Sifal Secondary School organized Back to School Night on 24th May 2019. The parents of the students were invited to participate in the event. All of the parents took classes of different subjects in the respective classes of their children. Class representatives guided the parents to the classes. Parents took part in different events such as drama, dance, art, etc. The guardians had interactions with each other after their classes were over. We, class representatives, as well as parents, enjoyed the event a lot.
Lumbini is a Buddhist pilgrimage site in Rupandehi District of Province 5 in Nepal. According to Buddhist tradition, it is the place where queen Mahamaya Devi gave birth to Prince Siddhartha Gautama in 563 BCE. Gautama, who achieved Enlightenment sometime around 528 BCE, became the Buddha and founded Buddhism. According to Buddhism, Lord Buddha has taken seven steps when Lord Buddha was born. Lumbini is one of many magnets for pilgrimage that sprang up in places pivotal to the life of the Buddha.
Gautama Buddha, a holy person in Buddhism was born in Lumbini, Nepal about 2500 years. He is the primary figure in Buddhism. His actual name is Siddhartha Gautam. His father was king Suddhodhan. He is the person who started to find peace in the world. He is the founder of peace. His followers are called Buddhists. There are many Buddhists in Nepal and abroad as well.
Nepal is one of the most famous countries in the world. I love my country Nepal. It is a popular country. There are many hills and mountains. In my country, there is the highest peak in the world i.e, Sagarmatha. The national animal is a cow, national color is crimson and national flower is rhododendron. They celebrate different festivals like Dashain, Tihar, Holi, Teej, and many other festivals. There are 77 districts and 14 zones. The population of my country is three million people. The martyrs of our country are Gangalal Shrestha, Dharma Bhakta Mathema, Dashrath Chand and Shukraraj Shastri. They sacrificed their lives for the sake of their country.
My maternal uncle organized a trip to Dolkha and Kalinchowk. First of all, we all gathered at New Road gate with our belongings. Then by bus, we moved to Dolakha. We prepared breakfast and lunch at the bank of Sunkoshi river. In about 2 hours, we reached there and stayed at a hotel in Dolakha. We visited Dolakha Bhimsen. After returning from there, we had our dinner and we slept. Early in the morning, we got ready for going Kalinchowk. We reached Kalinchowk via jeep. We reached Kalinchowk temple by cable car. We worshiped the god and came back. We reached our hotel and ate our lunch. Then we took rest for an hour. Again, we went to observe the Jatra of Machindranath which was held there. We came back to the hotel and ate our snacks. Early in the morning, we went to observe the Jatra again. The chariot of Machindranath fell down. They pulled up the chariot again. Next day, we went to Tripura temple to worship the god. In Tripura temple, all the people were speaking Newari language. We talked with them in Newari language. We packed our bag then we made a tasty lunch. We returned back home.
British Mathematician, Charles Babbage invented the computer in 1833 and 1871. Early computers were used for calculating. It was huge in size. Even abacus was one of the steps towards the development of the computer. There are many programs on the computer. MS Paint, Wordpad, Microsoft office, daily work, recycle bin, etc are some of the programs of the computer. We can also play games, and see pictures. Nepal uses second generation computers in 1971 AD census. The internet was one of the famous service provided by the computer. The Internet helps to access the world easily. Because of the internet, the world has become small. We can talk to our friends which are very far from us.
My favorite place is Hong Kong. I traveled to Hong Kong last year with my parents. Hong Kong is a very beautiful place. I visited different places in Hong Kong. Some of the places are Tsim Sha Tsui, Big Buddha, Ocean park, Disneyland park, etc. At first, I visited Big Buddha. It is a very beautiful place to visit. A big statue of Buddha is built on the top of a hill. Many people visit the place to watch the statue of Buddha. Next day, I visited Tsima Tui city and traveled riding underground metro train and ship and enjoyed a lot. I visited different places and shopping malls also. Next day, I visited Ocean park. It is also a very beautiful place to visit. There is a zoo in the park. I enjoyed a lot watching different animals. I saw penguins, dolphins, pandas, etc. very closely. I also rode a cable car over the ocean and enjoyed. After that, I visited Disneyland park. This is an amusement park for children. Many children visit the park and come to enjoy there. I enjoyed a lot visiting the place. After visiting that place I came back to Nepal with my parents.
The student generally has to understand the objectives and learning outcomes of a study course. Active participation of the students is required. A student is expected to be involved in interactions with students and teachers alike in any class discussions. In this way, a student will go a long way in retaining what they have learned. Keeping oneself motivated is one of the prime responsibilities of a student. The thinking faculty of the brain has to be tickled alive. In this way, they can associate practical aspects while learning a new idea or concept. Nowadays the role of a teacher is more of a facilitator while the role of a student should be responsible for collecting materials, for learning and doing assignments in their respective places. A student should also be professional to ensure syllabus must be completed by a facilitator within the stipulated time. Finally, effective, accurate communication skills and applying practical what one is learning are a couple of major roles a student has to undertake.
In grade 3, I was good at studying. I had many friends. In grade 3 I had good behavior. I am missing my old friends. I was clean and tidy. My teacher was happy with me. I had participated in many clubs. I’m missing my old teachers. They taught us nicely. My old friends were good students and were very tidy. In grade 3 we had lots of fun.
My school organizes many programs like Dashain celebration, Tihar celebration, children’s celebration, teacher’s day, women’s day and so on in order to refresh the students. The programs conducted in my school are well-organized. We learn many things from such programs. We learn to be disciplined, polite and confident in such programs. It is fun to be in such programs. There is also a parent's day in my school. In parent’s day, we perform many things like dance, music, yoga, drama, vocal, poem and so on. I like all the performances. So our parents do. We decorate our school in all the programs. Thus, I like all the programs conducted in my school.
A computer is a fascinating machine and a gateway to a world of information. The computer has found places at home, at the workplace, and at schools too. The computer plays a major role in human life. The primary purpose of using a computer is to make life easier and we can find many locations, places, knowledge, and many other things. And the computer also has many disadvantages. If there were no computers in the world human life wouldn’t have been easier but our intense dependence on a computer is ruining our social interaction. A computer is a machine so it cannot think and feel on its own. We might be victims of different threats on the internet.
