The earth is a member of the solar family. It is the only planet on which all plants and animals live. The shape of the earth is round, like an orange. The surface of the earth is made up of land, water, soil, and rock. The surface of the land is found in different forms. The terrain is divided into mountain ranges, hills, plains, and valleys. The landforms that rise higher than 600 meters from the surrounding area are called mountains. Mountains are called mountains. Mountains are taller than hills. They have steep slopes and peaks that are rounded or shaped. Mountain ranges are groups of mountains. It is difficult to climb mountains. A hill is a piece of land that rises higher than the land around it. It looks like a little bump on the earth. Generally, hills rise up to 600 meters from the land around them. Hills are a good place to get a nice view. It is easier to climb hills. They are less steep and not very high. Hills appear in many sizes, from small to flat, high to rolling.
