I had my first hiking experience going to Nagi Gumba with my family. It is located in Shivapuri national park.
We planned to go hiking one weekend and my mother packed some food and drinks. We first took our private vehicle and started hiking from the Shivapuri National park’s gate. We found many people going to Nagi Gumba and Bishnudwar on our way. I enjoyed the beautiful greenery and peaceful surroundings during the hike. We kept walking and took some rest inbetween.
The road was good but some parts were slippery. I also took some short cuts through the steep places. Some of the places were difficult to climb but the roots and branches of trees made it easier to climb through. I could hear sounds of different birds chirping. I also saw small water springs on the way.
After two hours of walking, we reached the destination. The gumba was beautiful and located in a big area at the top of the hill. We sat down in the garden and had our lunch enjoying the cool breeze. It was a good feeling being there. We stayed there for about an hour and returned back home.
