Outdoor games are usually played outside and are important for growing children. There are many outdoor games, such as football, basketball, cricket, dodgeball, and baseball, that contribute to our health, social skills, and physical flexibility. Playing in a group adds an element of interest to these games, making them not only enjoyable but also beneficial for our overall well-being.
Engaging in outdoor games helps children become more socialised and disciplined. It encourages them to follow rules, promotes physical fitness, and contributes to the development of bones and muscles. Additionally, outdoor games enhance blood circulation, maintaining the health of our brains and bodies.
In my opinion, outdoor games are essential in our daily lives because they contribute to our physical fitness, boost self-confidence, and aid in overall well-being. Playing fair in a team or group setting is emphasised, fostering a sense of sportsmanship.
Also, playing outside games is super important for a child’s brain to grow and for them to become strong and smart. When they play outside, they learn to do things on their own and get the exercise their bodies need. So, playing outside games helps children in every way—it makes them strong, helps them make friends, and makes their brains work better.
आमा एक मात्र त्यस्ताे अभिभावक हुनुहुन्छ जसले हामीलाई जन्म दिनुहुन्छ र हाम्राे हेरचाह गर्नुहुन्छ । बच्चालाई खुवाउने, नुहाउने, लुगा लगाउने जिम्मा आमाको हुन्छ । आमा हाम्रो जीवनको सबैभन्दा महत्त्वपूर्ण व्यक्ति हुन् । जसले हामीलाई नौ महिनासम्म पेटमा राखेर जन्म दिनुभएको हो । आमा भगवानकाे अर्काे रूप हुन् । हाम्रो पहिलो शिक्षक आमा हुनुहुन्छ । उहाँले हामीलाई राम्राे शिक्षा दिनुहुन्छ । उहाँले हामीलाई समाजकाे असल नागरिक बनाउनुहुन्छ । आमाले हामीलाई बोल्न, खेल्न, हिँड्न सिकाउनु भएको हो । आमाले हाम्रो मनको चाहना बुझेर पूरा गरिदिनुहुन्छ । आमाले दुःख गरी हामीलाई खाना र हाम्राे लागि महत्त्वपूर्ण सामग्री ल्याउनुहुन्छ । आमा हामी सबैको जीवनमा एउटा महत्त्वपूर्ण महिला हुनुहुन्छ ।आमाले दिनरात आफ्ना बच्चाहरू र परिवारका अन्य सदस्यहरूकाे हरेक इच्छाकाे ख्याल राख्नुहुन्छ । आमाले परिवारकाे देखभाल गर्ने, खाना पकाउने, घरको सरसफाइ गर्ने, घर सिँगार्ने काम गर्नुहुन्छ । आमाले हामीलाई निःस्वार्थ माया गर्नुहुन्छ । त्यसैले हामीले आमालाई माया र सम्मान गर्नुपर्छ ।
प्राकृतिक स्रोत भनेको प्रकृतिमा पाइने कुरा हुन् । प्राकृतिक स्रोतहरूमा प्रकाश, हावा, पानी, बोटबिरुवा, माटो, ढुङ्गा, खनिज र इन्धनहरू पर्छन् । हामी मानिस पनि प्रकृतिका उपज हाैँ । मानिसहरूलाई जीवित रहन केही प्राकृतिक स्रोतहरू चाहिन्छ। मानिसहरू आफ्नो जीवन राम्रो बनाउन अरूलाई प्रयोग गर्छन् । पृथ्वीमा हरेक ठाउँमा प्राकृतिक स्रोतहरू रहेका छन् । केही देशमा धेरै तेल, कुनै देशमा हिरा पाइन्छ भने कुनै देशहरूमा प्रशस्त माटो र बाक्ला जङ्गलहरू छन् तर थोरै खनिजहरू छन् । सबैभन्दा धनी देशहरू प्रायः सबैभन्दा धेरै प्राकृतिक स्रोतहरू भएका देशहरू हुन् । तिनीहरू धनी छन् किनभने तिनीहरूले आफ्नो प्राकृतिक स्रोतहरू अन्य देशहरूलाई बेच्ने गर्छन् । मानिसहरूलाई बाँच्नको लागि आवश्यक पर्ने धेरै कुराहरू प्राकृतिक स्रोतहरूमा पाइन्छ । सूर्यको किरण, पानी र हावा जस्ता नवीकरणीय स्रोतहरू प्रयोग गर्न सकिँदैन तर अझै पनि धेरैलाई डर लाग्ने कुरा के हो भने मानिसले संसारको प्राकृतिक सम्पदा नष्ट गरिरहेको छ । मानिसले खेतीपाती गर्दैनन् । वनजङ्गल फडानी गरिरहेका छन् । त्यहाँ उपलब्ध जनावरहरू पनि दिनानुदिन हराउँदै गएका छन् । दैनिक कारखानाहरूले हरेक दिन ठुलो मात्रामा तेल प्रयोग गर्छन् किनभने यसले हावा, पानी र माटोलाई प्रदूषित गर्ने विषाक्त रसायनहरू पनि छोड्छ । त्यसैले एक जीवित प्राणीको रूपमा हामीले प्राकृतिक स्राेतलाई सुरक्षित राखेर संरक्षण गर्न आवश्यक छ । हाम्राे देश नेपालमा विभिन्न प्रकारका प्राकृतिक स्राेतहरू पाइन्छन् । हिमाल, पहाड, खाेला, नदी, झरना, ताल, हरिया वनजङ्गल आदि प्राकृतिक स्राेतहरूले नेपाललाई सुन्दर बनाएका छन् । प्राकृतिक स्राेतहरूकाे संरक्षण गर्नु हामी सबैकाे कर्तव्य हाे ।
It was the last day at school before the winter vacation. As soon as I reached home, I put my bag and ran out to play cricket with my friends. I played for a long time that day because I didn’t have to worry about submitting my homeworks the next day. I slept until 8o’clock in the morning throughout my vacation. I enjoyed my time at my maternal uncle’s home. I also had a lot of sweets and different types of laddus on Maghe Sakranti. I enjoyed basking in the sun and playing with my siblings.
I enjoyed my winter vacation.

दसैँ हिन्दूहरूको सबैभन्दा ठुलो चाड हो । यो चाडमा दुर्गा भवानीको पूजा गरिन्छ । यो चाड लाई नवरात्रि र बडादसैँ पनि भनिन्छ । नेपालमा यो चाड निकै हर्षका साथ मनाइन्छ । दसैँको पहिलो दिन घटस्थापना हो । पहिलो दिन आआफ्नो घरकाे पूजाकोठामा जमरा राखेर दसैँको सुरुवात गरिन्छ । हरेक दिन बिहान दुर्गाभवानी र जमराको पूजा गरिन्छ । दसैँको पहिलो दिनदेखि नवौँ दिनसम्मलाई नौरथा पनि भनिन्छ । उक्त नौ दिन विभिन्न देवीको मन्दिरहरूमा भक्तजनहरूको भिड लाग्ने गर्दछ । दसैँको सातौँ दिनलाई सप्तमी भनिन्छ । यस दिन घरघरमा फूलपाती भित्र्याएर मनाइन्छ । दसैँको अन्तिम दिन विजयादशमी हो । यस दिनमा आफूभन्दा ठुलाको हातबाट टीका र जमरा लगाएर आशीर्वाद ग्रहण गरिन्छ । दसैँमा सबै परिवार जम्मा भएर मिठा मिठा परिकार खाने, पिङ खेल्ने र चङ्गा उडाएर रमाइलाे गरिन्छ । दसैँ पर्व महिषासुर नामको दानवले भगवानलाई दुःख दिएकोले देवीको नौवटा रुपले त्यो दानवसँग नौ दिन लडेर बडादसैँको दिन विजय पाएकोले यो चाड मनाइएकाे मानिन्छ । दसैँ साँच्चिकै आनन्दको चाड हो । यो चाडमा नेपालभरका अड्डा अदालत बन्द रहन्छन् । नयाँनयाँ लुगा र गहना सबैले लगाएका देखिन्छन् । विदेशमा बसेका मानिसहरू पनि यो चाडमा आफ्नो घर आउँछन् । दशमीको दिनदेखि टीका उत्सव मनाइन्छ । यो टीका पूर्णिमासम्म रहन्छ । हिन्दुहरूका लागि दसैँ ठुलो चाड हो ।
खेल्ने र कुद्ने कामलाई खेलकुद भनिन्छ । हाम्रो जीवनमा खेलकुदको अति आवश्यकता छ। खेलकुदले शरीर स्वस्थ बनाउनुका साथै खेल व्यवसायमा लाग्न प्रेरित गर्छ । शरीर तन्दुरुस्त राख्न खेलकुदको ठुलो भूमिका खेल्छ । खेलकुदले काम गर्ने शरीरका हरेक अङ्ग सबल हुन्छन् । खेल्ल खेल्दा शरीर स्वस्थ र निरोगी हुन्छ । खेलले हामीलाइ अनुशासनमा बस्न सिकाउँछ । खेल खेल्दा हामी तनावबाट मुक्त हुन्छाैँ । हाम्राे मनमा फुर्तिलाेपन आउँछ । काम गर्न जाँगर लाग्छ । कुनै खेल घरबाहिर खेलिन्छ भने कुनै घरभित्र खेलिन्छ जस्तै: फुटबल, लुकमारी ब्याटमिन्टन, बास्केटबल, कपर्दी आदि घरबाहिर खेलिन्छ । चेस, लुडाे, क्यारेमबाेर्ड, आदि खेल घरभित्र खेलिन्छ । खेल खेल्नु स्वास्थकाे लागि राम्रो हो । त्यसैले हामीले नियमित रूपमा खेल खेल्नुपर्छ ।
I like eating fruits. They are good for health and skin. We get different fruits according to the seasons. They are called seasonal fruits. We can get a lot of vitamins and minerals from fruit. These vitamins and minerals help in the body building process. Doctors suggest having fruits each day. Different fruits have their own benefits.
We should also make sure that we do not eat a lot of fruits at once because our body might be unable to digest them.
I eat all kinds of fruits but I enjoy eating bananas, watermelon and avocado the most.
When the third-term exams finished on the 20th of Poush, winter vacation began. I was excited about enjoying the winter break. My mother's college also had a winter vacation at the same time, so we decided to go to Chitwan. With my aunt accompanying us, it made things easier, as she promised to take us to various places.
I was so eager that I woke up early on the morning of our trip. We travelled by tourist bus. However, there was a dispute between the bus owner and the passengers because the owner had falsely claimed that the bus had air conditioning, which it didn't. This led to a confrontation with the owner, and I wondered why he had lied to everyone.
When we arrived, we stayed at my aunt's home. I visited the Narayani River side, where I witnessed a beautiful Aarati ceremony. The next day, we went boating on the river, and though I was both frightened and excited due to the river's depth, it turned out to be a lot of fun.
One day, we visited the Sauraha National Park, which turned out to be the best day of our trip. We experienced a jungle safari and an elephant safari and took lots of photos. We saw various wild animals, like deer, rhinos, elephants, and tigers, as well as numerous birds. An elephant even blessed my brother and me. We spent the evening moving around, enjoying the night view, and participating in a delightful campfire and barbecue.
Another day, we visited the C.G. temple, which was different and more significant than the temples I had seen before. Besides the religious atmosphere, there was a park to enjoy. I asked my guide to show me a lion, but he informed me that there were no lions in Nepal.
On a different morning, we went to Devghatdham. I was amazed when I saw Sita Cave, which was very peaceful. Nearby, the Kaligandaki River was flowing, and we enjoyed a vegetarian lunch without onion, garlic, and tomato, which was surprisingly tasty. On our last day, we went shopping in the market, but I found that clothes were more expensive there than in Kathmandu.
After a week, when I returned, I missed my father every moment because he couldn't join us due to his busy schedule during the Poush Masanta. Upon my return, the first thing I did was meet my father and give him a hug. That's how I spent my winter vacation, which was truly enjoyable.
गत शनिबार म फुर्सदमा थिएँ । मलाई के गरौँ के गरौँ भइरहेको थियो । आमाबुबा बिहानदेखि मिठा मिठा बास्ना आउने गरी भान्सामा खाना बनाइरहनुभएको थियो । खाना पनि पाकेको थिएन । इन्टरनेट पनि थिएन । मैले आफ्ना गृहकार्य सबै गरिसकेकाे थिएँ । एकचोटि बार्दलीमा गएर मेरो छिमेकीको घर हेरेँ । त्यहाँ त कति धेरै बाेटबिरुवा लगाइएका रहेछन् । मैले आफ्नो घर वरिपरि हेरेँ । मैले केही बोटबिरुवाहरू देखिनँ । हामीले पनि बोटबिरुवा लगाउनु पर्छ भन्ने मैले सोचेँ । त्यसपछि मैले आमालाई हाम्रो घर वरिपरि पनि रुख बिरुवा लगाउन अनुरोध गरेँ । आमा पनि मेरो कुरा सुनेर खुसी हुनुभयो अनि हामी दुवैजना मिलेर हामीले विभिन्न फलफूल र फूलहरूका बिरुवा ल्याएर आफ्नो घर वरिपरिको खाली जग्गामा रोप्यौँ । त्यसपछि मैले बोटबिरुवामा पानी हालेर अनावश्यक झारहरू टिपेर फालेँ । केही दिनपछि हाम्राे घरवरिपरि पनि छिमेकीको घर जस्तै हरियाली र सुन्दर देखियो । यो मेरो बोटबिरुवासँगको पहिलो अनुभव हो । हामीले आफ्नो घर वरिपरि बोटबिरुवा राेप्याैँ भने हाम्राे घर पनि सुन्दर देखिने रहेछ भन्ने कुरा मैले बुझेँ ।
सबैका फरक फरक रुचि र बानीहरू हुन्छन् । मेरा पनि केही रुचि र बानीहरू छन् । मेरो रुचि फुटबल खेलमा, गितार बजाउन, पढ्न, लेख्न र गीत गाउनमा छ । म बिहान चाँडै उठ्छु । ओछ्यान मिलाउँछु र मुख धुन्छ । केही समय याेग गर्छु । त्यसपछि एकछिन पढ्छु । भान्साकाेठामा गएर आमालाई काममा सघाउँछु । एकछिन फुटबल खेल्छु । म गितार पनि बजाउँछु । खाना खान्छु र स्कुल जान्छु । म मेरा मामा, माइजू काका, काकीलाई नमस्ते गर्छु । घरमा आएका र बाटाेमा हिँड्दा भेट भएका आफन्तहरूलाई अभिवादन गर्छु । स्कुल पुगेर पढ्छु । गुरु र गुरुआमाले दिनुभएकाे सबै काम गर्छु । साथीहरूसँग मिलेर पढ्ने र खेल्ने गर्छु । म घर गएपछि लुगा फेरेर गृहकार्य गर्छु । गृहकार्य सकेपछि घरको काममा आमा बुबालाई सघाउँछु । केही समय ल्यापटप हेरेपछि साँझ १० बजे सुत्छु ।
Television is an electronic device used for entertainment and communication. We also call it TV. Television can be a good source of entertainment and information for people. Many programmes are shown on TV which are informative and useful. But, we need to learn to filter the programmes because some of them are not useful and might kill our time unnecessarily.
Watching too much TV can also hamper our eyesight. This can also hamper our daily schedule. We should watch TV in a moderate way.
