Yoga is not a religion, but it is a way of living towards ‘a healthy mind in a healthy body’. Keeping this in our mind, DWIT Social Service Club, on 19th of March, organized a 90 minutes session of Yoga in Sagarmatha Hall, Deerwalk Complex at around 10:15 am which was conducted by Isha Foundation.

Isha Foundation is a volunteer-based, non-profit organization founded by  Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, to create an inclusive culture towards global harmony and peace. Sadhguru is famous worldwide for his teachings and views regarding different dimensions of life. He works indefatigably for creating harmony between body, mind and spirit by offering the science of inner wellbeing to every human being.

The event was really overwhelming and was successfully conducted. About 22 DWIT students participated in this session. We had the practical sessions of Yoga, for Health, Success, Wellbeing, Joy and Love. Also, one of the volunteers of Isha Foundation, Mr. Bihan, who is an engineer by profession, shared his great experiences about how his life and thought process got changed after being involved with the Isha Foundation. Furthermore, he urged everyone to practice yoga everyday as it develops a higher patience level which ultimately helps in keeping negative thoughts away. The Yoga practices which were performed during the session was really obliging as it somehow helped everyone to achieve a peaceful body and mind.

The event was well attended and it was appreciated by all the attendees. We would like to extend our gratitude to all those who participated in this session and the volunteers from Isha Foundation for helping us conduct this session.

Everyday is a great day for yoga!
