Mental health is the state of well being. It is a very dynamic topic since it covers a lot of vast terms. In recent times mental health has been a very important aspect to know the well being of an individual. A person’s psychological, emotional and social well being is considered for a person’s good mental state. In my opinion mental health awareness is a very crucial factor of a healthy society. There are also many misconceptions in our society that people having mental issues are abnormal and need special needs but this is not true and I consider lack of education as the main cause of this issue due to which people with bad mental health don't seek for medical treatment due to the fear of being judged in the society. In detail “mental health awareness” is about providing a light to the unseen struggles of people dealing with mental health issues in the society and eventually overcoming them.

This is why mental health awareness can be very helpful for these kinds of people because they get the opportunity to recognize their mental struggles and can seek help with the fear of being judged by the society. This can also give an open environment to the people of these problems to know about each other and each other’s problems more. Without the proper awareness a person cannot take proper steps in order to maintain their mental health. Also a problem I see in today’s generation is that they are provided with devices from a small age and this leads a child to be anti-social and they fear talking to people and fear to open up their feelings in front of their own parents which can lead to depression, anxiety and many other problems. To solve this issue parents should engage their child towards nature rather than providing them with smart gadgets at a very young age. Also the problem of people not accepting people with mental health issues in the society can be fixed if we provide them with proper awareness programmes. This will encourage them to open up about their feelings to the society and eventually cure their problem. In fact, overlooking mental health has led to many problems like social isolation, many social disorders which have genuinely degraded the quality of life of an individual. Awareness can be done through qualitative education which teaches the students about the significance of mental health at a very young age. Also public awareness campaigns should be done in order to educate people who are uneducated. Mental health is very important for fostering understanding and to maintain social cooperation in the society. This also develops a culture of mutual support in the society.

To conclude, by taking these kinds of steps in making people aware about the problems of not considering mental health as an issue in the society can be improved and people can freely talk about their feelings. This way people can prioritize their mental health which leads to a person and his/her family having a qualitative life. This way we can build a society where mental health is valued.
