Our school conducted a virtual tour on Tuesday, 29th September 2020.  Miss Novita Rai narrated the ancient Kathmandu. Novita mam shared seven videos with many pictures of ancient Kathmandu. It was for one hour’s time. The ancient Kathmandu was very beautiful. I saw pictures of Dharahara. Mam shared that the Dharahara fell down during the earthquake because it was old and weak.  There were pictures of Prithvi Narayan Shah in war. There were pictures of soldiers. King Prithvi Narayan Shah was a brave king. He united small kingdoms into one single kingdom, Nepal.  There were pictures of statues of Malla kings. Mam told us that Malla Kings were Newar kings and only Newars lived in Kathmandu in ancient times. There were few people, large farms, and no buildings. I also saw people working in their fields. There were no cars and bikes. People wandered around on their feet. I also saw the first car in Kathmandu being carried by many people. I saw the beautiful Kumari Ghar, Swayambhu Nath Stupa, Boudhanath Stupa, and Pashupatinath Temple. I enjoyed the virtual tour of ancient Kathmandu.
