First of all, what is yoga? Yoga is physical, mental and spiritual practice. It is basically an exercise that helps us to move our bodies in different positions and makes us more flexible.

Yoga is an ancient practice of self-denial that connects the mind with the body. It is a process that involves controlling breathing, easy meditation, and adapting to a balanced body image by balancing the elements of our body.  Yoga is extensively rehearsed for good health, physical and internal relaxation.

The definition of Yoga literally means “union”. This union means a good relationship between body and mind. Yoga, based on the laws of the universe, can also be described as the science of creating a balance between body and soul, relaxation and work.

Now let us talk about the benefits of yoga.

Yoga can also help us beat the following symptoms :

  1. Insomnia
  2. Depression
  3. Boost our energy
  4. Happiness
  5. Encourage a healthy weight

As we all know, yoga plays a very big roles in our physical and mental health and some of them are increasing balance, improving baroreflex (that helps to maintain blood pressure at nearly constant levels) sensitivity, enhancing flexibility, healthy heart rate, improving kidney function, lessening or buffering menopausal symptoms, relieving pain, improving the quality of life, reducing sleep disturbances, improving social and occupational functioning, increasing strength, lowering obesity, reducing stress and many more.

It helps to keep our mental and physical health strong and connects us with nature. In addition, our body becomes more flexible after regular yoga practice and develops a healthy sense of self-discipline and self-awareness. In short, it improves our well-being and gives us better mental clarity.
