Dinosaurs are a group of reptiles that lived on Earth for about 245 million years ago. The word dinosaur came from the Greek words. There were many different kinds of dinosaurs. The first dinosaur was Megalosaurus. It was a large dinosaur. They were meat-eating dinosaurs. They had large heads with sharp teeth, a powerful jaw, and strong hind limbs. They had long and thick tails. Their front legs were short but very strong.
