Nepal's Geographical Structure

Nepal is a landlocked country in South Asia. It is located in central Asia and is the world's most elevated country, with eight world ten highest mountains, including Mount Everest, the highest mountain on Earth. Nepal is home to a diverse range of landscapes, from the snow-capped mountains to the tropical Terai lowlands.


The geographical structure of Nepal is divided into three regions: the Himalayas, the Hilly region, and the Terai. The Himalayas are the highest and most mountainous region and are home to the country's highest peaks. The Mahabharat Lekh is a lower mountain range that runs parallel to the Himalayas. Most of the Nepalese population lies in the Terai region.


Nepal's climate varies depending on the region. The Himalayas are cold and dry, while the Terai is hot and humid. The Mahabharat Lekh has a temperate climate.


Nepal is beautiful and diverse, with a rich history and culture. It is a popular tourist destination for its mountains, temples, and wildlife. Some of the most popular tourist destinations in Nepal include:


Mount Everest: The highest mountain in the world, Mount Everest is a popular destination for mountaineers and hikers. We can ascend to such peaks from both Nepal and Tibet.


Kathmandu Valley: The Kathmandu Valley is home to the capital city of Kathmandu, as well as many other temples, monasteries, and historical sites. The valley is also home to the world's UNESCO World Heritage Sites.


Pokhara: Pokhara, a city lies just below the Himalayas and is a popular destination for trekking, paragliding, and boating. It is also home to Phewa Lake, the second-largest lake in Nepal.


Chitwan National Park: Chitwan National Park is a national park located in the Terai region and is home to diverse wildlife, including tigers, rhinos, and elephants. It is also home to the endangered Gharial crocodile.
