I chose badminton this year because my parents told me to try something new. I could barely hold the rácket well when I started playing. Hitting the shuttlecock was more difficult. Serving was the hardest of them all. But it is a fun sport. I made my parents play with me at home. I realised that one has to be in a good posture so that the racket can swing freely. And, one has to move your legs too!
Our badminton coach helped me with swinging the racket in different ways. Now, I have got to the point that I enjoy playing with my friends at school. I am a beginner now. But it is a complex sport and I have a long way to go.
