“Walking with a friend in dark is better than walking alone in the light”.
Friendship is a special bond between two or more than two people. I think without friendship life is boring because friends bring happiness and smile on our face. We all have friends. Friendship is a relationship of mutual affection between people. We cannot live our entire life all by ourselves. We need a faithful relationship and happy living. And these two are achieved only by true friendship. Friendship has no limit on age, sex, and position. Friendship can be developed between persons having different passions, emotions or sentiments.
Today I woke up at 7 am and I remembered that it was literacy day. I wore my clothes and went to school at 8:30 am and in the first half we had only two periods and in the other two periods we started to prepare for the literacy day. And after lunch, the teachers provided us with some chart papers, markers, and pens. We started drawing and writing. After one and half hours we finished our drawing and writing. Then we went down for performing. It was a very sunny and hot day. The day was very awesome for me. Many parents of junior grade students came to visit us. There were many topics like character sketch, Book talk etc. Many students were wearing a dress of doctors, air hostage, the character in the novels. All the parents visited us and after one hour the program ended. We were very happy to perform on that day. Just like all the year, the school created some interesting programs. It was an interesting and wonderful day for me. And at 3:35 pm we all went home.
After thousands of years, from the time when the Mahabharat ended and today, when the modern science has emerged at its peak, humanity has realized similarities between Mahabharata and the Modern science. I also realized this thing at the Parents Talk Program held at Phewa hall. A father of one of the students of our school was there to present about the topic. He presented amazing things about the similarities between Mahabharata and the modern science. I would like to mention the things he presented in front of grade 8 and 9. Mahabharata and modern science have many things in similar. The first inventions of human civilization was wheels but it was already discovered and used in Chariot wheels- so called Rath in Mahabharat. In the Mahabharata, the total estimated death was around 1.6 billion which is only possible by nuclear weapon, in today's context! The concept of transplantation was present in Mahabharat era. For instance, Ganesh had an elephant’s head and a human body. Time travel was done by King Kakudmi who travels to meet the creator Brahma. Another amazing thing is that, there were already flying vehicles(Vimana) in Mahabharat. Two lines of “Hanuman Chalisa” states the distance of earth from the sun and which is 153,600,000 km. In the 17th century, scientists calculated the distance of of earth from the sun which is real close to the distance measured in our ancient mythology. There is also a science in worshipping Peepal tree and Tulsi tree. Peepal is probably the only tree which produces oxygen even at night. So in order to save the tree we worship it. Similarly, Tulsi has a lot of benefits, so we worship it. The reason we should not sleep with head towards the north is because our body’s magnetic field will be similar to the Earth's one and it causes problem like headache, high blood pressure and in long term it causes problems like Alzheimer, Cognitive decline, etc. There is a reason and science in our religious belief. There is a big relation between the modern science and the hindu mythology which will surely unfold as the days go by.
The event Deerwalk Sifal Night II was truly amazing. The entire School was decorated with banners, art, craft, flowers, lights etc. There were two stages, one for MC and the other big stage for dance, drama and music performance. The students from grade III, VI and other club members had participated. The students of grade X were engaged for volunteers. The grade X students were divided into a few groups like stage curtain group who had to open and close the curtain as well as performer calling group who has to call performers on stage. The performance like a dance of NavaDurga, Maruni and the music performance of music club were truly amazing. I hope parents enjoyed the Deerwalk Sifal Night II a lot. And at last, I wish there would be more such events in which parents can come and visit Deerwalk Sifal School freely. Thank all the teachers for providing us such a great opportunity to be the volunteer because I think to be a volunteer is not an easy task and I hope that my classmate and I performed our duties in a systematic way.
November 30, 2018, was the day when our school organized a grand event, Deerwalk Sifal Night II. the pre-primary grades i.e. grade 1 and 2 were volunteering the event. The Program started at 3:30 pm and ended at 6:30 pm. The parents of grade 3 to 6 came to the event. The volunteers of grade 10 were divided into a different category like participants watcher, calling participants, stage curtain volunteers, mic volunteers, etc. I was volunteering the students of grade 3 helping them to change their dresses and do their makeup. The program includes performance like dance, music, Yoga, drama, fashion show etc. Chinese literature, Sanskrit department, dance club, music club also had their performances. On October 8th, 2018, we, students of grade 8 and 9 got the opportunity to learn about ‘Google’ on a Parent Talk Show Programme from Mr. Sagun Dhungana. We learned that Google is a search engine and we can get all sorts of information on Google. Google utilizes the information shared by sites and applications to deliver data to us. Google is one of the biggest search engine on the World Wide Web(WWW) handling more than three billion searches each day. Google's main objective is to organize the worldwide information and make it universally available and accessible to each and every corner of the world. Without search engines like Google, it is practically hard and failing to find any information on the internet. We also got a chance to know about ‘Web Crawling’. It is processed by which Google bot searches for new and apprised sites to add it to the Google Index. We use a huge set of servers to fetch( or crawl) billions of pages on the web. The program that performs this fetching is called Spider. Google knows a lot of things about you than you think it does. Once we become part of the global citizens, the world recognizes us and we are connected to the whole world. The global citizen is basically someone who identifies with being part of an emerging world community and whose actions contribute to building this community’s values and practices. Today, the forces of global engagement are helping some people to identify themselves as global citizens who have a sense of belonging to the world community. Google just connects our answer by crawling and this is the way by which we can know what is happening out there in the world. We cannot always say the Google is right in many ways and it can present itself to be wrong. Mainly it cannot be trusted with keeping our information private. So coming up to this point, we really got to know so much about a search engine. The results that are displayed are generally presented in a line of results often referred to as search engine result pages. The information provided by search engines might collective include images, videoes, web pages and other different formats of data. So these were the things that we learned from the Parent Talk Show Programme explained by Mr.Sagun Dhungana.

Well, talking about the program, it was really awesome. The different performances by dance club, music club, drama club, Chinese class, and yoga club were hilarious. Fashion show was my personal favourite. Their dresses and makeups were mesmerizing. It was too good and the theme, ‘Save earth and save the environment’ was very unique.
Overall, the program was phenomenal. The decorations and the chair arrangements made the program look more beautiful. As a volunteer, we all did our best to turn the program into a great success. It was overall a good experience.
Today I woke up at 6 AM. My sister was also sleeping by my side. I woke her up too. Then I went to the bathroom and brushed my teeth. I opened the laptop so that I could be updated. I opened the messenger and read the messages sent by my friends and relatives. Suddenly, I remembered that we were going to celebrate Literacy day at our school. I was excited as well as nervous. I opened my bookcase and took the book” Karnali Blues” straight away. I had to write a book talk on it. I searched for some of the important points on Karnali Blues. I listed them out in my notebook. I then went downstairs to have breakfast. My mom and dad were already in the kitchen. My dad was scrolling the news feed while my mom was cooking an omelette for me. I had an omelette and then got ready for school.
I dressed up and my dad took me and my sister to school. I entered the class room. My classmates were already there. I shared them a little about literacy day. Our regular classes ran till second period. We then had a five minutes break. Our class advisor, Mr. Tej Kafle entered our class. He asked us to discuss about the plans we made with our group partners. Following his instructions, we discussed about the topic. We then went to get the necessary equipments for the event.
I along with my group members decorated the chart paper with borders, and worked on the plot and the setting of the novel “Karnali Blues” At around 2:20 PM, we were ready with our work. We went to the ground. The stalls were ready with the grade name specified. We stuck our chart paper on the bench.
We presented our project to the teachers and some students of our school. We had lots of fun presenting the project. Finally, the bell rang. We took our bags from our class room and proceeded to our home.
Practising a little bit the night before, I slept at 11 PM. In the morning. I woke up at 6 AM, got refreshed, had breakfast, got ready for school and waited for the school van to pick me up. When I reached school, one of my friends was already there waiting for everyone to arrive. We two sat on the chair and waited for everyone to come.
After a while, we were summoned by our music teacher in the music room. We were instructed not to go outside, so we sat there playing games and listening to the music. We got bored after some time and went downstairs. We saw that everyone was busy preparing for the program. We then went to grade nine and engaged ourselves in a little bit of chitchat. Then at once we again decided to practice. We headed to the music room and practiced for a while. It was then time for lunch. We had a great plan to go outside and eat so all of us with happy faces went to get permission. But sadly, it was denied and had lunch at school. Later, when the program started, we were said to be in one group. After some time, it was our turn to perform so we proceeded to the stage. We tuned on all the instruments and performed our level best. The program was overall a good one. After the program was over, I went home with my parents.
