Hi! My name's Cup. I am a turtle. I live in Mr. and Mrs. Hatcher's house. Mrs. Hatcher is an animal lover. She loves to have a pet, while Mr. Hatcher hates animals in his house. Mrs. Hatcher brought me home recently. Mr. Hatcher doesn't like me. He washes his hands from time to time after touching my enclosure. I feel a little bad. But Mrs. Hatcher is not like that. She takes good care of me and cleans my enclosure. I also like her.
I don't want to say this, but Mr. Hatcher thinks that I am a big trouble for him because of an incident. Let me tell you about that incident. One day, Mr. Hatcher got a promotion. He was very happy. Mrs. Hatcher was at her office. Mr. Hatcher had some paperwork to do. He was home until 1 o'clock in the afternoon. He was busy with the paperwork and had to go to the office at 1:30. He wore a big black coat and a tie. The coat looked overdressed on him, but it was new, so he wore it. He collected all the papers carefully and put them in a folder, making sure that none of the papers were missing. Then he combed his hair and rushed to the door. He was in such a hurry that he didn't even look at me. His hand mistakenly hit my enclosure, and both me and my water pot fell down. The water spilled onto his leg. Mr. Hatcher tripped over the pot and fell. His papers spread and fell into the spilling water. The papers were all wet and ruined. He was shocked and picked up the papers. They were wet, and he tried to dry them, but the letters were smudged. He didn't think about anything. He didn't even consider how I would have felt lying on the floor. That day, Mr. Hatcher lost his promotion and was really sad. He believes that this problem was caused by me. That night, when Mrs. Hatcher came home, Mr. Hatcher told her everything. She felt sad for him, but that night she was only busy cleaning my enclosure and taking care of me. I also felt really sad for Mr. Hatcher that he had lost the promotion. Did you feel the same way?
