This movie is about a very big hearted and flower loving bull calf named Ferdinand who escapes from a Spanish bull-training camp. He finds Nina's Idyllic and fragrant farm. There he gets adopted by a family’s daughter, Nina and her father. Ferdinand grows up as a kind giant bull. Unfortunately, due to golden busy bees he gets sent back to “The old Casa del Toro Academy”, where the famous Matador, El Primero, usually selects his worthy bovine opponents for the arena. Ferdinand didn't want to end up like his dad; he wanted to be free and live. So he decided to leave the bull training center. Before leaving, he again thought about his childhood friends who are still there. So he decided to make a team of Guapo, Paco, Una, Bones, Moreno, Valentín and all of his childhood friends. They successfully escape that cruel training center. The process of escaping from the Spanish bull training is so comedic and fun to watch that I couldn't stop laughing.
But while escaping, they were being chased by the trainers of the bull training center. Ferdinand risked his life to save his friends. He got caught and was again brought back to the training center. He was chosen as the bull for the bullfighting show. Ferdinand should now fight El Primero, one of the greatest bullfighters in Spain. He was taken to the fighting ground where Primerio started attacking harshly but Ferdinand didn't want to harm Primerio so he just played with him and made fun of him. The way Ferdinand fought made the audience burst into laughter. Whereas, his friends were worried about Ferdinand so they came to save him. With his friends, Nina and his father were also there to save Ferdinand. The fight ended with the floral rain by the audience because of the love the bull had for humans. At the end of the movie Ferdinand returns to his family and his friends. They live freely and happily in Nina's idyllic and fragrant farm.

This movie talks to us about family love and affection. Though this movie is fictional, yet, it indicates that every being has their right to live a free and happy life. I would definitely recommend this movie to parents with children; it is a very entertaining movie with different significant lessons.
