A Particular Color

I remember that day, that particular color-
But my mind is fuzzy now, don’t know for sure;
I believe ’twas maroon, but deeper it was,
I believe ’twas navy, but colder it was;

I still ponder, if I was underwater…
I ask myself, I ask myself, myself I ask again;
I believe ’twas yellow, yet warmer the feeling,
I believe ’twas red, yet horrifying it was;

I miss that feeling, my lord i wish,
Insecure I am; and I still remember;
I believe ’twas gray, lonelier it was as much
I believe ’twas white, happier it was as much.

Was I dreaming or was it lucid?
The reality haunts me now; I don’t know;
I believe was celeste, heavenly I assume,
I believe was emerald, noble I assume,
Believing isn’t enough, I must feel it again,
Dark as black or transparent as white,
Pale as gray and I don’t care if ’twas as sweet as pink-
A particular color, perfection it was.

As far as it flexes, or as straight as a stick,
Perfection it achieved, yet I can’t remember;
I want it back, can’t I have it? I need some answers,
I want it back for you, that particular color;
I want it back for you, that particular color.
