The Roman Empire was one of the biggest empires in the ancient world. The Roman armies were known for their fighting abilities and discipline. They were well equipped with metal armour, wooden shields and weapons. They also used different creative ideas to defeat their opponents.
They were also great architects and engineers. They were the first ones to use concrete for constructing roads, stone vaults, walls, channels and bridges.
