आज कस्तो घमाइलो दिन, मौसम पनि कति राम्रो सविता– सोनमले भनी । ‘अँ आज त विद्यालयमा परीक्षा छ नि, तर यस परीक्षामा हाम्रो गुरुआमाले विशेष तरिकाले परीक्षा लिनुहुँदै छ । जसमा तीनवटा काम पूरा गर्नुपर्ने हुन्छ तर हाम्रो परीक्षाकाे दिनमा एक जना विद्यार्थीले मात्र दिन पाउँछ, तर म आजको लागि चाहिँ तयार छैन’– सविताले भनी । 
उनीहरू दुवै जना पृथ्वीभन्दा बाहिरको लोकमा बास गर्दथे । उनीहरूको पखेटा थियो, उनीहरू
उड्न सक्थे। आफूलाई मन लागेको ठाउँमा जान सक्थे, साथीहरू मिलेर धेरै रमाउँथे । आज उनीहरू ठिक समयमा विद्यालय पुगे । केही क्षणमा घण्टी पनि बज्यो र उनीहरू दुवै जना कक्षाभित्र हतार हतार पखेटा फटफटाउँदै पुगे । कक्षामा सबैजना भित्र बसिसकेका रहेछन् । कक्षा कोठामा एकदमै हल्ला थियो । 
केही क्षणमा रविना गुरुआमा आउनुभयो र कक्षा शान्त भयो । सबै परीहरूको हाजिरी लिइसकेपछि आजको परीक्षा कसरी लिइने हो, त्यसका नियमहरू के के हुन् भन्ने विषयमा सबै विद्यार्थीहरूलाई जानकारी गराउनुभयो । विद्यार्थीहरूले कुनै कुरा नबुझेका छन् कि भनेर प्रश्न सोध्न आग्रह पनि गर्नुभयो । तर, कुनै पनि परी विद्यार्थीहरूले फखेटा फटफटाएनन् । 
आजको परीक्षाको पहिलो परीक्षार्थी छनौट गर्नमा रविना गरुआमा विद्यार्थीहरूलाई हेर्दै हुनुहुन्थ्यो । तर, सविता भने मलाई बोलाइदिए हुन्थ्यो भन्दै मनमनै प्रार्थना गरिरहेकी थिइन् । नभन्दै गुरुआमाले सवितालाई नै छान्नुभयो । 
सविता अगाडि जानुभन्दा पहिले उसले आफ्नो मिल्ने साथी सोनमलाई मेरो लागि राम्रो गर्न सकोस् भनेर प्रार्थना गर है भनिन् । त्यति भनेर सविता आफ्ना जादुको लठ्ठी लिएर बाहिर निस्कन के लागेकी थिइन् तब गुरुआमाले रोकिन् । 
गुरुआमा रविनाले भन्दै हुनुहन्थ्यो–‘तिमी कहाँ जान लागेको ? तिमीलाई त मैले तिमीले के गर्ने भनेर भनेको नै छैन ।’
सविता रोकिइन्, रविनाले कागजमा लेखेको तीन वटै कामहरू पढिन् । जसमा मुस्ताङमा एक सानी केटी जसको नाम एलिसा हो । उनी ठूलो कार्यक्रममा सहभागी हुन जानुपर्ने छ । उसको काम बाँसुरी बजाउने हो तर उसको त्यस कार्यक्रममा गएर बाँसुरी बजाउन लागेको पहिलो पटक हो । त्यसैले उनी एकदमै डराइरहेकी छिन् र जान पनि मन गरिरहेकी छैनन् । तिम्रो जादुको लठ्ठीको प्रयोग गरेर, उनको मनोबल बढाएर आउनुपर्ने छ । तिमी परी भएर पृथ्वीमा बसिरहेका र मनोबल कमजोर भएकाहरूको मनोबल बढाउँदै उनीहरूलाई मन परेको राम्रा कामहरूमा सहयोग गर्नुपर्छ भनेर गुरूआमाले भन्नुभयो । 
जब गुरुआमाले सबै कुरा सवितालाई भनिन् तब सवितालाई मन नपराउने अर्की परी श्रुती जो परीहरूकी रानी घरमा काम गर्ने सुसारेकी छोरी थिइन् । उनले सविताको मनोबल घटाउन तिमीले त यस्तो काम गर्नै सक्दैनौ, तिमी त्यहाँ नजाउ भनिन् । तर सोनमले सविताको मनोबल बढाउन, श्रुतीलाई भनी–‘तिमी त कस्तो अरूलाई प्रोत्साहन गरेर मानव सेवामा लाग्न हौसला प्रदान गर्नुपर्नेमा हतोत्साहित गर्ने रहेछौ । सविताले सबै काम गर्न सक्छ बरु सायद तिमी दरवारभित्र बसेर मानव सेवा गर्नुपर्छ भन्ने कुरा बिर्सेको जस्तो लाग्यो । तिमी त एकदमै उल्लु रहेछौ ।’
यति कुराकानी रविना गुरुआमाले सुनिरहनुभएको थियो । त्यसपछि गुरुआमाले भन्नुभयो– ‘तिमी सायद आफ्नो कार्य समयमा नै गरेर फर्किन्छौ भन्ने अपेक्षा लिएका छौँ । तिमीले मानव सेवामा आफ्नो सबै शक्ति प्रयोग गरेर सफलता हात पारेर फर्किन सक भन्ने शुभकामना ।’
त्यसपछि सविता परी आफ्नो लोकबाट पृथ्वी लोकमा रहेको मनाङ भन्ने ठाउँको लागि आफ्नो पखेटा फट्फटाउँदै, हातमा जादुको लठ्ठी लिएर हिँडिन् ।
 

Not that long ago, on a winter day, a little girl named Emma sat on a plane with her father, looking out the window as it rained heavily. She was only about six years old and didn't understand why they had to go abroad or move to China.

"Dada," she said as the plane was landing, and her father replied, "Yes, my Emzy, what's wrong?" "Are we landing?" she whispered, feeling a bit scared. The plane landed just then, and he and Emma got off the plane, finding themselves in China.

Emma tried to hide her fear, but her father knew she was scared. "Don't worry, Emma, you'll make new friends, and you know the language, what's there to be afraid of?" he told her.

"You're right, Dada, but what if the new kids don't like me?" she responded with a sigh.

"You're overthinking, Emma, don't be silly!" her father answered.

"You're right, Dada, that was silly. If some kids don't like me, then others will, and I can be friends with them," she responded, with a smile on her face.

Little did she know that smile wouldn't last for long. After reaching the hotel, Emma decided to distribute chocolate to her new classmates. She asked her father for permission and he said she could go but not too far from the hotel. Emma agreed but broke the agreement without noticing. She walked until she saw her favourite chocolate in a shop and decided to buy it to give to her classmates. However, she went too far from the hotel and couldn't remember the way back.

Emma tried to retrace her steps, but she couldn't remember them. She started to feel scared and lost, wondering how she would ever find her way back to the hotel. She wished she had listened to her father's advice and stayed closer to the hotel.

मलाई मन पर्ने खेल लुकामारी हो । यो खेल म सानाे हुँदा धेरै खेल्थेँ र अहिले पनि म साथीहरूसँग खेल्छु । याे खेल खेल्न मलाई रमाइलो लाग्छ । म यो खेल स्कुलमा साथीहरूसँग खेल्छु भने घरमा चाहिँ आफ्ना भाइ, बहिनी, दादा र दिदीहरूसँग खेल्छु । यो खेल खेल्दा सुरुमा डुम छानिन्छ र बाँकी अरु सबैजना लुक्न जान्छन् । डुमले चाहिँ लुकेका मान्छेहरूलाई खोज्न जान्छन् अनि १‍‍..२..३……भनेर गन्ती गरेर डुमले साथीहरूलाई खोज्न जान्छन् । साथीहरूले डुमले थाहा नपाउने गरी ढ्याप्प पार्‍याे भने फेरि उसले गन्ती गरी खेल सुरु गर्नुपर्छ यदि उसले सबैलाई लुकेको ठाउँबाट पत्ता लगायो भने जसलाई सुरूमा उसले देखेको थियो उसले फेरि यो खेल सुरु गर्छ । यसरी नै यो खेल एउटै प्रक्रियाबाट चलिरहन्छ । यो खेल खेल्दा लुकेका मानिसहरूलाई खोज्न धेरै मज्जा आउँछ र हामी साथी साथीबिचमा मेलमिलाप बढ्छ ।
 

It is all about my mother’s past stories, which are precious like china chips. 

My mother lived in a small village named Sungure on the banks of the Tamakoshi River. She was just five years old at that time. One evening my mother along with her family heard commotion near her house. My mother and her family heard commotion near her house one evening. Some people sounded scared, and some sounded excited. My mother and her family went to see what it was. To their surprise, there was a big tiger walking along the river. It was her first time seeing a tiger in the wild. She could not sleep the entire night, but she thought that the tiger would come to the house. She obviously could not go to the toilet outside the house. The other day, there was news that the tiger ate goats, which scared my mother more. After a few days, she wasn’t scared anymore.

Even today, she remembers as if it happened yesterday. This is one of her fondest memories of her childhood.
 

मानिसहरू र जनावरहरू धेरै अगाडिदेखि सँगै भइरहेका छन्। विशेष गरी कुकुरहरू । पहिला-पहिला, मानिसहरू ब्वाँसोलाई कुकुर जसरी पाल्थे। ब्वाँसाहरू विकसित भएर अहिलेका कुकुरहरू बन्न पुगेका हुन्। मानिसहरू र जनावरहरूको सम्बन्ध बलियो छ किनभने जनावरहरूले मानिसहरूलाई फुर्तिलो बनाउँछ, र मानिसहरूलाई अल्छी हुनबाट रोक्छ अनि बाहिर जान प्रेरणा दिन्छ। आजकल, धेरै जस्तो घरहरूमा, कुकुर र बिरालाहरू देखिन्छन् तर अरू जनावरहरू पनि  पाल्ने इच्छा लाग्छ। मेरो घरमा कुकुर वा बिरालो छैन तर मेरो मामाघरमा र हजुरबुबा-हजुरामाहरूको घरमा चाहिँ छ। मलाई सबै जनावर मनपर्छ र तिनीहरूको माया लाग्छ तर मलाई कुकुर सबैभन्दा मनपर्छ। 

यस कथामा जङ्गलमा काग र कोइली बस्छन् । त्यहाँ अरु धेरै छिमेकीहरू हुन्छन् । काग र कोइली साथीसाथी हुन् । उनीहरूले एउटै समयमा बच्चा काेरल्छन् । काेइलीका सबै बच्चा मर्छन् भने कागका चाहिँ बाँच्छन् । फेरि अर्काे पटक पनि सँगै फुल पार्छन् । यसपटक काेइलीले आफ्नो बच्चा हुर्काउन गाह्रो पर्ला जस्तो लागेर उसले आफ्नो फुल कागकाे गुँडमा राखिदिन्छ । उसले कागलाई नाेकर बनाउने साेच्दछ । काेइलीकाे चल्ला कागले काेरलेर हुर्काउँछ । सबै चल्ला हुर्किएपछि रङ छुटिन्छ । कागले सबै थाहा पाउँछ र कागले आफ्नाे बच्चा लिएर कोइलीको बच्चालाई छोडेर काग अन्यत्र नै बसाइ सर्छ । कोइली पनि कागको पछि लागेरसँगै गएर गुँड बनाएर बस्छ । कोइलीका बच्चा हुर्किएपछि आफ्नो गुँड छुट्टै बनाउँछ । कोइलीले कुहूँ….कुहूँ….. भनेर कराएकाे मेरा आमा बुबा को हो ? भनेर सोधेको भन्ने चलन छ ।
 

I am Anna. I was 8 years old when this happened. I was in my bed. It was morning. I slowly woke up and looked at my hands. "Oh No! "Where did it go?" I said while checking my other hand as well. I jumped out of my bed. I looked under my bed, under the sofa in my living room, in the kitchen, and throughout the house. My mother was perplexed as she watched me rush to find something. She asked, "What happened, Anna?" "You woke up quite early today." "Mom, have you seen my pink ring?" I asked as fast as I could. "No, I am sorry, but I haven’t." "Why don’t you check your room?" Mom answered. "I checked everywhere, mom, but I still haven't found it!" 
If you're confused, this is me. When I was 8 years old, I believed in fairies, mermaids, and lucky charms. Every other 3rd grader in my school had a lucky charm, and so did I. It was my pink ring. "Oh no! What should I do now? "My life will end!" I panicked. My mom wanted to laugh so hard, but she controlled it and tried to convince me. Well, I was late to school too, so I went upstairs with a heavy heart and combed my hair, but, oops!, the comb was stuck in my hair. I yelled. But I managed to reach school on time, thanks to my mom. I went to my friends and told them about my ring. One of them named Charlotte said, "Oh no, an alien must have stolen it; I hope mine doesn’t get lost." I was overthinking. What if an alien had actually stolen it? I made it through class somehow. Mom had packed my favorite cheese pasta for me in the afternoon because she knew how upset I had been all morning. I went to the cafeteria, and I was still thinking about my ring, and I tripped and fell down. On the floor, there was cheese pasta and a few jelly beans. I cried. My friends shared their lunch with me. "It’s all happening because I don't have my lucky pink ring with me," I said while I slapped my head. "Don’t worry, Anna. "Your mom must have found it," Julie said. At school, I seemed to be lost in class. I blamed it on my ring. It was home time. I hopped inside the school bus and hoped nothing bad would happen. I was looking out the window. When I reached home, I got off the bus. Outside there was a bulldog. As soon as I stepped my foot out of the bus, the dog started to chase me. I went round and round in my house. The teacher on my bus wanted to save me, but time was running out, and the bus went away. I was running so fast I didn't even notice the muddy puddle in front of me, and I fell down and scraped my knee. I cried and went home. My mom looked at me. I was covered with mud, my eyes were full of tears, and my knee was scraped. I looked like a mess! "Aww, poor thing!" my mom said. She gave me a warm bath and gave me warm milk. I got cosy in my bed, and mom stroked my head. "I found your pink ring. "It was in the bathroom cupboard; you must have kept it there." I was very happy, and I also explained how unlucky my day was. "Aww, but did you notice?" "You couldn't concentrate on anything else because you were preoccupied with the ring all day." But I didn’t care and made a little corner for the ring in my heart. 
 

म को हुँ ?

भनेर म आफैँलाई प्रश्न गर्थेँ ।

म को हुँ ?

यस्तो गाह्रो प्रश्न छ यो,

यस्तो गहिरो प्रश्न छ यो,

उत्तर खोज्दै हराउँछौँ हामी,

यस्तो प्रश्नको उत्तर ।

यो जीवनले हामीलाई समस्या पनि ल्याउँछ,

त्यही बेला हामी आफैँलाई सोध्छौँ,

म को हुँ ?

 र म को हु ?

म को हुँ भन्ने प्रश्नको उत्तर,

मेरो नाम यो हो भन्छौँ ।

तर यो त्यो प्रश्नको उत्तर हो र ?  

‘म को हुँ’

भनेको मैले गरेको कामलाई झल्काउँछ,

भनेर मैले यो लामो यात्रामा 

बल्ल-तल्ल बुझेँ ।

त्यसैले केही गर्नु अघि सोच्नुपर्छ,

किनभने त्यो एउटा छाप हो,

म यो लामो यात्रामा सिक्दै छु ।

अब आफैँलाई प्रश्न गर्नुहोस्,

तपाईँ को हुनुहुन्छ ?

My online exam was truly amazing. It was our first terminal examination. We did our exam on Google Forms. I did exams in all subjects. My electricity was out and my internet was slow during the social exam. The Nepali exam was our first exam. The Nepali exam was our first exam. I did questions and answers in the Nepali exam. There was a story too, and we needed to read the story and do the exam. I love to do exams in Google Forms. There is no need for us to take a written exam. I have fun doing the online exam.
 

How would you feel if you were discriminated against just because of your gender? We hear about women getting treated badly by men, but how often do we hear stories about men getting treated the same way by women? In many parts of Nepal and many countries around the world, women continue to suffer.

Promoting and protecting women’s rights on the basis of equality of genders is called feminism. 
A person who supports feminism is a feminist. The International Women’s Development Agency (IWDA) says feminism is “Respecting diverse women’s experiences, identities, knowledge and strengths, and striving to empower all women to realise their full rights.”
A male-dominated society, superstition, lack of education, poor human rights are some of the factors that deprive women of their rights. Women’s rights shouldn’t be only women’s issues. Men can play a vital role in changing societal attitudes and perceptions towards women.

In recent years, Nepal has seen some progress in improving women's status. There are emerging women leaders in Nepali politics, such as Bidhya Devi Bhandari, who is Nepal's first woman president. She has given hope to Nepali women that they too can aspire to become heads of state. However, there is still a long way to go, and more role models need to be seen in all areas of life.

It is important to acknowledge that gender equality is not just a women's issue but a human rights issue. Everyone, regardless of their gender, should be treated with respect and given equal opportunities to succeed in life. As a society, we must work towards creating a more just and equitable world for all.
 

हाम्रो समुदायमा मनाउने चाडपर्वमध्ये ल्हाेसार पनि एक प्रमुख चाड हाे । ल्हाेसार गुरुङ, मगर, तामाङ र शेर्पा जातिले मनाउँछन् । मगरले माघे सङ्क्रान्तिमा ल्हाेसार मनाउँछन् । तामाङले घ्याल्पु  ल्होसार मनाउँछन् । शेर्पाले सोनाम ल्होसार मनाउँछन् र हामी गुरुङले पुसमा तमु ल्हाेसार मनाउँछौँ । मैले नयाँ वर्ष, बुद्धपूर्णिमा, साउने सङ्क्रान्ति, तिज, दसैं, तिहार, विवाहपञ्चमी, छट, मागी, माघे सङ्क्रान्ति, शिवरात्री हाेली सबै चाडपर्व मनाएकी छु । मलाई सबैजसाे चाडपर्वहरू मन पर्छ । होलीमा हामी रङ्गीविरङ्गी रङ र लोलाको प्रयोग गर्छौँ । ल्हाेसारमा मिठाइहरू खान्छाैँ र सबैजना भेला भएर रमाइलो गरेर मनाउँछाैँ । मलाई चाडपर्वहरू मनाउन रमाइलो लाग्छ ।
 

एकदिन,लिसा ब्युँझनुभयो र थाहा भयो कि उनको जाडो बिदा सुरुभएको थियाे । भोलिपल्ट उनको १५औं जन्मदिन थियो, त्यसैले उनी आफ्नो रुख र घर सजाउँन चाहन्थिन् तर पसलहरू टाढा थिए। उनी त्यतै हिँड्न थालिन् । त्यहाँ पुग्न करिब ३० मिनेट लाग्ने थियो तर पनि उनी ८:३८ मा हिँड्न थालिन् । उनी पनि केही समयको लागि उनको सबैभन्दा मिल्ने स्कुलकी साथी मुनुको घरमा रोकिइन्, जहाँ उनका साथीका आफन्तहरू त्यहाँ भएकाले उनीलाई बेवास्ता गरियो। त्यसैले उनी फेरि सजावटकाे पसलतिर हिँड्न थालिन् । उनी १२:५६ मा पसलमा पुगिन्। उनी पसलमा पुग्दा सजावटका सबै सामान बिकिसकेका थिए । लिसा मलिन अनुहार लिएर घर फर्किइन् । उनले सोफामा सुतिरहेका आफ्ना बुबालाई सबै कुरा बताइन् तर लिसालाई सजावटका सामानहरू लिन मद्दत गर्नुको सट्टा आराम गर्न चाहन्थे । लिसा रिसाउँदै आफ्नो कोठामा गइन् जहाँ उनी २ घण्टा सुतिन्, अहिले घडीमा ४ बजेको थियो । लिसा अल्छी महसुस गर्दै ब्युँझिन्। उनी टिभी हेर्न गइन् तर उनकी आमा यसमा व्यस्त थिइन्, त्यसैले उनले आफ्नो आईप्याड समातिन् र गुगल गरेर आफ्नो अर्को दिनको जन्मदिनको योजना बनाउँन चाहन्थिन्, तर इन्टरनेटले काम गरिरहेको थिएन। त्यसैले उनी छिमेकी साथी लक्ष्मीकहाँ गइन्, लक्ष्मी आमाबुबासँग फनपार्क गएकी थिइन्। उनी घर फर्किएर आफ्नो कान्छो भाइ रामसँग खेल्न थालिन् तर राम धेरै आक्रामक भएकोले राम्रो खेल्न सकिनन्, त्यसैले उनी अब आमालाई अँगालो हाल्न गइन्, तर आमा बेलुकाको खानाको लागि भान्साकोठामा व्यस्त हुनुहुन्थ्यो त्यसैले उनी नजिकको पार्कमा गइन्,  तर जाडोको समय भएकाले बाहिर निकै चिसो थियो ।
लिसा अब निराश भएर फर्किइन् तर अचम्ममा परिन् उनका साथी लक्ष्मी र मुनु उनकै घरमा उपस्थित थिए र उनकै रुख र कोठा सजाउँन उनका आमाबाबुलाई मद्दत गर्दै थिए। यो एक धेरै दिक्क लाग्दाे र घमाइलो दिन थियो तर साँझ भने आश्चर्य र हाँसोले भरिएको थियो।
