Our Dashain vacation started on 13th Ashoj and ended on 26th Ashoj. The length of the vacation was 16 days. Our vacation started on the day of Ghatasthapana. On the day of Ghatasthapana, people sow jamara for Dashami. The preparation starts for the festival of Dashain. People start flying kites from the day. People build swings and some gamble. Many people go to the village to celebrate Dashain.
Dashain is a festival that brings joy and happiness. I did not go outside Kathmandu this Dashain. I read Stephen Hawking's "The Brief History of Time". I enjoyed the book and was able to finish the book. I flew kites with my friends. I have also started reading Yuval Noah Harari's book ' Sapiens: A brief history of mankind.’ I completed all the assignments provided by teachers. My Dashain vacation was wonderful and fun.
