Ayush Gauchan was born in June 10th 2002 is a Nepalese singer-songwriter. Born and raised in Kathmandu, started writing music at the tender age of 16. In early 2021, Gauchan independently released “Maya” ,which took him a year to release officially. Some of his famous works include “Maya”, “One More Time” and “Mero Prarthana”.
Early life and education
Ayush Gauchan was born in Kathmandu, Nepal on June 10th 2002. His early childhood was spent gaming in different local internet cafes. As he realised his passion for music at the age of 13 which he avidly pursued florising as a music sensation in Nepal . Gauchan graduated from the Chand bagh school and continued his secondary schooling in Ace higher secondary school. He graduated high school with not so appealing marks and took a break to pursue his music career . During this time he decided to channel his inner passion for music and devoted himself to writing, production and composition of music.
Career
He kick started his career by volunteering for many school festivals and carnival . He gradually built a small but devoted fanbase . In his early years into music he primarily indulged in playing the rhythm guitar and slowly found his passion toward songwriting and production.He released his first song “Mero Prarthana” and released his break through song “Maya” in early 2021 .
Maya
Ayush Gauchan released his breakthrough single on 20 January , 2021 independently. It is his best-selling single and, according to spotify editorial chart , has crossed four million plays currently. The album is listed as the 5th most played single in Nepal , and was the fourteenth most played single of 2021 in India. An instrumental version containing the instrumental , was released on 20 January, 2022. The song was inspired by a subsequent breakup.
The audio was Produced by Sanjv and Storenutter (Class X Presentation) and was directed, edited and colored by Mr. GM . While his music video was Co-Director Ming Sherap with the cinematography directed by Mr. GM and Bhuchung Sherap .With the production managed by Abiral Bhujel . Some of his other songs include One More Time(2020) Mero Prarthana(2020) which though are not popular as his breakthrough song still is regarded as a masterpiece by his die hard fan .
