The Cries of The Street

I hear cries of the street,
The cries of the innocents.
Their tears running down like blood,
Flowing through humanity.

Children crying through hunger,
Adults crying through poverty,
And some crying remembering the forgotten few,
Who died on the same street.

I hear cries on the street.
The cries of the broken heart,
The cries of the wounds,
That never seems to be healed.

Is it actually their fault?
Their fault for being born this way?
Are they the one to be blamed?
For living a life they never wanted?

The street cries,
Until humanity sets them free.
Until the miracle they hoped for,
Comes true.

Until then,
I hear the cries of the street.
