I woke up at 5 AM with the sound of birds chirping in an excited mood because it was the day I was going to go to Chitwan. I had only very little information about Chitwan; one of those being that it is very pretty, big and has lots of places to roam around. Having heard these, I was very excited as to when the moment was going to arrive, and how Chitwan was going to be. Those kinds of questions were in my mind. I woke up and finished my daily routine, put on my clothes and in excitement, packed my suitcase. Then, we departed from the home. After waiting for some time, the car arrived and then we went to a place to pick up my dad’s friend at Soaltee Apartment which is very tall and huge. After our departure from Kathmandu, we stopped at different places to have food. Then, we reached a religious place called Devghat which was very pretty and we roamed around there for some time and I had also collected some stones by the riverside which were very beautiful. Then, we went to a place to have our lunch which was very delicious. After having lunch, we went to Bhatbhateni Supermarket. We went to our hotel called Green Park and we rested for some time and we went to the pool to dip our legs since it was winter. After that, we went to have dinner and slept. The next day, we woke up and went for breakfast, and that day, we went to the temple Maulakalika. Maulakalika had a cable car hopping on which we went up and came down. This was very fun looking at the forest with only trees. And, we went to CG Temple. CG was also a very huge and aesthetic temple. The hotel we stayed at also had a playground in which I also became a kid and played there and had lots of fun. My cousin had also made some friends in the hotel. Then, we went to the Rapti river by Tanga; a vehicle that is pulled by a horse. Then we had some barbecue (sekuwa) and went to see the cultural Tharu program. There were some programs where the dance was being performed by the only-girls group and the only-boys group. There was also a performance by the boys where they sang their local songs. There was also a peacock that danced on the stage. There was also a dance involving fire. After enjoying the dance, we went to have our dinner in an authentic Tharu restaurant and tried some duck meat which was very delicious. Then, the next day, we went to Chitwan National Park to roam around in an elephant and then, we saw some crocodiles, deer, rhinos and then we returned to our hotel to pack our bags as it was time for our return home. We really enjoyed the Chitwan trip. I didn’t want to return, but I had to.
