Last Monday we went to the Jyapu Museum in Lalitpur. We were really very excited to go there. We went there in our first period. We were stuck in traffic for about an hour. We had our lunch on the bus. After we reached there, we saw Newari culture ornaments, musical instruments, etc. There were 2 guides who helped us explore the museum. They told us about Newari culture, and their traditions and rituals they followed during marriage ceremonies, Bratabandha, etc. We also saw the models of Newari people working. We also saw stick figures of Jatra and many more. Overall, I enjoyed the field trip a lot.
Our school van came to receive us at 9:55 AM and our trip began. It took us 1 hour to reach Jyapu Academy due to traffic jams. We went inside. The objective of the field visit was to learn about the things used in the past. We saw Bag Dwaa, Khaisan Lhoo, a statue of Buddha, traditional clothes, different types of utensils, plowing materials, different types of jewelry, varieties of musical instruments like Sankha, Damaru, Taha, etc. The instruments were used by Newars. There were also models of people portraying Jatra. Finally, we took a group photo and returned to school.
On Monday, I went on a field trip from school. We went to Jyapu Museum. It is located in Lalitpur. Students of grade six and seven were taken to visit that museum.
I was excited for the trip from the morning. I and my friends were so excited and happy. We carried our lunch, water, etc. to eat. And our Class Teacher Nirmal Sir also went with us. He told us to carry our bags with our diary and a pen. He told us to carry a diary and a pen to write about that place, to write what we understand after watching and listening, what the advisor says about the stuff. There were two advisors who told us about the museum, about the things, about the dresses, ornaments, shoes made by jute, etc. There were many things about which we can learn from those things. Our advisor described the weapons, how to use them when to use them. She explained the rituals how to follow the rituals, how they are performed, when it is performed, where it is performed and others. There was all about ancient rituals, traditions, and festivals. We all were listening very carefully. To hear about our ancient things was very exciting and interesting. There was an article written about Rato Machhindranath Jatra with structure. There was a model of a farmer, Newari ladies, Newari boy, and also there was structure of Mha: Puja. And the most beautiful structure was of Mha: Pujas. Our advisor also belongs to the Newari culture/community. She explained to us very nicely and kindly. I liked her way of explanation.
From the field trip, I learned that we should respect our ancient culture, traditions, rituals. I learned about the dresses and ornaments, where to wear, when to wear, how to wear, etc. I am so happy to know about Newari cultures, rituals, festivals, etc. That day was very beautiful. I want to say to my Newari friends that they are so lucky to belong to the Newari community.
Hello! My name is Sanskriti Thakuri. I am from Grade VI. The school organized a field visit for Grade VI and VII to Jyapu Museum. After arriving at school, we got on the bus in between 9-10. We reached the museum at 10:30. All of us got out of the bus and entered the museum. I and Rushina were the partners. When we entered inside, we got to know that it was a Newari themed museum. We saw wood carvings, Newari dress, traditional ornaments, musical instruments, models of Kumari, Rato Machindranath, and many more.
The visit was very fruitful for us. We got to explore the Newari culture. I would like to thank DSS teachers who were there with us throughout the trip.
On 25 June, we, the students of grade 7 and six, went to Jyapu Museum located at Chyasal. “To find the lifestyle of our ancestors” was the main objective when we went there. I was astonished to see the beauty of that place. When we were going there, we got stuck in a traffic jam but even then we reached there in another way (shortcut). Actually there was a big house but the museum was actually located underground.
Going there, I found out that there were different names for the ornaments, clothes, utensils, etc. there were different types of soil like Kanchaa, Gichaa, etc. Some soils were used for medicinal purposes, some were used as a soap, etc. I found out that there were many types of weapons in the past. While I was there I found that Nepal was full of pride, “I am proud to be a Nepalese” because after seeing those things, I can proudly say that our country is multilingual and multiethnic, etc, a country filled with harmony.
The guides there were very humble and without anger, they gave answers on whatever we asked. There were many farmer bridges of Bagmati.
Thus, I recommend this place to everyone who wants to visit museums because this museum reflects Nepal as the country with hundreds of languages and cultures.
A wedding reception is an example. In wedding receptions, we can communicate with each other. We can share our feelings with people and they can also share their feelings with us. We can talk to our friends, relatives, etc. At the wedding reception, we are provided with drinks, cold drinks, and various kinds of food. There can be many groups of people who attend wedding receptions. In wedding receptions, the party palace will be decorated with different types of flowers where roses are mostly used. In wedding receptions, there are many waiters serving food, drinks, etc. Before the wedding reception, a traditional wedding takes place.
We beings are social animals. We cannot live without company, neighbours and community. We can get lots of help from the people of our community. Somedays if there is an incident in our house such as robbery, murder, kidnapping etc. Our neighbours can help us by calling the police or an ambulance. There are two types of community. One is good and one is bad. If the community is good their children will learn to be a good and a socialized person. If the community is bad their children will learn to smoke, drink, fight, etc. Being social is very good.
Playing sports is joyful. It helps to make us friends. It keeps us healthy. Sports help us to be active and smart. It also helps to keep our body fit and fine. Sports also include teamwork. Just like in basketball, football, cricket, etc. The players give their 100% in their match. Because of teamwork, the games are easier for us to play. Teamwork makes the match easier, so the team wins the match.
In football, you can notice that the players pass the ball to their team members and score the goals. Also in cricket, the players work in teams to take other teams out. So, this is how sports also include teamwork.
Before playing any of the matches, the team players always do training to win the match. So, this also includes hard work. If we are playing in a team we need to use soft skills then all the team people can listen to the ideas of what we are doing.
So, we need to use soft skills and teamwork for the betterment of the team.
Firstly, what do you mean by social? Social has two meanings: one is the subject and the other is a group or gathering. It means social gathering. Social gathering means occasions like wedding, birthday celebration, etc. They all are informal. But why is being social important? It is important because if someone is sick or has any kind of disease we can use the money given in those wedding, birthday, etc. We can cure them by using that money. If we participate in some organizations or any club, they can give money in need. If a fire were caught at your home, the organization you are working will give you things you need. In the social studies book of my previous class, I had read a story. There is a person named Ganga Ram. His house was on fire but no villager helped him because he was not nice to his villagers. It means we should never think that we are rich and they are poor. We should never create discrimination.
Many people play sports like football, cricket, volleyball, basketball, etc. There will be a match between two teams and will also be tournaments and world cup as well. Many of the countries’ people play sports. If they win the match they will celebrate with joy, and a match can be during the morning or the evening. They do trainings regularly. Players get money for playing the matches. There are players like Messi, Kaka, Pele, etc. Also there are different football clubs.
We are social animals and we live in a society. In society, there are different kinds of good and bad people. Small kids learn from their seniors. If seniors teach them bad habits they will also be bad. Every child carries the future of their nation. If they are educated properly, they will be able to work towards the development of the country. We should not discriminate anyone. A boy can also be a nurse and a girl can also be a pilot. A boy can also be a cook and a girl can also be a police officer.
