मेरो नाम मानश्वी निरौला हो ।  म कक्षा चारमा पढ्छु । मलाई मेरो विद्यालय धेरै मन पर्छ । यहाँ पढाइका साथै धेरै अतिरिक्त क्रियाकलापहरू हुन्छन् । पाठ्‍यक्रमका किताबबाहेक हरेक महिनामा हुने मासिक अध्ययन मेरो धेरै मन पर्ने विषयवस्तु हो । हामी प्रत्येक महिना नेपाली र अङ्ग्रेजी भाषाका दुई किताब पढ्छौँ । यी किताबहरूमा निकै रोचक र राम्रा कथाहरू हुन्छन् । हामीले कथा पढिसकेपछि कथाको बिस्तृत रुपमा सबै पक्षको अध्ययन गर्नुपर्छ । जसमध्ये मन पर्ने चित्रको वर्णन, नयाँ शब्दभन्डार र कठिन शब्दको अर्थ, कथावस्तु, असल पात्र, खराब पात्र, परिवेश आदिको वर्णन गर्नुपर्छ । यसरी मासिक पुस्तक अभिलेख तयार पार्न नेपाली कथाको लागि तेजप्रसाद काफ्ले सर र अङ्ग्रेजी कथाको  लागि साम्यो हाङ्गमा राई म्यामले सहयोग गर्नुहुन्छ । यसरी कथा पढेर पुस्तक अभिलेख तयार पार्दा कथाको सम्पूर्ण पक्षको ज्ञान बढ्ने गरेको छ । यसरी मासिक पुस्तक अध्ययनले गर्दा मेरो किताब बढ्ने बानीको विकास भएको छ ।  नयाँ नयाँ शब्द र अर्थमा पनि निकै विकास भएकाे छ  । किताबहरू शुद्ध र स्पष्टसँग पढ्न सक्ने भएको छु । चित्रहरूको राम्ररी वर्णन गरेर लेख्‍न सक्ने भएकी छु । नयाँ नयाँ कथा सुन्न र पढ्न धेरै मन लाग्छ त्यसैले विद्यालयले दिने भन्दा बाहेक अरु पनि नयाँ किताबहरू किनेर पढ्छु । मसँग अहिले धेरै कथाका किताबहरू छन् । अहिले म प्राय: जसकाे जन्मदिनमा पनि कथाका किताबहरू उपहार दिने गर्छु र मलाई मेरो जन्मदिनको बेला किताब उपहार पाउँदा ज्यादै खुसी लाग्छ । मासिक पुस्तकका कथाहरूमा निकै ज्ञानका कुराहरू सिक्न पाइन्छ । 

My name is Tanishq Shakya and I am 12 years old. I live in Chabahil, Kutubahal. It has been many months since we have been staying at home. Even in our greatest festival; Dashain, we stayed home all day long. We hardly visited any places. Now, I am going to say how I celebrated my Dashain. Let’s begin with the first day of Dashain, Ghatasthapana.

First day of Dashain (Ghatasthapana):

On the first day of Dashain, I was at my maternal uncle’s house. In the morning my grandmother had planted jamara then I went for my online classes from 9:30 am till 1:30 pm. After the class, I researched about Dashain in google and collected some information. Then I started doing my homework.

Second day of Dashain:

Second day of Dashain was not very special, I took online classes, did homework and wrote an article. I also helped my sister to plant jamara in her class. 

Third day of Dashain:

Dashain’s third day was also not very special, I took online classes, did homework and wrote an article. I also made a presentation for my DSS Talk which was after Dashain vacation. I also watched television.

Fourth day of Dashain:

The fourth day was not that good. I did the same thing that I did on the third day.  I took online classes, did homework, played some games, and watched television. I also flew a kite.

Fifth day of Dashain

From the fifth day of dashain my vacation had begun, I listened to songs then I wrote an article. I also made a presentation for my DSS Talk and I watched television.

Sixth day of Dashain

Sixth day of Dashain was not a very special day. I watched Television. That day I returned home.

Seventh Day of Dashain (Fulpati)

On fulpati, I went out with my father and sister. I saw many people carrying something, I also saw some police. We came back home and did puja.

Eight Day of Dashain (Astami)

On Astami, we did the puja of swords and knives at home. We also washed the vehicles for puja on Nawami. We had a lot of fun.

Ninth day of Dashain (Nawami)

We did puja of the vehicles and things we used the most. After puja, I went out and visited a few temples.  That day some ladies and my relatives did my puja and gave me gifts. I was very excited.

Tenth day of Dashain (Dashami)

On the Tenth day of Dashain I put a tika and jamara. I got blessings from my elders. I also got some money. We also ate samay baji; a delicious Newari food. It was a really enjoyable day.

Dashain is also called as Bijaya Dasami. We celebrate Dashain for fifteen days. The first day of Dashain is called Ghatasthapana. We grow jamara in Ghatasthapana. As days passed by, regular rituals are observed till the seventh day. The seventh day is called Fulpati. In Fulpati the royal kalash is filled with holy water, banana stalks, jamara and sugar cane tied with red cloth is carried by Brahmans on a decorated palanquin under a gold tipped and embroidered umbrella. The eighth day is called Maha Ashtami. In Maha Ashtami we do pooja of Goddess Durga and we also do pooja of vehicles. 

We have read several books in our life. All of us have a specific author who can bring joy in our life. We all love them for different reasons; whether it is for liking their way of writing or the characters they make. My favorite author is Roald Dahl.

First I read books by Enid Blyton. But, later, as I started to read Roald Dahl’s book, he became my favorite author. Sooner, I got to know about his personal life. His birth, death, books he had written, prizes he had won, his family life and many more. Also, our English teacher made us research on Roald Dahl when we read, ‘James and the Giant Peach.’ 

I like Roald Dahl for his sense of humor and creativity. The illustrations in his books always fascinate me. The funny characters with their unique personalities are delightful to read. Roald Dahl has a way with words. His language is so simple yet so different, that it makes it easy for children to understand what he is trying to convey.

Moreover, all of his books had lessons worth learning. Everyone must read at least one Roald Dahl’s book for sheer joy. In addition, we must suggest children to read his books for exciting adventures full of giants, witches, trots, chocolate factories and more. The illustrations in Roald Dahl’s books make it even more interesting to read them. It’s often illustrated by Quentin Blake.  His books are relevant even today and the lessons still apply to this world and will do forever.
 

Internet helps us to connect with our friends, family and relatives from any corner of the world and also gives us access to information. The Internet also helps us to research and know what is happening around the world. There are many advantages and disadvantages of the internet. If we use the internet wisely and carefully, it will lead us to our success but if we don’t know how to use the internet properly or misuse it or use it carelessly then it will lead us to our downfall. 

Through the internet we get to know about many things and we can research on several topics. For instance, we can know what is happening in the world during this pandemic. Though there is lockdown everywhere due to the pandemic of COVID-19, we have been able to study through online classes with the help of the internet. Due to the help of the internet, we are able to meet friends daily even in this pandemic.

There are many advantages of the internet even though there are some disadvantages. Like everything in the world has a positive and negative part there are positive and negative parts of the internet as well.

In our case, we learn through the internet. That’s a good thing the internet has done, but if suddenly the internet gets disconnected then we miss the class. Then we have no option but to wait for the internet to come back. When finally the internet is back we miss the rest of the class, classwork and the things taught by the teacher. So this makes the internet not reliable despite its advantages. There are many more disadvantages of the internet. For example: Cyber crime, hacking, access to inappropriate sites etc.

To prevent ourselves from the negative side of the internet, we must be more careful while using the internet. We must not give anyone the password of our facebook ,email etc. If we have given anyone the password mistakenly then we must change it. These things help us to use the internet securely.  

Internet has made the world as a one village. We can visit the world by sitting in a room with the help of the internet. Internet has many advantages but could be a distraction if we misuse it. 

 मेरो नाम  युजिन गुरुङ हाे ।  म  सिफल सेकेन्डरी स्कुलमा कक्षा ४  म पढ्छु । म स्वयम्भूमा बस्छु ।  मलाई सबैभन्दा मन पर्ने ठाउँ मेरो मामाघर हो । मेरो मामाघर  असनमा छ ।  मलाई मामाघर  धेरै मन पर्छ ।  मेरो मामघरमा मेरा मामा, माइजू, हजुरबुबा, हजुरआमा दाजु दिदीहरू हुनुहुन्छ । मलाई मामाघरमा सबैजनाले धेरै माया गर्नुहुन्छ ।  मलाई हजुरआमाले  मिठामिठा  खानेकुरा बनाएर खुवाउनुहुन्छ ।  मामाले रमाइलो ठाउँमा घुमाउन  लैजानुहुन्छ ।  मलाई मेरो हजुरबुबाले रमाइला कथा कविताहरू सुनाउनुहुन्छ ।  मामाले धेरै ज्ञान गुनका कुराहरू सिकाउनुहुन्छ ।  म मेरो मामासँग गितार बजाउन सिक्छु ।  मेरो मामा घर नजिकै इन्द्रजात्राको समयमा रथ तान्ने जात्रा हुन्छ ।  जात्रा हेर्न मलाई रमाइलो लाग्छ । इन्द्रजात्रामा पुलुकेसी, लाखे नाचेको कुमारीको,  गणेशको रथ, भैरवको र अनि अरू थुप्रै नाचहरू पनि देखाइन्छ ।  मैले आफ्नो मामाघरमा  धेरै संस्कृतिका कुराहरू पनि सिक्न  पाउँछु ।  अहिले मलाई मायाघर जान निकै मन पर्छ र धेरै समय मामा कै घरमा बस्न मन लाग्छ । 

कोरोना भाइरस मानिसबाट मानिसमा सर्ने सरुवा हो । सुरुमा यो राेग चिनकाे बुहानमा देखिएको थियो । याे राेग चमेरोबाट मानिसमा सरेको विश्वास गरिन्छ । चिनको विभिन्न राज्य हुँदै संसारभरि फैलियो । अहिले यो रोग महामारीको रुपमा मानिन्छ । धेरै मानिसहरू संक्रमित भइसकेका छन् । याे राेगबाट धेरै मानिसहरू मरिसकेका छन् । यो रोग छिमेकी देश भारत हुँदै नेपालमा भित्रियो । अहिले एक कराेडाैँ मानिस सङ्क्रमित भइसकेका छन्  भने निको पनि धेरै भइसकेका छन् ।

यसका लक्षणहरु १०४ ज्वराे आउनु,सास फेर्न गाह्रो हुनु, रुघाखोकी लाग्नु अादि हुन् । यसबाट बच्न हामीले नियमित रुपमा साबुन पानीले मिचीमिची हात धुनुपर्छ । यदि लक्षण देखिएमा तुरुन्त डाक्टरसँग सल्लाह लिनुपर्छ । खाेक्दा हाच्छ्यूँ गर्दा नाक मुख छोप्नुपर्छ। घरबाहिर जाँदा माक्स लगाउनुपर्छ । मानिससँगको दुरी २ मिटर कायम गर्नुपर्छ ।

हलेशी महादेव नेपालको खोटाङ जिल्लामा रहेकाे  छ जसलाई हलेसी-मराटिका-गुफाहरू पनि भनेर चिनिन्छ। हलेशी महादेव नेपालको प्रसिद्ध मन्दिर मध्ये एक हो। यो मन्दिर प्राकृतिक रूपमा निर्माण गरिएको छ। यसलाई पूर्वको पशुपतिनाथ पनि भनिन्छ। यो मन्दिर हिन्दु र बौद्धहरूको पवित्र तीर्थस्थल हो।

हलेसी महादेव शिवसँग सम्बन्धित मन्दिर हो। यो विश्वास गरिन्छ कि मन्दिरभित्र, हलेसी गुफा बास बस्नकाे लागि प्रयोग गरिएको थियो। यस गुफाको स्थान दुधकोसी र सुनकोसीजस्ता  पवित्र नदीहरूकाे बिचमा छ। यस गुफामा विभिन्न समारोह र उत्सवको आयोजना  गरिन्छ । 

महाशिवरात्रि, चतुर्थी आदि  विशेष अवसरमा विभिन्न मेला लाग्छ । 

यो एक प्रसिद्ध पर्यटनस्थल  हो। यसको प्रवेशद्वार आधा चन्द्रमाको आकारको छ र पूर्वतिर फर्किएको छ। यस ठाउँको मौसम चिसो छ। यस मन्दिर र गुफामा मानिसहरू प्राकृतिक सौन्दर्यको पूजा र आनन्द लिन आउँछन्। 

गन्तव्य त गन्तव्य नै हो 
मेरो निर्दोष बुझाइमा
 तर रोँकिदैन  यात्रा
खुट्टाहरूले
 गर्न थाले शंका
 किनकी
 म एक
 कलिली बालिका ।

छाडेकी छैन अझै दुख गर्नलाई
अझै पनि
 कति गर्नु छ संघर्ष 
अगाडि  आउलान्
 घाम, पानी,हुरि, बतास, झरी अनि बाढी पहिरो
 तर पनि थाक्ने छैन मेरो हिँडाइ
 कुनै दिन भेटिएला कि मेरो गन्तव्य
  केबल मेराे गन्तव्य  ।
 

पृथ्वीनारायण शाह गोरखाका राजा  नरभुपाल शाह तथा रानी कौसल्यावतीका छोरा थिए। वि.सं. १७७९ पौष २७ गते बिहिबार यिनको जन्म भएको थियो । उनी बाल्यकालदेखि नै अत्यन्तै शूरवीर, तेजवीर, बुद्धिमान् तथा मेहनती थिए। सुरूदेखि नै उनलाई रामायण, महाभारत र पछि गएर शुक्रनीतिको ज्ञान दिइएको थियो। धनुवाण, तरबार, घोडसवारी,. दौड आदिमा पनि उनी निपूर्ण थिए। यिनले स-साना राज्यहरूमा बाँडिएका बाइसे तथा चौबिसे राज्यहरूलाई एकत्रित गरी एउटै देशको सृजना गरे। यिनी आधुनिक नेपालको राष्ट्रनिर्माताको रूपमा चिनिन्छन्। यिनको सम्झनामा पुष २७ गते नेपालमा राष्ट्रिय एकता दिवस मनाउने गरिन्छ।  

नेपाल दुई ढुङ्गाबिचको तरुल जस्तो रहेछ। दक्षिणको बादशाह महाचतुर रहेछ। जाइकटक नगर्नु, झिकी कटक गर्नु। नेपाल चार वर्ण, छत्तिस जातको साझा फूलबारी हो।" इत्यादि सान्दर्भिक उपदेशहरू पृथ्वीनारायण शाहले दिएका थिए। वि.सं. १८३१  माघ १ गते५२ वर्षको उमेरमा  ठेउला आएर नुवाकोट जिल्लामा पर्ने त्रिशुली र तादी नदीको सङ्गम देवीघाटमा उनको मृत्यु भयो।

बच्चा जन्मेको छैटौँ दिनको दिन छैटी गरिन्छ ।  त्यसदिन साँझपख बत्ती बालेर बच्चाको पूजा गरिन्छ ।  यस्तो काम गरेमा बच्चा भाग्यमानी हुन्छ भन्ने विश्वास पनि रहिआएको छ ।  बच्चा जन्मेको एघार दिनमा न्वारन गरिन्छ ।  त्यसदिन बच्चाको नाम राख्ने काम हुन्छ ।  मानिस जन्मेको छैटाैँ  महिनामा पास्नी  हुन्छ ।  त्यसदिन बच्चाले पहिलोपटक भात खान्छ । छोरी ठूली भएपछि  गुन्यु चोलो लगाउनुपर्ने कारणले गुन्युचोली दिन्छन् र आशीर्वाद पनि दिन्छन् ।  छोरा अलिa ठुलो भएपछि व्रतबन्ध गर्ने चलन छ ।  त्यसदिन जसको व्रतबन्ध हुन्छ उसले कपाल मुण्डन गरी जनै लगाउने काम हुन्छ र त्यसको लागि  भव्य तरिकाले पूजा पनि गरिन्छ । केटाहरूले व्रतबन्ध नगर्दासम्म विवाह गर्नुहुँदैन भन्ने चलन पनि रहेको छ। जब केटाकेटी २० वर्षको उमेरभन्दा माथि लाग्छन् त्यसपछाडि विवाह गर्ने चलन छ ।  जब मानिस ८४ वर्षको हुन्छ त्यसपछाडि चौरासी पूजा गर्ने भन्ने चलन छ । ८४ पूजाको बेलामा मानिसले ८४ जना बाहुन, कलश, बत्ती, लगायत सबै प्रकारका सामग्रीहरू  ८४ वटा नै तयार गर्छन् र पूजा गरेर पैसामा जोखिने चलन पनि छ । जब मानिसको मृत्यु हुन्छ त्यसलाई अन्त्यष्टि पनि भनिन्छ ।  अन्त्येष्टि गरिसकेपछि उनीहरूका छोराछोरीले श्राद्ध कर्म गर्ने काम गर्छन् ।

Moon

The moon is the most important heavenly body in the night sky and it is also brightest but it doesn’t give off its own light. It is actually reflecting the light given by the sun. Sometimes, the moon appears to change its shape but it is only because the sun is lighting different parts of it. When the moon passes through the earth’s shadow and the earth comes right between the sun and the full moon it’s called a “lunar eclipse”. This is when the moon is dimmed and it turns dark. There is no water and air on the moon so there can’t be any life. At night the temperature on the surface of the moon becomes colder than any place on the face of the earth but during the day the rocks are only slightly hotter than of boiling water. The moon doesn’t have an atmosphere and no water. In the entire solar system, the moon is the fifth largest satellite.
