What's the reason for this treason?
I yearn to be as free as a pigeon,
Soaring far and wide,
From night's embrace to the daytime ride.
I feel ensnared within this cage,
Brimming with emotions, an inner rage,
Emotions locked in, hard to express,
Secret feelings, I must confess.
Gazing at the azure sky so high,
It brings a tear to my eye,
Thinking I may never touch the sky,
Yet it spurs me on to try.
Though I stumble each time,
Is freedom truly a crime?
Nonetheless, I won't sigh,
I'll persist until the day I die.
