Verses go silent
not a word to be heard.
The choir of the group turns down
remaining bodies over the crowd.
Blood all over..
death at dawn.
No regret for its visit
nor a proper farewell for it’s gone.
Meant to be home tomorrow night
cuddling the little ones
with the grown ups by his side
celebrating his return from this tide.
But the ship he took,
wasn't strong enough to bear it all
when saw the others on the ground
He couldn't stand along
Remembering all he could grab the memories of his birth
till the day with the little ones on his lap
and to this day in this trap
Not lying to himself,
praying for his dear ones
sheds a drop of tear
for he bids the last goodbye.
