful and we, the whole grade 7 were really very pleased to get the golden opportunity. Our task was to facilitate juniors to have lunch. Some were very polite and concentrated. While helping these kids still and obedient, we realized that at one point, we were like them. Our parents would struggle in order to teach us good manner while eating. We also found that many of the children eat all kinds of vegetables and some of them were not. They were not ready to finish their whole food. As we did they also made kind of excuses not to eat the vegetables.
But it was a really great time. It was a tough time but it was fun too. And whole grade 7 cooperated with each other and made the quotation “Don’t tell me, the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon” seems true through the hard work and effort we did.
I went to my new school, Sifal Secondary School, only seven days ago. I studied in Vidhya Sanskar School for six years. I was pretty sure that the environment would be very different and it would be difficult for me to adjust.
The first day of my school, I woke up early in the morning, freshened up, followed my daily routine and then went to my bus stop. The Jeep came at 7:30 to pick me up. I went to my class after getting off the bus. In the first period, we began to give our introduction. Gradually I found that the teachers were very friendly with the students. I also had a good interaction with my friends. They were very cooperative and supportive. The food provided by the school was also very tasty in comparison to the food I ate at home. The teaching methodology of the teachers was also very different from my old school. Now, I don’t feel awkward in my new school as I started making new friends and being interactive.
The Poetry Night was held on 25th January 2019. It was a wonderful experience. The beautiful poems were recited. I was also one of the finalists of the night.
Not only our teachers but also our parents enjoyed the program a lot. The finalists were allowed to invite the parents. Even the judges were very impressed. Also, our judges recited a few poems. That was wonderful.
The entire program was hosted by Ms. Aishworya. After the recitation of poems from all the finalists and judges, it was the time to announce the winner. The level champion from Grade I-III in the Nepali language was Yureka Adhikari, Grade IV-V was Sugyani Subedi, Grade VI-VIII was Dhiraj Chapagain and Grade IX-X was Sandhya Sah. Similarly, the level champion from Grade I-III in the English language was Shreevaani Dhungel, Grade IV-V was Aakanshya Khadka, Grade VI-VIII was Jiya Sapkota and Grade IX-X was Saisha Pudasaini. And the winner of Poetry Night in Nepali was Dhiraj Chapagain and the winner of Poetry Night in English was Aagaman Chapagain.
Are aliens real? I don't know, no one has even seen them. But I believe in aliens. Discovering alien life is imaginable, like how it would be known that someone lives in the universe. NASA’s chief scientist Ellen Stofan says that such a finding is not so far off. She expects that we will find an indication of life within the next decade. She also says that we will find evidence that there is a life in the universe. NASA says that if there is water there is life and it turns out that the universe outer part beyond the galaxy is way bigger and there might be life.
NASA also said that ”If there are aliens we will find out but don’t expect little green men." In my opinion, I feel aliens exist. Space is so enormous that the chance of these being intelligent life somewhere in outer space is pretty good. That's because there are billions and billions of planets in our galaxy alone and some of those are considered Earth-like by NASA because they have a lot of the same conditions as Earth. Scientists have been searching for planets like Earth.
Through there searching they have found the really good stuff. In 2015, a NASA mission found the first planet that might be a candidate for supporting life. That planet name was Kepler 452b, which they’re calling as Earth 2.0. It is about the same size as Earth and it is at the right distance from its sun to support intelligent life. It also has a rocky surface that could support water in plants and Earth 2.0. isn’t the only candidate as recently as on February 2017, NASA discovered seven more Earth-like planets while searching through space. NASA even discovered an interstellar object which they say is from another solar system. When they thought for observation it was an asteroid with a weird shape. The asteroid is 400m long and 40m wide and NASA even said none of the asteroids in our solar system looks like that.
So, I don’t know if it's true that there is an existence of alien or not but I do believe in them. And about the interstellar object, there is so much to learn and there is limited time as it is way out of the solar system. It was named 2017 U1 and NASA says it's fading fast, relatively the object is very small and it's very dim but I’m sure NASA can grab the information before it fades away
I do have a belief in Alien Life. I think it’s true that they exist and we might see them in near future. I think they will attack the earth for resources and come back again and again. I vote for the existence of the alien life because our great scientist ‘Stephen Hawking’ has also talked about the alien life existence. They may be so different. The looks they possess might also be very frightening. But we cannot walk only with the pessimistic approach, if they are friendly there is no reason to get scared. We can just be like friends and they can be helpful towards us. I wonder how advanced materials might the aliens be using now. Also, if we are attacked or if the aliens are here to raid us we can defend them with full effort. This story of aliens just sounds like a joke but this all can be true in reality and it all may happen. So, I think we should be friends with them. In a way, still, I doubt that what if the aliens have the same life and living style as we do. The most interesting part after we become friends to them we travel galaxies to galaxies with ease.
The social life skill day was wonderful. We enjoyed a lot. Our task was to feed children of Grade 1, 2 and 3. In other words, we had to teach the kids to eat in a proper way that is, to use a fork and a spoon, napkins and wash hands. We had lots of fun teaching them and they also learned many things from us. The social life skill was supervised by our teacher Kuldeep sir.
Teamwork is the effort of a team to achieve a common goal or to complete a work in an effective and efficient way. A single person cannot do everything by themselves. Thus, to finish the work on time we should form a team. Working in teams helps in different ways. Members can share their ideas with each other, support, motivate and so on. It also helps in deepening friendship. A good leader is the one who can form a hard working and sincere team. For instance, on Friday, Jan. 4, 2018, we had a classroom decoration competition. For this competition, we formed 4 teams among each other. I was in the second group. We had to decorate the window with an environmental theme. However, some members did not work hard. So we had to scold them and make them work. Later, they were finally willing to work. We shared our ideas and gave our 100 % effort. When the evaluation team came, they were very happy seeing our work. They appreciated our team effort. So, the work done in a good sincere team will be successful. Everyone appreciated our work. Thus I realized that teamwork is very important in every work we do. Working in a team is the best way to accomplish our goal.
Hi, everyone. It’s me, Amita. We all know that everyone has a class and they also have their best class. Likewise, I also have my best class, Grade VI. In my class, all of my friends treat each other properly and respect each other. In my class, there is unity and we all know the meaning of being united. Our class teacher's name is Roma Sharma. She is a really good human first and a good teacher. She teaches us OBET and moral subject. She is very responsible and she always focuses on group effort. She gives us many ideas to decorate the classroom. Because of her ideas, our classroom is very wonderful and attractive. Also, this hard work taught us more about unity. All of the students think their class is good at their level because of these reasons. But it is not that I don't like the other classes. I also like the other classes but my own class is one of the best and the most creative. So, I love my class very very much.
Many people say that things in this world can never be done by one single person but they are done by groups of people. The area of team leadership attracts a lot of attention in the modern world because of the need to assemble diverse teams for the completion of projects. The future of many corporations relies more and more on the kind of team leadership they have for their projects. In our class we have done many projects in a team, we help each other so the work goes smoothly. The team leader learns to lead the team. We all become responsible for teamwork.
