Basketball is a sport originated in the U.S.A. It is a team sport in which two teams have five players each. It is played on a basketball court. One has to dribble, pass, run and throw the ball to the hoop to score. A team can score one, two, or three points by successfully shooting the ball in the hoop. The game is divided into four quarters. The team that scores the most points wins the match. Therefore, it is one of the most popular sports.
