Cricket is one of the most popular games. It is an outdoor game played between two teams, each consisting of 11 players. That means a total of 22 players participate in the game with interest. The game was first invented in England.
This game is played with a bat, ball, stumps, etc. To decide which team plays first, with their choice, the umpire tosses a coin and gives instructions to play. During play, one team goes for fielding and bowling with the motive to dismiss the other team's batsmen. On the other hand, batsmen try to score as many runs as possible without being out. Nowadays, cricket is played with challenges for fixed overs of bowling like 20 overs, 50 overs, etc. In this game, the umpire makes all decisions, and both teams accept them.
Nowadays, cricket is becoming increasingly popular not only among kids but also among young adults and even women. Many types of tournaments also take place nationally and internationally. At this time, our country Nepal is also playing in the T-20 World Cup. Our country plays cricket, as seen with bats and balls in many corners of the country. The Nepali cricket teams, both women and men, represent nationally and internationally. The dedication and interest toward this game have made it very popular. My favorite league is the Indian Premier League (IPL).
In my opinion, cricket is a well-disciplined and good game for our health. We should play it carefully because sometimes the ball can hit us badly.
