Giraffes are the tallest animal in the world. It lives in Africa. They have very long necks and legs. Their bodies are covered with spots. Giraffes eat leaves; especially Acacia Trees. They use their long tongues to grab the leaves. They live in groups called herds. They are gentle animals. Giraffes have special hearts that help pump blood up their long necks. Sadly, there are fewer giraffes now because their homes have been destroyed and they are being hunted. We need to protect them so they can live.
