Shey Phoksundo lake is a famous lake of Nepal. It is located at Dolpa district. It is situated at 3611 metres above sea level. Shey Phoksundo is Y-shaped and covers 4.94 square kilometres. It is 476 feet deep. It is one of the deepest lakes of Nepal and situated in Shey Phoksundo National Park. During the winter season, there are high chances of snowfall and it gets very cold. People cannot move from one place to another place. They have to stay inside their houses. It takes around 7 to 10 days to reach Shey Phoksundo from Kathmandu. We have to walk through jungle, uphill, mountains and rivers to reach there. The colour of water changes its colour due to different seasons. We can also drink water from the lake because it is fresh and drinkable. We have to book hotels before going because it is a tourist destination and it will be packed. I also want to go there.
