Groundhogs

Groundhogs are adorable, fluffy, and intelligent animals. They hibernate in the winter. On February 2, it is GroundHog Day. It just so happens to be my birthday, so they come out and look around. They see their shadow; it is winter for six more weeks, and they continue their hibernation. But if they don’t see their shadow, they decide it is summer and get up from hibernation. Groundhogs are very smart animals, as they whistle to communicate with one another. Rather than hedgehogs, they are more closely related to squirrels. They build their own homes, which is very impressive! Farmers consider them a nuisance for some reason. As a result, other names for groundhogs, such as woodchucks, have nothing to do with wood. Land beavers and whistle pigs are very skilled when it comes to climbing and swimming, which lets them escape some less skilled animals.
