A balanced diet is one that includes every category of nutrient. It is important to eat a balanced diet to ensure our health. A balanced diet consists of every food group that we need to prevent ourselves from harmful infections and diseases. There are six primary nutrients that our body requires for proper functioning: fibre, vitamins, proteins, carbohydrates, fats, and minerals. Benefits of a balanced diet:
It helps us improve memory and brain health.
A balanced diet can protect the human body against certain types of diseases.
It helps in the proper growth of the body.
It increases the capacity to work.
