Nepal is a beautiful country with lots of natural heritages such as: mountains, lakes, ponds, rivers etc. The highest peak of Nepal is Mt. Everest(Sagarmatha) with 8,848m. The other mountains are: Makalu, Manaslu, Annapurna, Langtang, Cho oyu etc. Nepal is also rich in water resources. The major rivers of Nepal are Koshi, Mechi, Kali Gandaki, Karnali etc. The ponds of Nepal are Gahanapokhari, Naagpokhari, Taudaha etc. The biggest pond in Nepal is Lainchour Pokhari.The biggest lake in Nepal is Rara lake. The other lakes are Tilicho Lake, Begnas Lake, Phewa lake, Shey-Phoksundo lake etc. There are lots of temples in Nepal too . The famous ones are: Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath, Muktinath, etc. These Temples represent our ancient stories and history. We need to protect our natural heritages since it is our pride. We should not throw any garbage and waste in the water resources. We should renovate our temples if needed.
